Rappelons que le 14 septembre dernier, le jeune homme avait été arrêté après qu’il ait tenté d’étrangler, la nuit précédente, une adolescente qui était montée à bord de la voiture qu’il conduisait. Il était un peu plus d’uneheuredumatinetlascènesedéroulait sur le chemin Front à Hawkesbury-Est où la voiture s’était immobilisée. Selon les détails rapportés alors par le détachement de la Police provinciale de l’Ontario, les deux passagers étaient sortis de la voiture et c’est alors que la jeune fille avait été agressée. S’étant débattue sans succès, la victime avait finalement réussi à convaincresonassaillantdemettreunterme à son projet. Il l’avait reconduit à Hawkesbury.

Finalement, Patrick Gorry, également accusé, comparaîtra devant la Cour le 28 mars prochain.
L’accusation pesant sur Stéphane Hotte en relation avec le vol à la Banque alimentaire centrale de Hawkesbury a été retirée. L’homme de 40 ans, résidant sur la rue Principale à Hawkesbury, a comparu à la Cour de justice de l’Ontario, le 15 mars dernier. Les nouveaux locaux de Hawkesbury Mazda sont très impressionnants. Le nouveau garage brillait devant un soleil resplendissant pendant l’ouverture officielle mardi soir. Mais la clé du succès futur du concessionnaire n’est pas liée aux installations, a accentué le président de Mazda Canada, Don Romano. « La clé du succès n’est pas le bâtiment. C’est la satisfaction du client », a dit M. Romano, qui était parmi une douzaine de cadres supérieurs de la compagnie qui ont assisté à l’inauguration. « Hawkesbury Mazda est numéro 1 au Canada quand il s’agit de la satisfaction du client », a ajouté M. Romano. « Sans nos clients, Hawkesbury Mazda n’existerait pas », a dit le président et co- propriétaire de la concession, Christian Joanisse. Le nouvel emplacement représente un investissement d’à peu près 3,5 millions $. La construction de la nouvelle bâtisse de 15 000 pieds carrés, comprenant les nouvelles salles de montre, les bureaux administratifs et le département mécanique, a commencé le printemps dernier. Le nouveau bâtiment remplace l’ancien garage de 10 000 pieds carrés qui date de 1986. Depuis que le concessionnaire local a ouvert en 1989, Hawkesbury Mazda est un des meilleurs au Canada, a relaté M. Romano. Hawkesbury Mazda a 12,5 pour cent du marché de Hawkesbury. « Les gens viennent d’Ottawa pour acheter des voitures ici, » a dit M. Romano. La concessionnaire a aussi des clients deHudson,St-Lazare,Montebello,Rigaud et Lachute. A peu près 200 personnes ont assisté à l’inauguration, selonMarie Pier Duchesne qui a planifié et coordonné l’événement.

Les lois, les amendements, les comptes à payer, la bonne marche de notre municipalité sont choses du passé. À la suite de l’incident odieux et de la disparition des conseillers grévistes de la salle du conseil, les citoyens d’un commun accord ont décidé de contacter le ministère des Affaires municipales afin de déposer une plainte officielle, de demander à la Commission Municipale de placer notre municipalité en tutelle, de décréter la dissolution du conseil municipal de Grenville-sur-la-Rouge. Cela veut dire que notre municipalité pourrait devoir aller en élection générale. Si tel est le cas, les citoyens auront le choix d’élire un conseil compétent, voulant travailler ensemble pour le bien être de notre communauté. Imaginez-vous nos conseillers actuels sans salaire ! Shopper” scam that has victimized
people across the country.
Since late February, members of the
