cipp.org.uk

Welcome I’m delighted to join the CIPP as CEO at such an important time for the industry and the Institute, as we look to continue our unwavering support for our members, the wider payroll and pensions industries, and continue developing our products and services in line with an ever-changing landscape. From early 2022, we moved from full, online delivery, to a hybrid training model, to ensure we deliver training to best suit your preferred ways of learning, and this has proved extremely popular. We’re also

constantly developing new courses, to ensure we keep industry and members up to date. You’ll see the first of a new suite of eLearning modules in this issue of the prospectus, launching our ‘Cyber Security Essentials’ course, as we’re all now very aware of the threats cyber-attacks pose to our industry.

Our award-winning events are another area where we continue to offer a mix of face-to-face and online networking and learning. We’re extremely proud to support and lead the payroll industry in celebrating National Payroll Week every September, now in it’s 25th year and of course, our Annual Conference and Exhibition has grown to become the largest event in the industry, supported by many sponsors and industry leaders. Membership of the CIPP continues to offer professionals a whole host of benefits, and this year we have relaunched our Fellowship grade, to recognise members who have a positive impact on the industry and contribute to the Institute. Our Advisory Service helpline still proves to be one of our most popular membership benefits and the team are always on hand to support with any technical payroll advice and guidance needed. Finally, our policy and research team work tirelessly on behalf of members and industry to respond to government consultations, sit on numerous forums and run several flagship surveys, ensuring members are always up to date and have a voice.

We’re proud to support and develop payroll and pensions professionals through education, membership, and recognition every day.

Jason Davenport MCIPP MIoD Chief executive officer
