Camille Bello Academic Advisor College of Education and Professional Studies (CEPS) Cami has been an integral part of the College of Education and Professional Studies advising team. She has helped shepherd hundreds of students through the graduation and teacher certification requirements for Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Physical Ed and School Health, Sport Management and Dance. Students see her as a valuable resource and advocate, and her contributions to the university are too numerous to name. Thank you, Cami, for your dedication! James Brese Campus Police Officer University Police and Public Safety We are proud to recognize James Brese for five years of dedicated service to CWU. James began his career with four years in Facilities, where he consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic, reliability, and leadership. Over the past year, he has continued that same dedication in his current role as a Police Officer, serving the CWU community with professionalism, integrity, and leadership. James’s vast knowledge of the university, combined with his experience and commitment to the CWU Police Department, has made a lasting positive impact. Megan Dickinson Administrative Assistant 3 Law and Justice

Megan has become the cornerstone of our department. She has a level of dedication and drive that is unparalleled and her commitment to those around her truly exemplifies what CWU strives to be. She has consistently gone above and beyond the call. She is the brains and brawn behind many of our department’s large-scale events including the Law and Justice Career Fair and the Law Enforcement Expo in which Megan had to work logistics of large- scale law enforcement assets including landing helicopters on campus. Megan has also played a critical role in helping the Departments Field Placement program. She maintains close connections with various agencies to facilitate student internships, employment, and research opportunities. The department has accomplished much in the last five years, much which would not have been possible without Megan. We cannot express our appreciation for her enough.

Corinne Grieve Administrative Assistant 2 Aerospace

Corinne has been an exceptional advisor and a trusted source of insight for both me and the Air Force ROTC staff. Shelby King Program Specialist 3 International Studies and Programs

When needed, Shelby takes responsibility. Twice, she took on additional responsibilities on an interim basis, then earned a promotion when those responsibilities became permanent. Shelby has guided our international students through political turmoil that has shaken their world. She has remained calm, communicative, caring, professional, and humane. She continues to remain engaged with the news, new policies and regulations, to serve our students during the greatest crisis in international education since 1945. Thank you Shelby! Katie Parks Assistant Director – Violence Prevention and Responsibility Office of Health Promotion Katie is a passionate advocate for supporting students and improving processes, most specifically in the areas of healthy relationships, sexual well- being and interpersonal violence prevention. Most notable is her ability to build caring and collaborative relationships across CWU and Ellensburg. She approaches work with a kind nature, team spirit and willingness to look for commonalities and prioritize deep connection. Katie's meticulous attention to detail is an asset for our team, particularly in balancing my propensity for "winging it." Thomas Pedersen Director of Policy and Ethics Finance and Administration

Over the past five years, Thomas Pedersen has established and led critical enterprise-level functions, including the Title IX and Compliance Office and the Policy and Ethics Office, and is currently spearheading the implementation of an Enterprise Risk Management framework. Grounded in compliance yet informed by practical, real-world insight, Thomas brings a thoughtful and strategic perspective that continues to guide the university forward on these essential priorities. Angelica Sanchez Custodian 1 Custodial Services

Justin Santoli Program Manager Student Activities Multicultural Center Justin Santoli came to CWU from Florida during the height of COVID, having only experienced Ellensburg and the university through video before making the leap across the country. Since arriving, he has wasted no time making his mark on campus, first as the advisor for the Equity and Services Council and now as the recently promoted Assistant Director of the Multicultural Center. Justin is deeply passionate about student success and creating spaces where students feel supported, connected, and empowered. He brings dedication, authenticity, and a strong sense of care to his work each day. Beyond his leadership and commitment to students, Justin’s personality and unique interests, including his impressive enamel pin collection, make him a memorable and valued member of the CWU community. Christopher Shryock Academic Advisor College of Education and Professional Studies (CEPS) Chris is a valuable member of the College of Education and Professional Studies advising team, and a key contributor to the Department of Aviation's success. Lisa is phenomenal! She has a rare gift of being incredibly productive while producing top-tier work. Gaspar Cardiel Custodian 1 Custodial Services

