Dragi putnici,
Dear Passengers,
Januar je simbol novih početaka i mesec u koji tradicionalno ulazimo sa pripremljenom listom ci- ljeva. Iza nas ostavljamo 2021. godinu, ali ne i lekcije koje nam je donela. Naučila nas je da budemo brži, fleksibilniji, oprezniji, ali i hrabriji. Bila je to godina čestih promena u ograničenjima putovanja, ali smo se i mi menjali i razvijali u skladu sa tim i, uprkos otežanim okolnostima, ostvarili dobre rezultate. Početkom decembra premašili smo cifru od 1.500.000 prevezenih putnika u 2021. godini, što pred- stavlja uvećanje za čak 76 odsto u odnosu na broj preveze- nih putnika tokom cele 2020. godine. Nadamo se da ćemo tim tempom nastaviti da se razvijamo i dalje. Imamo velike planove za unapređenje usluga i pruža- nje najboljeg mogućeg korisničkog iskustva, sa posebnim fokusom na digitalizaciju poslovanja, odnosno moderniza- ciju naše mobilne aplikacije i veb-sajta. Planiramo pojača- nje frekvencija do određenih destinacija, uvođenje novih linija i još mnogo novih i uzbudljivih iskustava za vas, na- še drage putnike. Pojačavamo i prisustvo na tržištu Itali- je, pa ćemo do Rima i Milana leteti svakog dana u sedmici, počev od 7. juna 2022. godine. Sklapanjem kod-šer ugo- vora sa novom italijanskom nacionalnom avio-kompani- jom ITA ervejz , omogućili smo vam letove do devet odre- dišta iz mreže partnera u ovoj popularnoj mediteranskoj zemlji, dok će putnici ITA ervejza preko Beograda moći da lete do 11 odabranih međunarodnih destinacija Er Srbije . Više o svemu ovome možete pronaći na narednim stra- nama magazina, gde vas očekuju i zanimljivosti o Sloveni- ji, destinaciji koja nam je u fokusu ovog meseca. Ne samo da vas upoznajemo sa čarima ove prelepe zemlje već smo se potrudili da vam je učinimo što dostupnijom, pa tre- nutno obavljamo devet nedeljnih letova do Ljubljane. Ne dozvolimo da početni entuzijazam nestane nakon nekoliko dana, već krenimo raširenih krila u susret zacrtanim ciljevima. Mi smo vam otkrili svoje, a šta ste vi isplanirali za 2022. go- dinu? Da li ste već napravili listu destinacija koje želite da posetite ove godine? Podelite je sa nama, jer mi smo tu da vam te želje i ispunimo. Uživajte u letu i srećan put,
January is the symbol of new beginnings and the month which we traditionally enter with a list of goals. We are leaving 2021 behind, but not the lessons it taught us. It taught us to be quicker, more flexible, more cautious, but also braver. It was a year of frequent change in travel restrictions, but we also changed and developed in ac- cordance with it, and despite the difficult circumstances, we accomplished good results. In early December, we surpassed the number of 1,500,000 passengers carried in 2021, which represents an increase of as much as 76% compared to the number of passengers carried during the entire 2020. We hope to continue growing at this rate in the future as well. We have big plans when it comes to upgrading our servic- es and offering the best possible user experience, with a spe- cial focus on digitalization of operations, i.e. the moderniza- tion of our mobile application and website. We are planning to boost frequencies to certain destinations, introduce new routes and offer many new and exciting experiences for you, our dear passengers. We are also increasing our presence in the Italian market, so we will be operating flights to Rome and Milan every day of the week, starting from 7 June 2022. By signing a codeshare agreement with the new Italian national airline, ITA Airways, we have enabled you to fly to nine des- tinations within our partner’s network in this popular Med- iterranean country, while the passengers of ITA Airways will be able to fly to 11 select international destinations offered by Air Serbia via Belgrade. You can find more information about this in the follow- ing pages of the magazine, where you can also find interesting facts about Slovenia, the destination we are focusing on this month. Not only will we introduce you to the magic of this beautiful country, we have also tried to make it as accessible as possible, and are currently operating nine weekly flights to Ljubljana. Read about what winter in Belgrade looks like, find inspiration for visiting a ski resorts in Serbia and learn what Novi Sad is preparing for us, as the proud bearer of the title of European Capital of Culture 2022. There are many plans, and the time for their implementa- tion is - now. And because of that, let’s not have this January become just one in the series of new beginnings for old habits. Let’s not allow the initial enthusiasm to dissipate within sever- al days, and let’s instead embark toward our goals with spread wings. We have told you ours, and what are your plans for 2022? Aerodromi su moja svakodnevica Marko Nastić, di-džej Uvek sam bio fasciniran le- tenjem među oblacima. Kako mi je karijera postajala ozbiljnija, tako su avioni i aerodromi postajali moja sva- kodnevica. Volim što za kratko vreme mogu da stignem na drugi kraj sveta, ali moram da priznam da ipak najviše volim direktne linije i male aerodrome.

I like the fact that I can arrive in another part of the world in a short period of time, but I must admit that I still like direct flights and small airports the most.

