We are proud to present The Cooper Foundation’s 2025 Annual Philanthropy Report—a reflection of the generosity, partnership, and progress that defined this year. 2025 Philanthropy Report
Making the extraordinary possible through the power of philanthropy.
2025
Driven by momentum and guided by generosity. In 2025, philanthropy accelerated progress across Cooper University Health Care and laid critical groundwork for the future of our health system.
With more than $10.5 million raised and pledged and support from nearly 3,000 donors, The Cooper Foundation strengthened clinical excellence, expanded access to care, and advanced strategic growth across Camden and Cape May County. More than 1,100 new supporters joined our mission, reflecting growing confidence in Cooper’s vision for the future. The year marked key organizational alignment, integrating Cape Regional philanthropy and continued growth in grateful patient engagement, corporate partnerships, and record-setting
events that deepened donor connections across the region. A defining milestone came with the groundbreaking of Phase I of Cooper’s Health Sciences Campus Expansion , including a new patient tower and clinical bridge connecting key areas of the campus. As construction begins, philanthropy will play a vital role in shaping what happens inside these new spaces—advancing programs, supporting research, and ensuring equitable access to world-class care.
A bipartisan group of current and former elected officials joined Cooper leadership to break ground on Project Imagine, a $3 billion transformation of the Camden Health Sciences Campus. Pictured are five New Jersey governors from two different parties — Tom Kean (1982–1990), Jim McGreevey (2002–2004), Jon Corzine (2006–2010), Chris Christie (2010–2018), and Governor Phil Murphy, who was serving as Governor at the time of the groundbreaking — alongside Cooper Chairman George Norcross III, Co-CEO Anthony Mazzarelli, Co-CEO Kevin O’Dowd, Camden Mayor Vic Carstarphen, television star and longtime Cooper supporter Kelly Ripa and her father, Joe Ripa, and other distinguished leaders.
We strengthen patient services, advance research, and invest in education across Cooper University Health Care. So care can reach further, innovation can move faster, and communities can thrive. The Cooper Foundation advances extraordinary care through philanthropy.

Dear Valued Supporters, Health care is evolving rapidly, and Cooper isn’t just keeping pace — we’re shaping what comes next. In 2025, we took decisive steps to strengthen our academic health system and prepare for long-term growth. As stewards of this institution, our responsibility is not only to meet today’s needs—but to ensure Cooper remains strong, innovative, and accessible for generations to come. Our Camden campus expansion represents that commitment. This transformational expansion will modernize our clinical environments, expand specialty services, and reinforce Cooper’s role as South Jersey’s leading academic health system. While construction will shape the skyline, philanthropy will shape what happens inside , advancing programs, supporting research, and investing in the people who deliver extraordinary care. Your generosity ensures that growth is guided by purpose. It strengthens our mission, deepens our impact, and secures Cooper’s future as a trusted anchor for our region. We are grateful for your partnership as we build the future of health care in our region.

From Our SVP & Chief Philanthropy Officer
Dear Friends, Philanthropy at Cooper continues to grow not only in scale, but in strength, sophistication, and alignment. In 2025, more than $10.5 million was raised and pledged to advance patient care, research, workforce development, and community health initiatives across our system. Nearly 3,000 donors invested in our mission, including more than 1,100 new supporters who chose to partner with Cooper for the first time. But growth is measured by more than dollars. This year, we strengthened the foundation that supports philanthropy itself—deepening collaboration with clinical leaders, expanding grateful patient engagement, and enhancing corporate partnerships. We also invested in advanced technology, including AI-driven tools, to deliver more personalized communication, clearer reporting, and a seamless giving experience.
As Cooper enters a transformational period of expansion, philanthropic partnership will be increasingly essential— not only to support capital priorities, but to advance the programs, people, and innovation that bring those spaces to life. Our commitment is clear: every gift entrusted to us will be stewarded with integrity, purpose, and measurable impact. Thank you for your continued confidence in Cooper and in the power of philanthropy to shape what comes next. With gratitude,

In 2025, Cooper reached a defining milestone with the groundbreaking of Phase I of the Health Sciences Campus Expansion, including the Next Generation Patient Tower and a clinical bridge connecting key areas of campus. Care in Action
Supporting Women & Children
CREATING CALM, SUPPORTIVE SPACES FOR YOUNG CHILDREN Thanks to the Roots & Wings Foundation, five pediatrics offices were enhanced with developmentally supportive engagement tools and essential supplies—benefiting tens of thousands of families annually. These investments promote early brain development, reduce anxiety during care, and help address basic needs for families of children prenatal through age 3. More enhancements to support infants and families are planned for 2026. ESSENTIAL NICU DISCHARGE SUPPORT Funding for premature infant car beds, compounded medications, and critical prescriptions helps families transition home safely—reducing length of stay and financial hardship.
WOMEN’S IMAGING INVESTMENT Expanded access to advanced breast imaging and specialized diagnostic care—supporting earlier detection and saving lives. GYNECOLOGIC ONCOLOGY RESEARCH Focused on accelerating basic science research, improving outcomes for women facing complex cancers. PULMONARY FUNCTION TESTING EQUIPMENT New pediatric PFT equipment, enhancing diagnosis and management of complex respiratory conditions for children.
Supporting Children with Diabetes
Donor support helps provide age- appropriate books, interactive resources, and even a Barbie with Type 1 Diabetes — turning fear into understanding and empowering young patients to thrive. This initiative is led by the Pediatric Diabetes/ Endocrinology team.