Gaspar spent several years caring for Dean Hall but in recent years has made the move to Health Science and Hebeler. He is diligent about his maintenance logbooks, and his spaces are always meticulously organized. Gaspar takes a great deal of pride in doing a wonderful job and it consistently reflects in his work. Maria Contreras Custodian 3 Custodial Services

Maria is currently one of our academic custodial leads and she makes great efforts to ensure unique spaces on campus are cleaned to meet our service level agreement and will recommend adjustments to maintain those standards. Maria has been a great addition to our leadership team sharing her experience and knowledge of campus. She collaborates well with the team to meet the demands of busy buildings, and when she encounters something new, she takes the initiative to find the answer. Ashley Hanby Program Manager – Career Technology Education Family and Consumer Sciences Ashley provides essential oversight of FCS’s Career and Technical Education programs and has been instrumental in guiding them through several significant transitions. She excels at developing and implementing innovative procedures and structures that have allowed programs to adapt and grow stronger in the face of shifting needs. Kim Hansen Administrative Assistant 4 CWU Libraries

Ten years, countless accomplishments, and now a brand-new role, Kim Hansen is just getting started! Since 2016, she’s been the go-to problem solver, space transformer, and steady leader behind so many library successes. From budgets to student spaces, she makes it all better (and makes it look easy). Now, as CWU Libraries’ new Director of Operations and Strategic Initiatives, Kim is ready to take things to the next level, bringing vision, energy, and heart to everything she does.

Forrest Hollingsworth Program Support Supervisor 1 Multimedia Technology and Instructional Support Forrest has been a steady behind the scenes contributor for Multimodal Learning, the Multimodal Education Center, the Connected Classrooms Crew, and the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning. They have enabled us to keep moving forward by expertly overseeing our budgets, essential university reporting, and collaboratively working with faculty and staff in need of support. Deanna Marshall Manager – Northwest Earth and Space Sciences Pathways Physics Lured from Hawaii ten years ago, Deanna instantly became an indispensable part of the Physics Department, inspiring a diverse cohort of students to pursue STEM while supporting them along the way. Now as Program Manager of NESSP, she tackles challenges with energy, creativity, joy, and grit. Whether organizing trips to Kennedy Space Center, mentoring staff, or bouncing through the halls in an orange astronaut jumpsuit, Deanna makes the impossible happen and leaves a lasting impact on everyone around her.

Louise is, without question, one of the best CWU employees I have ever encountered. Tiffany Smith Counseling Psychologist Student Counseling Services

Tiffany has had a number of roles – Academic Advisor, Case Manager, and Therapist – over her time at CWU. In each role, she has brought dedication, intentionality, care, and a deep appreciation and celebration of every person she works with. Nick Steinmetz IT System Admin – Journey Computer Support Services

Nick came to CWU in 2012 to pursue his degree and joined the Information Services Service Desk team as a student employee - beginning his journey into the world of technology support. He graduated in 2015 with a degree in Information Technology and Management and was hired at the Service Desk. In addition to providing outstanding technology support, Nick became the Team Dynamix administrator for CWU. When Nick isn’t doing all things technology, he enjoys gaming, home lab/digital organization, and spending time with family and his cats. Cheyanne began her journey at CWU as a student and then a student employee at Facilities management. After she graduated, Cheyanne accepted a full-time position with Central Facilities as a Cartographer. Beyond her core duties she serves on the Facilities Safety Team and participates in a wide range of campus initiatives. In addition to her technical expertise with CAD/ GIS mapping and data systems, Cheyanne is personable, well organized, and a great problem solver. Addison Wenger Instruction and Classroom Support Technician 3 Physics

