Des représentants de la Cité de Cla- rence-Rockland, de la Police provinciale de l›Ontario, du Service d›ambulance de Prescott-Russell, du Service des incendies et des personnes concernées se sont réunis au Parc Simon, pour prendre part au service local, lors de la Journée nationale annuelle de commémoration et d›action contre la violence faite aux femmes. Martin Leduc décédé le 24 septembre 2019 Du fond du cœur, nous vous disons merci, à vous tous qui, par votre présence, vos pensées, vos visites et vos écrits chaleureux, avez témoigné votre soutien, votre affection et votre amitié, à la suite du décès de notre cher Martin. Madame Marguerite Lafleur née Lalande, est décédée le lundi 2 décembre 2019, à l’âge de 82 ans. Elle était la conjointe de feu Jacques (Jack) Lafleur. Elle laisse dans le deuil ses cinq enfants : Jean (Monique Lafleur), Johanne (Rico Charbonneau), Jacques (Julie Lemay), Julie et Luc (Julie Brière) ainsi que ses sept petits- enfants et ses sept arrière-petits-enfants. De Clarence-Rockland (Ontario), est décédé Monsieur Fernand Potvin, le vendredi 29 novembre 2019, à l’âge de 91 ans. Il était le fils de feu Lucien Potvin et de feu Germaine Huppé. Il laisse dans le deuil ses deux enfants : Michel (Christiane Laporte) et Ginette (Pierre Allard); ses quatres petits-enfants : Shawn (Mélissa Geoffroy), Josée (Corey Whattam), Martin (Geneviève Dicaire), Joel (Caroline Pelletier) et ses arrière-petits-fils : Maxime, Zacharie, Logan, Jake et Theodore. Il laisse également sa belle-sœur, Gabrielle Pilon ainsi que plusieurs neveux, nièces et ami(e)s. School was in session last Friday night, as the Rockland Nationals gave the Navan Grads some lessons in scoring goals. The CIHA Arena in Rockland is home to the Canadian International Hockey Academy but on December 6 it was the school of hard knocks learning for the Navan Grads as they lost 10-4 to the Nats. Rockland outshot and outscored Navan all night. First period finished one-all for the two teams with Simon Labelle scoring first for Rockland, assisted by Gunnar Smith and Cameron Last. Navan’s Alex Robert tied with the score with a power-play goal, assisted by Case Kantgias and Aldéric Denis. The Grads Will Murray got the first goal of second period, with help from Jackson Arcan and Alex Robert. After that the Nats took over control of the game and the scoring. Labelle punched in two more goals for a hat trick, one of them while the Nats were playing shorthanded on the ice at the period mid-mark, Sullivan and Smith helped out on both of Labelle’s goals Scoring singles for Rockland in second period were Noah Doyle, with help from Smith and Labelle, followed by Last with a power- play point, assisted by Doyle and Cameron Pound. Smith finished off the second-period scoring for Rockland with a power-play point, assisted by Labelle and Last. Third period saw two power-play goals by Ryan Park and Zane Dalpe to finish off Navan’s scoreboard tally. Assisting Park were Tristan Francis and Alex Robert, while Kantgias and Blake Buller assisted Dalpe. Labelle scored his fourth point of the night with a short-handed goal, assisted by Smith. Rockland’s three remaining goals came courtesy of Andrew Aboumossa, from Vincent Labelle and Joe Jordan, Smith from Last and Aidan Hilton, and Jack Sullivan from Simon Labelle and Gabby Kioki. The Nats schedule had them in Smiths Falls December 10, then Brockville on Friday and Nepean Sunday. They host Smiths Falls December 18. Hawkesbury The opening week of their December schedule proved a matter of win some and lose some for the Hawkesbury Hawks. The Hawks lost the first two of their latest four games in the December schedule for the Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL). They finished up the weekend with two more wins for their season credit. Last Tuesday, in Navan, the Hawks lost 3-2 in overtime to the Grads, with goals by Jeremy Quesnel on a power play, assisted by Jérémie Payant, and by Owen Gonter, who tied up the score in third period with help from Luke Grainger. Scoring for Navan was Alex Robert with two goals, including the winning tiebreaker during overtime, and a single from Zane Dalpe in second period. Last Thursday night in Cornwall, the score was a repeat for the Hawks, but this time with the Cornwall Colts taking the win 3-2, with Will McKinley scoring two points in second period to give Cornwall the win. Scoring for Hawkesbury were Mark Cooper with a first- period power-play goal, assisted by Grainger, and Evan Johnston in second period, with help from Mark Cooper. Neither team was

Drew Rose also helped out on Lefebvre’s first goal while Jeremy Quesnel provided an assist also on the second. Rose scored his own point towards the end of the period with help from Quesnel and Luke Grainger. Goal assists came from Carroll, Hunt, Lefebvre, Josh Tapp, Jack Van Kessel, Xavier Langevin, Brett Lan- nin, and Cole Hodges. Sebastian Moreau guarded the net. Sunday afternoon on their home ice, the Castors brought the Jets down 5-2, with Gaumond scoring two goals, and Lugli, Caleb Smith, and Connor Head-Smith tossing in singles.
