BAIL VIOLATION Sherry Hummel, 35, of Champlain Township, was arrested November 15 in North Glengarry Township on charges related to violation of her bail condi- tions. She is now charged with failure to comply with a legal recognizance order and with failure to comply with a probation order. SDG OPP took her into custody pending her appearance on the charges, in provincial court in Cornwall.

Plusieurs arrestations liées à la drogue ont eu lieu dans la Ville de Hawkesbury au cours des dernières semaines. Quatre personnes de Hawkesbury ont été arrêtées et accusées. Gaston Racine, 53 ans, et Jeaninne La- belle, 58 ans, tous les deux de Hawkesbury, ont été arrêtés et accusés de possession d’une substance inscrite à l’annexe I, à des fins de trafic de drogue, le 19 octobre 2018. Ils ont également été accusés de posses- sion de produits de la criminalité de moins de 5000 $ et de possession de cannabis dans le but de la vente. Au moment de la perquisition, la police a aussi saisi de la résine de cannabis, de la méthamphétamine, de la monnaie canadienne et un attirail associé au trafic de drogue. La valeur combinée des biens saisis est estimée à plus de 13 100 $. Les deux accusés ont été libérés et ont comparu devant la Cour de justice de l’Onta- rio située à L’Orignal le 21 novembre 2018. The mid-November snowfall now has the public works director for the counties keeping watch on what remains of his snow removal budget for the year.