For ten years, Addison Wenger has been an invaluable member of the Physics Department. An alumnus of CWU Physics, he brings exceptional technical skill, calm reliability, and a willingness to help with anything—from classroom or planetarium emergencies to the pumpkin drops and summer academies. 15 Year Honorees Emil Babik Engineering Technician 3 Chemistry

Emil Babik has been in the Chemistry Department since the 2010-2011 Academic Year at Central Washington University. He is more than an Engineering Technician who sets up, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs instrumentation in Chemistry, Biology, and Geology. Emil supports and co-mentors students alongside faculty as they navigate and master instrumentation in the laboratory, whether it is for a formal course or for student-research. His input/contributions are invaluable, and his energy/attitude is always supportive and positive in COTS! Cindy Carleton Cindy oversees the university catalog and academic calendar with exceptional care and precision. Officer Hadaller has proudly served the CWU community with distinction, consistently embodying the “Wildcat Way” through his conduct, leadership, and engagement with students, staff, and visitors. He has been awarded the Department Life Saving Award, a testament to his courage, quick thinking, and dedication in critical moments. His actions reflect the highest standards of law enforcement and his deep commitment to protecting life. Officer Hadaller has contributed significantly to the development of others within the department by serving as a Field Training Officer, a Taser Instructor, and a trusted mentor to new officers, helping to shape the next generation of law enforcement professionals. He is also among the select few CWU family members who have completed the Traditions Keeper program and earned the coveted medal—an honor that reflects his deep connection to the university’s values and traditions.

Throughout her time at the Wildcat Shop, Nicole has advanced into our Lead Merchandise Buyer, continually evolving her career and elevating our retail offerings. She has a keen eye for fashion and is always anticipating fashion trends to ensure the shop features the latest styles. Beyond buying, she plays an important role in supporting student learning by working with CWU classes on retail projects and helping teach our student staff about the retail industry. 20 Year Honorees Miriam Bocchetti

Executive Director – Federal Grants College Assistant Migrant Program

Dr. Miriam Bocchetti exemplifies a homegrown leader at CWU. Beginning as a Graduate Assistant for CAMP, she now serves as Executive Director of Federal Grants, overseeing CAMP, HEP, EOC, SSS–Academic Achievement Programs, and MASA in partnership with the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI), extending her impact statewide. Her expertise in securing and sustaining federal grants has expanded access to education for hundreds of students and families. An avid reader and trivia expert, she brings knowledge and curiosity to her work. Thank you for twenty years of dedicated service and leadership in advancing student success! David Cordner Instruction & Classroom Support Technician 3 Geography David brings deep technical expertise to the geographic information systems and computer science labs, where he assists students during classes and drop-in hours. Student evaluations regularly mention how helpful he was toward their success in classes. Additionally, David has provided technical support and programming work to CWU contracts and partnerships. He is a wizard at GPS and location technologies, remote sensing, and web map programming, and he maintains the Central Washington Historical Aerial Photograph Project.

Pat Delaford Director of Academic Advising College of Education and Professional Studies (CEPS) Pat brings twenty years of dedicated service to CWU, advancing advising across campus and within CEPS. His experience spans progressive roles, culminating in his current position as Director of Advising for CEPS. He is widely recognized as conscientious, steady, and dependable. Kimberly Graham-Roseburg Administrative Assistant 2 University Recreation Administration Kim Graham-Roseburg has long been the backbone of the Recreation Department. Her dedication to serve the campus, and her detailed-oriented approach has been integral to our administration and operations of the department. The institutional knowledge that she has accumulated over decades is utilized daily. The impact of her daily work pales in comparison to the size of her heart. Kathy Johnson Human Resources Consultant – Learning Human Resources Kathy Johnson has been a valued member of the CWU community for twenty years, beginning in the Provost’s Office and Faculty Relations before dedicating most of her career to Human Resources. She helped launch the Learning Tab in MyCWU and has brought colleagues together through First Friday Leadership Talks. Known for her patience, kindness, and technical expertise, Kathy is a trusted resource for learning support and an exceptional course creator. Alex Lange Administrative Assistant 2 Family and Consumer Sciences

