WELCOME! Since spring 2019, the Anderson Classroom to Career (C2C) Center has made possible for the Sentry School of Business and Economics to have its internship presentations in an expo format, where students who had internships talk to other students and faculty about their experiences, in a very engaging and interactive atmosphere.

Students who visit the expo also have the chance to network with employers in the area and hopefully establish connections for future internships or even full-time job opportunities. We have had students getting internship offers on the spot in the last two expos! We are excited to see everyone at our in-person event on Tuesday, May 2. Students will have the chance to connect with interns and employers, learn about specific internships that were done this fall, and receive Pro Events credit. Here is a preview about our spring 2023 students and their internships. I hope you enjoy the Sentry School of Business and Economics Internship Expo!

JUSTIN ZEHRUNG ’23

MAJORS Business Administration Management

HOMETOWN Pittsville, Wis. ORGANIZATION Patriot Greenz and Treats Pittsville, Wis. TITLE Laborer and Marketing Assistant

What I did: During my time at Patriot Greenz, I learned a great deal about the infrastructure involved in manifesting and growing a business, one of the things that I learned and what I did was the laborer aspect. In this field I had to help build and maintain equipment, plant seeds in beds and after some time harvesting as well as maintaining the wastewater system and changing filters when needed. However, I did have one other job and this one is when I particularly was fond, and that is the marketing aspect. I was a marketing assistant for the company, which allowed me the ability to learn a little bit more in depth knowledge about what goes into bringing recognition and customers to a company. It was a bit challenging at first, I wasn’t quite sure how to do some things but after some time and a little bit of struggle started to help them build their social media presents as well as working on a website for the company so they can do online sales. What I liked: I would have to say the main thing that I liked the most was the actual hands-on learning as well as being able to put my school knowledge to the test. In addition to having the ability to see what goes into making a good marketer, because the marketing aspect was one of the main things that I liked. Future Dream Job: When it comes to a dream job I would have to say working for myself, creating my own business and building something from the ground up would be my dream job. I know it wouldn’t be something for everybody, however the ability to create something and having the chance to not just work a job, but work something that’s going to increase my overall net worth it’s quite exciting and I would have to say that would be my dream job.
