Le 7 e tournoi annuel de golf Marion Open a eu lieu au Cloverdale Golf Club de Winchester, le 12 aout dernier. Organisé par François Marion, président du comité des citoyens de Marionville, et son cousin André (Joe) Bélisle, l’évènement a réuni les anciens et les nouveaux joueurs. Trente-deux joueurs ont pris part au tournoi. Le plus jeune joueur avait 18 ans, tandis que le plus vieux était âgé de 81 ans. L’évènement a voulu rendre hommage à l’ancien maire de Russell, Jean-Paul St.Pierre, qui aimait venir jouer au Marion Open.