Alex has been part of the Family and Consumer Sciences department longer than most faculty and truly is the backbone of our work. From processing forms and scheduling classes to purchasing program materials, tracking budgets, and navigating travel authorizations, Alex does it all with kindness and exceptional attention to detail. One of her greatest strengths is her commitment to building relationships, and her connections across campus help us meet any need imaginable. We couldn’t do it without you, Alex!

Kristy Magdlin Administrative Assistant 2 History Department

Kristy has worked for CWU for more than twenty years and for the History Department since 2021. She brings broad experience, keen intelligence (and common sense), artistic creativity, sharp analytical skills, a warm personality, and a can-do attitude to all that she does. It is difficult to imagine how we would manage the business of the department without her. We feel truly fortunate to have such an accomplished and talented office manager and colleague.

Jason Ringer IT Data Management – Journey Networks and Operations

Jason joined CWU in 2005 as a Functional Application Specialist. Over the years, he has held several roles supporting enterprise systems, becoming a PeopleSoft Analyst in 2007. In 2012, he earned his Bachelor of Applied Science in Information Technology and Administrative Management (ITAM) from CWU and transitioned into an Oracle DBA role. He expanded his database expertise further by becoming a SQL Server DBA in 2015 and has been a member of the Enterprise System Services (ESS) team since 2016. Outside of work, Jason enjoys spending time outdoors camping, hunting, and exploring trails in his jeep. Thanks, Jason!

Gavin Spomer IT System Administration – Journey CWU Libraries

For twenty years, Gavin has played a vital role in shaping CWU Libraries’ online presence. From managing the website and user authentication to maintaining reliable access to OneSearch and research databases, his work keeps our community connected. A proud CWU alum and lifelong learner, he approaches each new systems challenge with skill and positivity. Outside of work, Gavin enjoys percussion and prog rock, Legos, mountain biking, and Comic-Con, bringing creativity and curiosity to everything he does.

Stacy Swayze Director of Customer Experience Computer Support Services

As Director of Customer Experience within Information Services, Stacy has positively impacted CWU through his commitment to enhancing the campus community’s IT experience and advancing operational excellence. Stacy consistently demonstrates his dedication to making IT services both user-friendly and tailored to their needs. Kelly Zakel-Larson Administrative Assistant 3 Sociology

In honor of her twenty years of dedicated service, Kelly Zakel-Larson exemplifies the very best of our department. She is a highly organized, reliable, and communicative administrative assistant whose steady professionalism ensures smooth departmental operations and exceptional support for our students. Kelly has consistently gone above and beyond her role, most notably by stepping in to provide critical administrative support for the Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies program. Dawn Anderson Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Student Engagement and Success SES Vice President Dawn Anderson has been a dedicated member of the Central Washington University community for twenty- five years, bringing energy, professionalism, and a student-centered approach to every role she serves. From serving as Secretary Senior in the College of Arts and Humanities to Program Support Supervisor in Graduate Studies to currently serving as the Executive Administrative Assistant to the Vice President for Student Engagement and Success, Dawn is known for her can-do attitude, strong work ethic, and genuine care for students, faculty, and colleagues. This is evident in the way Dawn builds community around her, as a trusted colleague, friend, and leader.

