WELCOME

Leading payroll and pension professionals through education, membership and recognition

The payroll, pension and reward industries are constantly changing and since beginning my career in payroll, the profession has been re-vamped by technology and legislation updates. One thing that has, and always will, remain a constant through all of this is the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP). The CIPP has been providing support, advice and education in payroll and pensions since 1980, and although the content and delivery methods have changed, the Chartered Institutes’ commitment to raising the profile of payroll has remained consistent. The CIPP sits on more government consultation forums than any other payroll organisation in the UK, representing our members on over 300 * pieces of legislation. Doing this allows us to identify areas where the payroll profession needs assistance, and this shows in our new courses, such as the National Minimum Wage and other worker entitlements, CEO pay ratios reporting and gender pay gap and HR reporting. Through CIPP membership, you can take advantage of extra members of your payroll team by utilising the Advisory Service helpline, on hand to answer any technical questions that you may have as they arise. Members also benefit from a 50% discount on our payroll update and revision: calculating a payslip training courses, giving you access to must attend courses at a great price. The CIPP have been focusing on the quality of it’s products, education services and content. We have had the great pleasure of introducing Chartered as the height of CIPP membership. The take up for this has been great and gives professionals, like yourself, the opportunity to become truly recognised in your profession.

Ken Pullar FCIPP Chief executive officer

WHAT’SNEW? E-learning is an area the CIPP has been focusing on and we are now delivering more of our training courses online, or through blended learning, allowing you to study and learn at a time and pace that suits you. Chartered membership , gives payroll professionals the chance to become recognised as the highest level in the profession. Our Compact Payroll Reference Book is your invaluble guide to all things payroll and is now a membership benefit to be sent out to all associate members and above.

This year we have refreshed our MSc in Strategic Leadership , which is the highest level payroll qualification in the UK and applies your existing payroll knowledge into organisational strategy. See page 19.

Please note that the CIPP continually updates its products and services to ensure that they meet the needs of the industry; therefore content is subject to change without prior notification. Please visit cipp.org.uk for the most up to date information.
