PEGASUS COACH HOUSE CAFÉ
A New Space for Connection at Pegasus School
The new Coach House Café has officially opened at Pegasus School, creating a welcoming space where young people can come together throughout the day to enjoy meals, conversation and time with friends. Designed to be much more than a dining area, the newly renovated café provides an environment that encourages connection, community and positive shared experiences. It offers a comfortable and inviting setting where young people can relax, socialise and enjoy being part of school life.
Celebrating a milestone
The official opening was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by SENAD Chairman Brian Jones. Colleagues, neighbours and young people gathered to celebrate the launch of the new café and the positive impact it will have on daily life at the school.
Making a difference
The Coach House Café represents more than a refurbishment project. It is an investment in creating meaningful experiences, supporting social interaction and providing a space where young people can feel comfortable, connected and part of a thriving school community.

In September, we attended Spectrum Derbyshire, an autism-friendly festival that brings people together in a welcoming and inclusive environment. The event provided an opportunity for young people, adults, families, carers and professionals to connect and enjoy a range of activities. One of the people we support from Ecclesbourne Lodge had a wonderful day taking part in the festivities and enjoying new experiences. Our team welcomed visitors to the SENAD stand, speaking with families, professionals and local organisations about our specialist education, care and community services, while highlighting the importance of inclusive events that help people feel welcome, valued and supported.
We were pleased to attend this year's festival, and we look forward to returning in 2027 and continuing to support an event that promotes inclusion, community engagement and meaningful connections.
