When I visited Nescot and saw the college I was really excited, and wanted to start straight away. We do lots of different classes, including personal development, English and Maths. My favourite is when we do cooking, especially when we make cake or do the café at college. I’m hoping to study Sport at Nescot in the future. Chinedu ( FE Pathway, Entry 3 )
When you study this course you get to do a bit of everything, and that can help you to decide what you want to be in the future. HEAR FROM OUR STUDENTS
I wanted to come to Nescot to meet people and make new friends.
At the moment I’m doing horticulture, which is mostly planting and weeding. The best thing we’ve planted so far is daffodils. We also do maths and English, where we learn different skills. The teachers are all really kind and helpful. In the future I want to be a waiter, so that I can take people’s orders and help them.

HEAR FROM OUR STUDENTS
I like being at college. I love art the most, doing cutting and sticking and making patterns. In gardening we have planted tomatoes and onions. I liked planting them, and if they grow I hope we’re allowed to eat them.
Katie ( Foundation, Entry Level 1 )
I really like being at Nescot. Everyone is really nice, and it’s a really welcoming place. I’ve made lots of new friends already.
The best thing about my course so far is that it’s varied. We’ve been doing things like maths, but you also get to try out different
subjects to see if you like them. In the future I want to do Animal Studies.
We’re about to do our first café, which is where we sell cakes and biscuits to other people at the college. Today we’re doing it to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, which I feel proud of. I’m a bit nervous about the café, but the teachers are here
as well if we need them.
Elissia ( FE pathway )

“I’ve made a lot of new friends at Nescot. The teachers are very good, and they’re always helping everyone with their choices and helping people to follow instructions.
We do a lot of different lessons, like art, cooking, construction and personal development. I liked making Victoria sponge and chocolate cake, because I got to do the measuring and the mixing. My favourite lesson is maths, because I’m very good at maths.” Tunmise ( FE Pathway, Entry 2 )
There’s a lot of variety on the course. At the moment we’re doing construction, and we’ve been making a bird house. We cut the wood and sanded it and then put it all together, using different tools. I’ve already done Business and IT, and next we’re doing Animal Care, which I’m really looking forward to. I’m hoping to go into the mainstream college next year.”
Nameera ( FE Pathway, Entry 3 )
