ELEMENT 5.3 - STAY IN DANGER ZONE
Learning objective:
35) The participants can take responsibility that no one is in the danger zone when the lift is switched on (Ability, intermediate level)
The instructor shall:
Observe the participants conduct when working in the lift area
Provide guidance and feedback on the participants’ performance during the practical training in relation to work areas and danger zones, and interference when necessary, in relation to maintaining safety
The participants shall:
Engage in the practical training moments, take initiative and responsibility to ensure that nobody is in the safety zone when the lift is switched on, and receive feedback constructively
ELEMENT 5.4 - SAFETY IN THE LIFT TRAVEL RANGE
Learning objective:
36) The participants can take responsibility for not using the lift if there are obstacles in the travel range of the lift (Ability, intermediate level)
The instructor shall:
Lead a discussion about risks and hazards from obstacles in the lift travel range
Where possible, present examples of obstacles (including people in the travel range) and demonstrate how to remove these
Ensure participants do not use the lift if there are obstacles in the lift travel range
Provide feedback on the participants’ performance during the practical training
