Welcome It’s been a fantastic first year as CEO of the CIPP, and I am delighted to continue our unwavering support for our members and the wider payroll and pensions industries. Additionally, we look forward to further developing IPP Education (IPPE), a wholly owned subsidiary of the CIPP, to deliver the best possible products and services in line with an ever- changing landscape.

From early 2022, IPPE training courses moved from full, online delivery, to a hybrid training model, to ensure IPPE deliver training that best suits your preferred ways of learning, and this has proved extremely popular. The team are always listening to our members and looking to develop new courses and partnerships, to ensure we keep industry and members as up to date as possible, and you’ll see some of these in the prospectus and throughout the year. You’ll also see four new CIPP-approved qualifications within this year’s prospectus. We’re particularly proud of the new Level 4 Payroll Specialist Certificate , developed, delivered, assessed and awarded by IPPE, as we received Ofqual recognition in 2024 and now appear on the government register for awarding organisations (AO). As an AO, IPPE has also gone from strength to strength since launching the End-Point Assessment service for the level 3 and level 5 payroll apprenticeship standard, conducting 1106 * assessments since 2022. Our award-winning events are another area where we continue to offer a mix of face-to-face and online networking and learning. We’re extremely proud to support and lead the payroll industry in celebrating National Payroll Week every September, now in its 26th year and of course, our Annual Conference and Exhibition has grown to become the largest event in the industry, supported by many sponsors and industry leaders. This year we also launch a new event, Payroll Live , for those new to payroll, and in support of our #ChoosePayroll campaign, raising awareness of the CIPP and the payroll profession. Membership of the CIPP continues to offer professionals a whole host of benefits, and we have relaunched our fellowship grade, to recognise members who have a positive impact on the industry and contribute to the Institute. Our Advisory Service helpline still proves to be one of our most popular membership benefits and the team are always on hand to support members with any technical payroll advice and guidance needed. Finally, our policy and research team work tirelessly on behalf of members and industry to respond to government consultations, sit on numerous forums and run several flagship surveys, ensuring members are always up to date and have a voice.
