Dans le cas du coronavirus, le personnel de l’hôpital doit maintenant s’assurer qu’un patient qui a voyagé en Chine dernièrement soit mis en isolation à l’HGH. L’hôpital dispose de quatre à cinq chambres d’isolation à pres- sion négative, qui empêchent les microbes de s’échapper de la chambre où les patients sont traités, avec très peu de risques pour le personnel et les autres patients en dehors de cette zone. «Depuis que le gouvernement a annoncé les nouvelles mesures, on a rehaussé les mesures que nous avions en place pour tout type de virus», a expliqué Mme Larocque. De nouvelles banderoles ont été ajoutées à l’entrée de l’HGH, rappelant aux patients les mesures de protection contre la transmission desmicrobes, notamment le lavage desmains, le port d’un masque spécial en cas de toux et
l’avertissement du personnel de l’hôpital lors du triage à l’urgence, s’ils ont visité la Chine récemment. Enfin, les autorités conseillent à tout visiteur qui serait indisposé de remettre sa visite à plus tard et de rester à la maison si son état ne requiert pas des soins immédiats, afin de limiter le contact avec les microbes des patients et du personnel de l’hôpital, en pleine saison de grippe.

Local mayors wonder how loud a voice Prescott-Russell will have on local health issues when the provincial government is finished with its reconstruction of Ontario’s health care service setup. “I’m concerned that it’s going to be darn hard to hear Prescott-Russell’s voice in 5PSPOUP uTBJE.BZPS3PCFSU,JSCZPG&BTU Hawkesbury Township. “If we’re changing the system, let’s change it so we can be heard.” Kirby and several other mayors expressed their worry during the January 29 session of the United Counties of Prescott and Rus- sell council (UCPR). The pandemic plan includes measures that ensure the hospital is able to provide patient care and operate as required. Staff is well trained to don the appropriate protec- tive equipment like special masks, gloves and gowns. In the unlikely event there is a pandemic response required, both the staff and other patients are protected against any virus they might come into contact with, and the hospital may deliver the best possible care. The hospital has acquired certain tech- nologies and equipment needed in such situations. For instance, the hospital has multiple negative pressure rooms that ensure no germs can escape the room where patients are being treated, with very little risk to staff and other patients outside that area.

Falling in love may seem like a mystery of the heart, but in fact, an array of che- micals and hormones are at play. Accor- ding to scientists, there are three catego- ries of romantic love: lust, attraction and attachment. Each of these categories is governed by its own cocktail of hor- mones and chemicals. LUST Testosterone and estrogen fuel lust, or the desire for sexual gratification. While it’s typically considered a male hor- mone, testosterone increases libido for just about everyone. This effect is less prominent with estrogen, but many wo- men report being more aroused around the time they ovulate, when the hor- mone’s levels are highest. ATTRACTION High levels of dopamine and nore- pinephrine are at play in the initial stages of a romantic relationship. Dopamine is released when we do something that makes us feel good, in this case, spen- ding time with someone. Nore- pinephrine, which also plays a part in the fight or flight response, makes us feel more alert and nervous.

TEMPORARY LOWERING OF THE LEVEL OF RIVIÈRE ROUGE, NORTH OF THE CHUTEBELL STRUCTURES
Hydro-Québec is currently carrying out major work at Grenville-sur-la-Rouge to improve the discharge capacity of the Chute-Bell generating station and weir (commonly called Chute-Bell dam). This work must be completed before the spring flood. During the week of February 24, 2020, Hydro-Québec will remove the inflatable rubber gates on the crest of the weir. To do this, the level of the Rivière Rouge will have to be lowered temporarily. The water level will be reduced by about 2 metres from February 22 to March 1, 2020. During this period, it will be dangerous to venture out on the river, since the ice cover will be weakened and unstable in places. To avoid accidents during the lowering of the water level, Hydro-Québec requests that the public refrain from traveling on the Rivière Rouge between the Chute-Bell structures, in Grenville-sur-la-Rouge, and Chemin de la Rivière Maskinongé (pont Rivington), in Harrington. Hydro-Québec réalise présentement des travaux importants à Grenville-sur-la-Rouge pour améliorer la capacité de déversement de l’aménagement de la Chute-Bell. Ces travaux doivent être terminés avant la prochaine crue printanière. Dans la semaine du 24 février 2020, Hydro-Québec enlèvera la vanne gonflable du déversoir. Pour ce faire, elle devra abaisser le niveau de la rivière Rouge en amont de la centrale et du déversoir d’environ 2 m pour la période du 22 février au 1 er mars 2020. Durant cette période, la circulation sur la rivière sera dangereuse, car la couverture de glace sera fragilisée et instable par endroits. Afin d’éviter tout incident pendant que le niveau de la rivière est abaissé, Hydro-Québec demande à la population de ne pas circuler sur la rivière Rouge entre les ouvrages de la Chute-Bell, à Grenville-sur-la-Rouge, et le chemin de la Rivière-Maskinongé (pont Rivington), à Harrington.
