Ensure participants’ understanding by having the participants describe how to inspect the different guide wheels
The participants shall:
Follow the presentations and afterwards describe to the instructor or to fellow participants how to inspect guide wheels
ELEMENT 6.4 - ROLLER GUIDE UNIT INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE
Learning objectives:
39) The participants can explain how to do a visual inspection of a roller guide unit (Knowledge, intermediate level)
40) The participants recognise when a roller guide unit is in flawless condition (Knowledge, basic level)
41) The participants can take responsibility to request the roller guide unit is changed when needed, in accordance with the manual (Ability, intermediate level)
The instructor shall:
Present and explain examples of roller guide units in both flawless and damaged conditions
Explain correct actions in case of detected damages to roller guide units
Facilitate an exercise on inspecting roller guide units
Provide individual feedback to participants on their performance
The participants shall:
Practise how to inspect roller guide units
Engage in discussions and share experiences on inspecting roller guide units and about actions to be taken in case of damaged roller guide units
Receive and reflect on feedback
