The Member of Parliament (MP) for Prescott—Russell—Cumberland has made it plain now that she will not sup- port any blanket expropriation of land for a proposed high-speed rail project . “I wish to be clear that I do not support widespread expropriation in Prescott-Russell- Cumblerland,” stated MP Giovanna Minga- relli, in a news release issued to regional media April 24. “It is my expectation that ALTO will undertake the necessary due diligence and engage in careful conversa- tion with landowners in order to secure the support of the majority of our community as the ALTO high-speed rail project continues.” Mingarelli’s office issued the press release to noted that ALTO finished the first phase of its public consultation process about the high-speed rail link it proposes to building connecting Toronto and Québec City, with five other designated stops that include Ottawa and Montréal. Les habitants de Hawkesbury pourront découvrir le projet de plan directeur concernant les parcs communautaires et les espaces verts de la ville. La municipalité dévoilera le projet de plan directeur des parcs et loisirs le 5 mai au complexe sportif Robert Hartley. Les habi- tants sont invités à participer à cette journée portes ouvertes pour prendre connaissance des détails du projet de plan et faire part de leurs commentaires. « Cette réunion offre aux citoyens l’occa- sion d’examiner les recommandations et de donner leur avis avant que le document ne soit finalisé », a déclaré Ken St-Denis, responsable municipal des loisirs et du tourisme. Les commentaires et les critiques seront pris en compte pour réviser le projet de plan directeur avant qu’il ne soit présenté au conseil municipal le 11 mai pour examen. Sous réserve de toute révision supplémen- taire, la version finale du plan directeur des parcs et loisirs sera approuvée lors de la séance du conseil municipal du 22 juin. Elle était la tendre épouse de feu Henri Portelance; la fille de feu Albert Lamarche et de feu Rose-Alba Raymond; la chère mère de Louis (Cheryl), Roch (Roxanne), Claude (Diane) et Yves (Michelle); la grand-mère adorée de Éric (Jessica), Patrick, Nicholas (Bianca), Carl, Claudia et Charles-Olivier (Karianne); l’arrière- grand-mère de Findlay, Elliott, Renn, Mael et Lou. Lui survivent également six frères et sœurs : Odette, Pauline, Ghislaine, Denyse, Michel et Alain. Elle fut prédécédée par huit frères et sœurs : Jacques, Jean-Guy, Maurice, Roger, Nicole, Joanne, Jocelyn et Sylvie. De plus, elle sera regrettée par plusieurs beaux-frères, belles-sœurs, neveux, nièces et ami(e)s. La famille tient à remercier le personnel de l’Hôpital général de Hawkesbury ainsi que le personnel du Manoir McGill, pour les excellents soins. La direction des funérailles a été confiée au SALON FUNÉRAIRE FAMILIAL BERTHIAUME, 416, rue McGill, Hawkesbury (Ontario) 877-632-8511.