Brenda Bland Administrative Assistant 3 Mathematics

Across campus, Brenda is widely recognized as a dependable problem-solver with deep institutional knowledge and sound, common-sense judgment. For more than a decade, she has served as the administrative assistant for the Department of Mathematics, where she is a cornerstone of both the department and the broader college community. In 2024, she also stepped in to support the Department of Computer Science, maintaining exceptional service to both units. Often the first point of contact for students, she consistently provides welcoming, knowledgeable, and steady support, helping with registration, resolving concerns, and guiding students and faculty alike with professionalism and care. Her calm efficiency, reliability, and commitment to helping others have strengthened daily operations and enriched the student experience across departments. Dawn Danton Fiscal Specialist 1 Wildcat Shop Dawn began her twenty-five-year journey at the Wildcat Shop in the textbook department and later transitioned into her role as Fiscal Specialist. Over the years, she has been instrumental in keeping books on the shelves as well as ensuring our balance sheets are accurate, student charges coordinated, and accounting operations run smoothly. Her attention to detail, institutional knowledge and steady presence provide a strong foundation for our daily operations. Dawn’s dedication behind the scenes helps ensure the long-term success of the shop, and we are deeply grateful for her many years of outstanding service!

Stephanie Hubbard Customer Service Specialist 3 Office of the Registrar

Stephanie Hubbard, the Lead Transcript Evaluator for international transcripts, plays a critical role in ensuring accuracy and integrity in the evaluation of transcripts. She is a true team player who willingly steps in wherever needed and has consistently provided outstanding backup across nearly every unit within the Office of the Registrar. Craig Scrivner Systems Administrator Geological Sciences

Craig has dedicated twenty-five years to CWU and has provided unparalleled assistance and problem solving to both the Geology and Geography Departments. His deep knowledge of computer networking and systems administration combined with his ability to work creatively across university units has allowed multitudes of students and faculty to engage in exceptional research. Without assistance from Craig, CWU would have been unable to successfully compete for grants on the national stage and produce research on par with many R1 universities. We thank Craig for his tireless effort in supporting students and faculty and recognize how important he is to our department communities. Mark Watt Plumber Pipefitter Steamfitter Mechanical Shop

Mark Watt started his career twenty-five years ago with Facilities in the Mechanical Shop. Since 1999, he has increased his level of skill and knowledge of the university that defines what it means to be a committed employee to Central Washington University. Whether Mark is troubleshooting a complex piping system, managing high-pressure steam, or lending mechanical knowledge to a teammate, he has helped make this university a better place to work. We are incredibly grateful for the grit he brings to every shift and the high standard of craftsmanship he has maintained for over two decades. 30 Year Honorees David Germain IT System Administration -Journey Computer Support Services

Dave started his time at CWU as a student and received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in engineering technology. He started as a technician, then transitioned to supporting the whole university in his roles from Help Desk Technician to System Administrator in the IS/Computer Support Services departments. Throughout the years Dave has enjoyed developing friendships and professional relationships with faculty, staff, and students. When not at work he enjoys spending time with his wife, Terilee, and their family enjoying camping, hunting, fishing, e-biking, and astronomy. Currently, he’s refurbishing a 1966 copper Plymouth Barracuda. Look for it at an upcoming car show near you. Thanks, Dave, for your excellent service to CWU! Dale Hubbard Custodian 3 Custodial Services Dale Hubbard’s thirty years of service to Central Washington University reflects a deep commitment to campus community and care. Through his work in Facilities and Housing Custodial, particularly in Barto Hall, Dale went beyond maintaining spaces, he helped create a welcoming, supportive environment for students and colleagues alike. Lisa Stowe Fiscal Specialist 1 Chemistry

Since joining the Chemistry Department in 1999, Lisa has become the steady heartbeat of our community (CHEM-unity). Her early role in Barge Hall and then campus emergency dispatch served her well prior to a long-standing service within our department at the chemistry front desk. Lisa’s extraordinary drive and resilience have shaped a true 'culture of doing.' A CWU and COTS alum, cancer survivor, omnipresent mentor for all, and champion for students; she connects faculty, staff, alumni, and students with empathy, humor, and unwavering resolve. In short, Lisa is a force of nature who calms crises, builds community tradition, and inspires through dedicated service. Thank you for thirty years Lisa!
