TROP D’ALCOOL La police a répondu à une plainte concernant une dispute familiale, sur l’avenue Du Parc, à Rockland, le soir du 3 décembre. Une femme de 41 ans, de Rockland, a été accusée d’avoir conduit un véhicule automobile alors que son taux d’alcoolémie dépassait pendu sur place pendant 90 jours et le véhicule qu’elle conduisait a été saisi pour une période de sept jours. Elle doit comparaitre en cour provinciale à L’Orignal, le 8 janvier 2020. – Gregg Chamberlain IMPAIRED DRIVING A faulty muffler earned a 21-year-old Rockland man several charges. Police stopped a vehicle on December 3,on Laurier, on suspicion of a provincial traffic violation. The driver ended up with charges under the Criminal Code of driving while impaired and driving with a blood-alcohol level exceeding 80 milligrams. He is also charged under the Highway Traffic Act with being a young driver in breach of the zero-tolerance rule for alcohol on his license, driving while his license was suspended, and having an improper muffler. His license was suspended on-site for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for seven days.– Gregg Chamberlain SIN FRAUD Police warn of a telephone fraud in the Eastern Ontario region involving social insurance numbers. A caller, claiming to represent a federal government department or other agency, phones people and tries to get them to verify their SIN card number, either by saying the number to confirm they are registered, or giving the first six digits of a SIN card number, and asking the victim to provide the final three digits to confirm whether or not it is their own. A Sunday noon-hour fire left a Rockland woman without her home, and may have also cost her the lives of her pets. Il ne faut jamais les laisser trainer sur un comptoir ou une table dans un commerce. Plusieurs fraudeurs peuvent subtiliser et remplacer les cartes rapidement, grâce à une petite distraction bien placée. Il est également essentiel de garder une saine distance des autres lorsqu’on utilise un guichet ou un terminal de point de vente. Si une offre est trop bonne, il faut s’en méfier. SI on trouve un produit haut de gamme à un prix ridiculement bas, en ligne ou dans une boutique, il faut s’en méfier, surtout si on annonce qu’il faut l’acheter vite pendant qu’il en reste ou avant que le solde éclair se termine. Cette occasion en or pourrait se transformer en déception rare si la luxueuse marchandise se révèle être une contrefaçon. L’agent Gratton le répète à chacune des rencontres de sensibilisation qu’il anime : « On dit que la nuit porte conseil. Il faut soi-même faire sa recherche, soit par Internet ou en personne à un établissement physique. The Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario (CDSBEO) added virtual reality technology to its teaching support resources for students. Peacefully at home, on Wednesday, October 16, 2019, Mignonne Lavigne, of Rockland, Ontario passed away, aged 85 years. Predeceased by her husband Maurice Lavigne, and her parents Edith Dunnigan and Jean Lafleur. She is survived by her sister Mariette, and her brother in law Dr. Matthew J. Hamilton; her brother J. Marc Lafleur (Judy Nolan); her nieces, Martha Walsh (Tom) and Daphne Hamilton (Dr. Dion Jansen); nephews, Dr. Jerome Hamilton and Dr. David Hamilton (Dr. Catherine); great nieces; Hope, Jane, Lola, Polly and great nephews, Andrew and Hamish. Mignonne had a lifelong career in the Federal Public Service, primarily with Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Transport. She loved life, travel, gardening, reading, bowling and spending time with her family. A funeral mass was held on Wednesday, October 23 rd , at Holy Trinity church, followed by internment at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic cemetery . Thank you to Dr. Y Lefebvre, support from ParaMed Home Health Care and Bayshore Health Care Ottawa, and Carefor Health and Community Services.

SOMMAIRE DU POSTE Sous l’autorité de l’administrateur, le superviseur des services environnementaux planifie, coordonne, organise et supervise toutes les activités liées à l’entretien, l’assainissement, la buanderie, l’entretien et le remplacement des équipements des installations physiques, de bâtiment et terrain, de la transformation et de la distribution de toutes les fonctions d’entretien ménager nécessaire au bon fonctionnement du centre. QUALIFICATIONS • Être titulaire d’un diplôme ou d’un grade d’études postsecondaires relié à l’entretien du bâtiment tel que charpenterie, plomberie, électricité etc. • Connaitre les pratiques couramment admises en ce qui a trait à l’entretien ménager, à la buanderie et à l’entretien, selon le cas; • Avoir au moins deux ans d’expérience dans l’exercice de fonctions de gestion ou de supervision; • Avoir de l’expérience dans la gestion d’employés syndiqués est un atout; • Connaissances en plomberie, électricité, mécanique et ingénierie, menuiserie, HVAC et santé et sécurité; • Connaissances des outils de gestion de l’information et des applications telles que Microsoft Office et logiciel de courriel; • Attestation de dossier judiciaire secteur vulnérable; • Posséder de bonnes connaissances de la Loi sur les foyers de soins de longue durée et SIMDUT. • Être capable de s’exprimer, lire et écrire en français, le bilinguisme est un atout.
