Des armes à feu, des munitions, un tracteur, trois véhicules tout terrain, deux voiturettes de golf modifiées, des génératrices et des systèmes d’alarme et de surveillance servant à la protec- tion des lieux, ont aussi été confisqués. L’enquête se poursuit et des accusa- tions pourraient être portées en vertu de la loi sur les armes à feu.
Le 1 er septembre dernier, une cin- quantaine de policiers ont participé à l’opération au cours de laquelle, 4 500 plants ont été saisis. Plusieurs unités de supports de la SQ et des spécialistes assistaient les agents du poste de la MRC d’Argenteuil. Armés de 25 mandats de perquisi- tion, les policiers ont d’abord procédé à l’arrestation de cinq hommes, âgés de 40 à 67 ans. Tous feront face à des accusations de production de canna- bis et possession dans le but d’en faire Caroline Séguin, jeune chanteuse âgéede24ansdeGrenville-sur-la-Rouge, tente actuellement sa chance pour la prochaine édition de Star Académie. Le Club 100% Actifs investit la rue Stanley

La rue Stanley était fermée à la circulation samedi dernier à Hawkesbury, et cepour leplaisir des amateursde courses de boîtes à savon. Le Club 100% Actifs qui organisait l’événement, se réjouit de cette première édition qui a eu l’heur de plaire aux jeunes comme aux moins jeunes. Nombreux sont les parents et grands- parents qui ont prêté main forte pour la construction des véhicules et qui ont aidé au déroulement de cette journée. « C’était la première et certainement pas la dernière assure la coordonatrice de l’organisme, Dominique Plouffe. Avec une quinzaine de participants, on a dépassé nos objectifs et l’on s’attend à ce que cela grandisse au fur et à mesure que cela sera connu », dit-elle. Les participants répartis en trois classes d’âge, s’en sont donnés à cœur joie, s’élançant de la rampe installée pour l’occasion. Le Club a pu s’appuyer sur les connaissances de MM. Wilson et Ranger, déjà bien connus dans le milieu pour leur engagement à la course de Ste-Anne-de- Prescott, course qui aura d’ailleurs lieu ce dimanche, 11 septembre. Comme c’est souvent le cas pour les activités du Club 100% Actifs, plusieurs bénévoles ont permis le succès de cette journée, qui de plus, a bénéficié du beau temps. Des agents du détachement de Hawkesbury de la Police provinciale de l’Ontario assurait la sécurité; la Ville de Hawkesbury a elle aussi collaboré en acceptant la fermeture temporaire de la rue, et plusieurs entreprises ont contribué dont la Ferme Kingsbury, Création P.V.L. Inc, DesignWorkshop, Délice de Caro et Dérick

Les organismes, communautés ou entreprises intéressés doivent réserver dès maintenant. Pour leur part, les comédiens, Larraine Lortie (dans le rôle de Mimi), Claude Langlois (dans le rôle de Guy), Isabelle Séguin dans le rôle de Rachel et Martin Vigeant (dans le rôle de l’inspecteur McDuff), répètent avec coeur. Et ils ont fort à faire car le rythme du jeu est intense. Pour Mme Potvin Laliberté, c’est aussi un grand défi. « Le premier défi c’est le temps, car on a juste onze semaines de préparation. Mais j’ai bien confiance, car les comédiens ont de l’expérience et sont tous bons. Je n’aurai pas beaucoup de travail de ce côté-là. Le rythme c’est autre chose, ça n’arrête pas et c’est exigeant pour tout le monde. Quant à moi, c’est d’arriver à balancer les deux formes de théâtre, le suspense et la comédie. » Mélissa Gagon-Quann, est assistante à la mise en scène pour cette production ; elles sont donc deux, ce qui est fort apprécié dans le cas présent. « Pour Mélissa cela va être sa première expérience. C’est à St-Albert que débutera cette tournée, le mercredi 14 septembre dès 17 heures, sous la présidence d’honneur du directeurgénéral de laFromagerieSt-Albert, Réjean Ouimet. Seront également présents, les membres du groupe ESTARIO district 45, dont le fonds de dotation est hébergé à la Fondation franco-ontarienne. « Nous en profiterons pour faire le lancement de deux nouveaux fonds de dotation à la Fondation franco-ontarienne, soit le Fonds de bourse l’Hôpital Général de Hawkesbury & District General Hospital et le Fonds Le Phénix – au-delà du handicap. C’est donc un rendez-vous », invite M. Gingras. Les gens sont conviés au centre communautaire de St-Albert situé au 201, rue Principale, dès 17 heures. Le coût du billet est de 75 $, incluant l’émission d’un reçu d’impôts de 60 $. Dès novembre, le Cercle Gascon II offrira cette pièce de l’auteur Pierre-Yves Lemieux, qui à l’instar du roman les dix petits nègres d’Agatha Christie, tiendra le public en haleine du début à la fin. « C’est un mélange de suspense et de comédie, explique Mme Potvin Laliberté qui signe aussi la mise en scène. L’exploit peu commun a été réalisé sur le cinquième trou, un par 3. Patrick faisait partie d’un groupe qui comprenait Michel, Marc et Paulette Laflamme. En 2010, l’affluence avait été évaluée à environ 3 000 visiteurs durant les deux jours du Salon. La variété d’espèces et de races présentées étaient par ailleurs très élaborée et très appréciée. la petite municipalité de Papineauville.
