Les Hawks rendaient visite aux Bears à Smiths Falls deux jours plus tard pour disputer leur dernier match de la saison régulière. Les Hawks ont entamé la ren- contre du bon pied, inscrivant trois buts sans riposte durant les dix premières minutes de jeu pour prendre une avance confortable avant de rentrer au vestiaire. Cependant, les Bears ont finalement débloqué au milieu du deuxième vingt pour réduire l’écart à deux buts, pour ensuite ajouter trois autres buts en troisième période contre seulement un pour Hawkesbury et forcer la tenue d’une période de prolongation. C’est finalement Rylee Hlusiak qui a scellé l’issue du match en marquant le but vainqueur en prolongation, son 29 e de la saison, sur une passe de Thomas Cusson. William Gendron a inscrit deux buts pour les Hawks durant la rencontre, Curtiss Sturgeon et Jérémy Quesnel ont obtenu un but chacun, et Tyler Samodral, Félix Sauvé, Reid Oliver, Kerfalla Toure et Antoine Dorion ont obtenu des mentions d’aide. Les Hawks de Hawkesbury se sont incli- nés devant les Wolves de Renfrew (4-0) avant de battre les Bears de Smiths Falls en prolongation (5-4) pour terminer la saison 2021-2022 au deuxième rang du classement général de la CCHL. Les Hawks accueillaient les Wolves de Renfrew au Complexe sportif Robert Hartley vendredi lors de leur dernier match à domicile de la saison 2021-2022. Mal- heureusement pour les Hawks, ils ont été incapables de battre le gardien des Wolves, Will Craig, qui a repoussé les 27 tirs de l’équipe locale pour récolter son troisième jeu blanc de la saison et mener les siens vers la victoire. Après une première période sans but, les Wolves ont pris les devants tôt en deuxième période pour ensuite rajouter trois buts durant le troisième engagement. Les Hawks ont pourtant dirigé autant de tirs contre le gardien adverse que les visiteurs, mais ils ont été incapables de saisir leurs occasions de marquer.

At the Prescott & Russell Residence, on Sunday, April 3, 2022, Dr. Leo Charles Morris, formerly of Apple Hill, passed away at the age of 91 years. Beloved husband to Barbara Jean Morris (née Erm). He is survived by two sisters: Claire and Cecilia and by many nieces, nephews and extended family. Monsieur René Larocque, est décédé le dimanche 20 février 2022, à l’âge de 69 ans. Il était le tendre époux de Suzanne Pilon; le fils de feu Isidore Larocque et de feu Alice Guérin; le père bien-aimé de Mélanie et Ghislain (Nancy); le grand-père adoré de Ashley, Samika, Anthony, Magalie et Rosalie. Il fut prédécédé par sa sœur Claire (Jean-Pierre) et ses frères : Albert (Denise) et Guy (Marie). Il laisse aussi dans le deuil plusieurs frères et sœurs : Suzanne, Jeanine, Serge (Denise), Mario (Joanne), Raymond (Lisette) et Gilles (Germaine) ainsi que plusieurs neveux, nièces et ami(e)s. A special collection of scrap, old furniture and anything not considered as household waste will take place according to the following schedule: Garbage must be placed near the sidewalk or curb, and not on the street, during the weekend preceding the date of collection, no later than 6:30 am on Monday morning. Pickup will be done ONLY ONCE per street but can be done ANY DAY of the week as indicated below. In addition, for logistical purposes, the contractor will collect the waste by type. This means that it will collect all the accepted waste in several stops at your home. Don’t be surprised if a certain type of waste was collected, but not another. At the end of your special collection week, all garbage will be picked up. Mayer Sanitation Ltd., 194 County Road 17, Hawkesbury from Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please note that your contact information will be requested at the time of the deposit for validation with the Ontario Ministry of Environment. All electronic and electrical equipment waste can be delivered from Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 1301 Spence Avenue. For information, you can contact Robert Lessard, director of Recycle Action at 613 632-8508. Please note that the wood material waste from old sheds, construction remains, etc., and branches of tree pruning are not considered as rubbish and will be picked up at your expense. Branches of hedge trimmings will only be picked up if they are tied in bundles not exceeding 6’ long by 2’ in diameter. Also, please note that old cars are not considered as rubbish. Refrigerator coolant (Freon) must be removed and the appliance must be tagged by a licensed contractor before pickup. We urge the owners and tenants to proceed with a clean-up of their property. The rubbish with electronic and electrical equipment must be deposited separately close to the sidewalk or the curb, but not on the street, during the weekend preceding the date of collection, not later than 6:30 a.m. on Monday morning. There will be a fine of $360.00 for residents who do not respect the mentioned deadlines. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE COLLECTION will be on Saturday, October 1, 2022, from 8:30 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the Hawkesbury Sewage Plant, 815 Main Street East, Hawkesbury. If you require additional information concerning the spring clean-up campaign, do not hesitate to contact the following: MAYER SANITATION 613-632-2581 If the format of this document is inadequate, please contact the Clerk’s office at 613 632-0106 and the municipality will provide, to the best of its abilities, the required assistance.
