sider how the Lord wqrks in the hearts of His people in answering the prayer of faith. Feeling especially led to go down to this particular barn and see how the students who were engaged in this work were getting along, we came into the division just as the meeting closed. Not having been there for some time and despite the fact that the meeting had closed, we felt it best to speak, as the men expect us to do this when we come. Throughout the meeting we were conscious of a fine, respectful hearing on the part of the men, and at the close a young man came up to us for a further word. In conversation with him, we found he was Just on the verge of accepting Christ, and rejoiced when finally we heard him say, “ I will take ChriBt as my Saviour." ‘ Upon inquiry we found that this man had been the subject of much in terest and prayer, and that only the night before the Christian wife at home had urged him to accept Christ, and told him that she was praying for him. In view of this little Incident we can see why God led us that afternoon to that barn; how in spite of the fact that the meeting had closed He led us to speak, thus interesting this man, and finally leading him to Christ. This is but one of the many ways in which God leads His people in an swering the prayer of faith. May we not then continue in special prayer for God’s blessing and leadership this coming month for the shop workers of the Bible Institute. Brethren, pray for us. ¿Me. Mi WORK AMONG THE JEWS David L. Cooper, Supt.— Bible Classes and Personal Work, Street Meetings and Semi monthly Mass Meetings for Jews of Los Angeles. on Deut. 32, The Song of Moses, which was illustrated with lantern slides giv ing the Hebrew text and Biblical pic tures descriptive of the same, was de livered by the writer. This series was an exposition of the Hebrew text of this wonderful National Hymn, which was delivered by Moses Just before his decease, and which traces Israel’s his tory from that time throughout the centuries to the time when. God “ will make expiation for His land, for His people,” which time is the millennial age. God has wonderfully blessed these expositions to the strengthening not only of the Hebrew Christians, but of the Gentiles who have faithfully attended. On account of the fact that many of the supporters of these meetings will be away on their vacations during the Jewish Evangelization [UR last semi-monthly Jewish meeting for the summer was held on the fourth Sunday of June (27 ). At this meeting the last lecture of a series
ing crowd as we stood on the street, the tears raining down his face. It was easy to draw him In to the seclu sion of the hall, back to our little prayer room, and pour out our heart In his behalf, and then to hear him sobbing out his own heart to Him who seeth in secret and rewardeth openly. This man would have still been carrying his great burden of sin had it not been for the personal touch, and he is only one of the many strewn all along life's pathway waiting for the human touch constrained by love divine to go out and bring them in. Following this one came a fine specimen of a man, feeling the tug of God upon his soul to go out and tell the story, greatly desiring to know his Bible so he could use it in winning men to Christ. As we rose from our knees he turned to us and said with a sob in his voice, “ Do you know thlB is the very first time in all my life anyone outside my wife has ever knelt and prayed with and for me, and the first time ohtside the privacy of my own closed door I have ever in' the presence of another lifted my voice to my heavenly Father in prayer." All this because of the personal touch. “ Oh, ye saints, arouse, be earnest! up and work while yet rtis day; Ere the night of death o'ertakes thee, strive for souls while still you may. Must I go and empty handed? Must . f I meet my Saviour so? Not one soul with which to greet Him; must I empty handed go?" .414. m WORK IN THE SHOPS Marion H.
