Doug Huizenga is partner of NewCNC.com. He has spent most of his career in manufacturing, machinery sales, and procurement. Positions include Vice President of Manufacturing for Laminations Inc. of Holland, MI, Owner of Machinery Masters Corporation in Charlotte, NC, General Manager of Ex-Factory in Zeeland, MI, and owner of Panel Profiles in Zeeland, MI. Tom Galzin is partner of NewCNC.com. He began working in the CNC router industry as an application engineer in the early 1980’s. He then began his own company in 1985, working with some of the largest wood working companies in the USA to provide high production CNC machines. In the early 2000’s there was a changing landscape in CNC machines that allowed mass customization for small shops. This was the idea that sparked the formation of NewCNC in 2008. The TALENT T5SK is the foundation of the NewCNC high-performance line of nesting machines. It is a three axis, panel-processing machine tool capable of cutting a wide range of materials including wood products, plastics, and non-ferrous metals. The Talent T5 is used extensively in cabinetmaking, closet manufacturing, sign- making, and plastics fabrication. This CNC Router utilizes industry leading components, such as 1.5 KW servo motors, a 16-horsepower spindle, and Delta CNC controls. Rapid speeds of 100 meters/min. (3,937 inches per minute), standard 12 position linear rack tool changer, 16 horsepower spindle, panel sweep, automatic panel alignment, and pre-configured for auto load and unload are all standard. These are not expensive upgrades as offered by other manufacturers.

All NewCNC Routers are pre-configured with automatic load and unload devices, automatic panel alignment, table sweep and optional label printing. A single operator can keep the machine in continuous production. The result is significant labor reduction and an increase of about 40% in output. A Auto Load The autoload system places the panels on the machines vacuum table, automatically squares them to the alignment devices, activates the vacuum pumps, and begins the machining process. No more manual loading of heavy sheets. A single operator can run the machine saving labor and significant time.

Unload The automatic unload conveyor transfers finished parts off the machine bed to a waiting conveyor. The machine bed is vacuumed clean at the same time. The operator can then use the optional label printing station to label and stack the parts. The auto loader is simultaneously placing the next sheet for processing. The NewCNC Fuse 6 is a heavy-duty Edgebander designed for a continuous duty cycle. This is not a low-end entry-level machine but does have a very attractive price. The first station applies glue to the edge of the panel and moves into a 4-roller pressure section. Station 2 is a double motor end trim. Double motors allow much faster feed speeds and is more desirable than a single motor end trim machine. Station 3 is a top and bottom rough trim station. Station 4 is top and bottom radius fine trim, station 5 is top and bottom radius scraping, and station 6 is top and bottom buffing. Machines can also be configured front and rear mist stations. The result is a finished edge right off the machine with no need for additional processing. Like the rest of the NewCNC line of Edgebanders, the Fuse 6 uses straight forward mechanical design making adjustment simple. Use with PVC, ABS, acrylic, melamine, or wood veneer. Processing speeds up to 70 feet per minute are achievable. Other machines comparable in price typically run maximum speeds of 21 feet per minute.

Typical uses would be custom residential & commercial cabinets, closets, and work surfaces. To begin, an anti-stick spray is applied to the top and bottom surface, then Station 1 is a double motor pre-mill section. Pre-mill guarantees a cleanly cut and square edge, even if the panel did not start that way. Next an IR lamp heats the edge for the very best glue penetration and adhesion. Station 2 is stepper motor adjusted and applies glue to the edge of the panel and then moves to the 4-roller pressure section. Station 3 is a double motor end trim. Double motors allow faster feed speeds and allows parts to be ran much closer together equaling greater output. Station 4 is stepper motor adjusted top and bottom flat and/or radius fine trim. Cabinet Sides Machine is well suited for the production of residential and commercial cabinetry. Barcode Scanner The machine control includes a barcode scanner to quickly load programs into the control. Electrical Cabinet The electrical cabinet is easy to access, housing the servo amplifiers and all other electircal components. Electrical components are from Delta, Omron, and Schneider. Digital Control Panel The rip fence is positioned through a programable touch screen control. Simply enter the dimension and hit start, the fence will posiiton automatically. Cross- cut fencce includes a digital read out. Miter Fences Sliding table and cross-cut fence both accomodate adjustable miter fence for cutting angles up to 60 degrees. Adjustable rip fence can be rotated to accomodate panels with overhanging laminate. Integrated safety handle for ripping narrow parts. The Front Load Beam Saw is the foundation of the NewCNC high- performance line of panel processing machines. It is a heavy- duty panel-processing machine tool capable of cutting a wide range of materials including wood products, plastics, and non- ferrous metals. The Front Load Beam Saw is used extensively in cabinetmaking, closet manufacturing, sign-making, and plastics fabrication. This Front Load Beam Saw utilizes industry leading servo motors, a 20 horsepower main saw, a 3hp scoring blade, and PC CNC controls. Air Floation Tables Machine has three pneumatic floation tables mounted at the operator’s side of the machine. The operator can easily move several hundred pounds of material. Air tables are adjustable right and left depending on materials to be processed. Panel Clamps Single panels or multiple sheets up to 120 MM in thickness can be processed simultaneously. Sheets are moved through the machine via servo motor, rack and pinion, and double finger panel grippers with nylon coating to prevent scratching. A B

The heavy steel pressure beam, table top , and base frames of the machine are constructed as single structure weldments from plate steel, up to 1” in thickness. Machine control features an easy to understand graphical user interface. Programming can be done at the machine or remotely in the office using popular optimization softwares. The saw carriage is positioned by servo motors, allowing for the most accurate cuts. It has a main saw with 20 HP, scoring saw with 2 HP, and integrated dust collection ports.

Blades & Dust Collection The main saw blade is 450 MM in diameter, and the scoring saw blade is 200 MM in diamter. Adjustments to the scoring blade for raise/lower and side motion are easily accomplished. The dust collection ports are 6 inches in diameter x2, with flow rate of 4,000 feet per minute required. Positioning Speed The main saw blade travels at 90 meters per minute with saw retract at 120 meters per minute. The panel pusher travels at 85 meters per minute or 278 feet per minute.