Bled Bledsko jezero i zamak na litici među najlep - šim su alpskim destinacijama u Evropi. Ovaj turistički dragulj na ivici Nacionalnog parka Tri - glav slika je raja, romantičan i vanvremenski. Ima mnogo toga što biste ovde mogli da radi - te, ali ne žurite previše, Bled nije mesto za to. Šta može nadmašiti ranu jutarnju šetnju oko samog jezera? A zatim – vožnja tradicional - nom pletnom do jedinog slovenačkog ostrva! Ovo je odgovor Bleda na venecijanske gondo - le. Posetite Crkvu Svete Marije i monumental - no stepenište sa 99 kamenih stepenica koje vode od luke do vrha ostrva. Mnogo je urbanih legendi o ovom ostrvcetu, od kojih su neke in - spirisale i najveć eg slovenačkog pesnika Fran - ca Prešerna. Ipak, svima je najpoznatija ona o potonulom zvonu. Zvono želje napravljeno je u Padovi 1534. U isto vreme u Bledskom zamku mlada udovi - ca je plakala za mužem čije je telo bačeno u je - zero. Skupila je sve svoje srebro i zlato i preli - la u novo zvono, kojim je htela da oda počast svojoj umrloj ljubavi. Kranjska Gora A world-class ski centre is nestled in the Ju- lian Alps at the point of the tri-border between Slovenia, Italy and Austria. Kranjska Gora is an attractive mountain tourism and sports cen- tre throughout the year. During the winter mon- ths, it hosts competing Alpine skiers and sees top ski jumpers break new records at the near- by Planica. Cyclists also endeavour to conquer Slovenia’s highest mountain pass, while the- re are many points of interest where hikers can stop and take in the stunning scenery. Bohinj Bohinj is a paradise valley in the embrace of the Julian Alps. Lake Bohinj, which sits at the heart of Triglav National Park, one of the oldest na- tional parks in Europe, is Slovenia’s largest na- tural lake, situated at the foot of unspoilt mo- untains and towering peaks. The lake’s water temperature rises to 22°C during the summer, where it still stands today, near St. Mary’s Chur- ch. Those who ring the Bell and announce the- ir wish to the beloved widow of Lake Bled can be heard, and their wishes will be granted. So the le- gend goes… There is also Slovenia's oldest castle, which towers majestically over Lake Bled keeping wat- ch over its waters. No one comes to Bled witho- ut making the 130-metre trek up to the summit, where they are repaid tenfold for the effort wi- th breath-taking views over the lake and the ne- arby Alps.

Bled Lake Bled, along with the castle perched on a cli- ff overlooking it, represents one of Europe’s most beautiful Alpine resorts. This tourist gem loca- ted on the edge of Triglav National Park provides a fairy-tale image, romantic and timeless. The- re is much to keep you busy, but don't rush too much, as Bled isn't the place for that. What can top an early morning stroll around the lake itse- lf? Followed by a ride on a traditional pletna bo- at to Slovenia's only island?! This is Bled's answer to Venice's gondolas. Visit St. Mary’s Church and the monumental staircase with 99 stone steps leading from the harbour to the top of the island. There are many urban legends about Bled Island, some of which even inspired Slovenia’s greatest poet, France Prešeren. However, there is one par- ticular legend that is the best known: the legend of the sunken bell. The Bell of Desire was made in Padua in 1534. At the same time, in Bled Castle, a young widow wept for her departed husband, whose body had been thrown into Lake Bled. She collected all her silver and gold and cast them into a new bell, wi- th which she wanted to honour her dead love. The bell never arrived on the island, sinking in a raging storm, along with the boat and all the men aboard. Local residents of Bled say that they can still hear the bell, together with voices rising from the depths of the lake. After this accident, the desperate young widow sold all her posses- sions and left to take up residence at a nunnery in Rome. After her death, the Pope instructed that a new bell be forged and sent to Bled Island,

Piran je istorijski lučki grad smešten na uskom poluostrvu, sa tri strane omeđen Tršcanskim zalivom Piran is a historical harbour town set on a narrow peninsula, hemmed in on three sides by the Gulf of Trieste Slovenačka obala možda pokriva samo 47 kilo - metara, ali je prepuna slatkih gradova. What does corporate hell look like? Just like the series Succession. These are well-groomed people in expensive suits with shiny, fake smiles. It’s just that they aren’t people at all. They’re a special kind of human scum. There is no hair gel and expensive outfit that can hide the fact that they live for the day when they will stab you in the back. Simply, it is a hell of narcissistic, gluttonous and shame- less individuals. It was on 3 rd June, 2018, that Logan Roy, head of the fam- ily and CEO of media conglomerate Waystar RoyCo, found himself a step away from the Eternal Meadow. His concerned children gathered around his hospital bed. He promised his son Kendall that he was next in line to the throne, but he lied. Kendall, a former cocaine addict with an inglorious his- tory that includes murder, doesn’t want to accept “no” as an answer, while daughter Shiv and son Roman vie to please their father in the hope of overtaking their brother. The third season of the Roy family saga, which culminated in Decem- ber (all episodes of the series can be watched on HBO-GO), brought us a conflict of biblical proportions between Kendall and Logan. The series glitters even more with the introduc- tion of Adrian Brody and Alexander Skarsgård... Although a question remains as to where this series can go after this phenomenal third season. For now, the date of the premiere of the first episode of the fourth season has yet to be revealed by anyone, but here some of the main stars re- veal the secrets of their characters exclusively to us. Džesi Armstrong vodi sobu punu pisaca koji neprestano usavršavaju scenario, ali dozvoljavaju i glumcima da isprobaju re- plike na različite načine. Mnogo ste radi- li u pozorištu, da li vam se sviđa takav na- čin rada? – O, volim način na koji Džesi radi. On je jedin- stven. Stalno brine da li je serija previše savršena jer ne voli savršenstvo – želi da zabrlja! Jednostavno je fantastičan. I sve je uvek iznenađujuce i tako ljud- ski. On zaista razume i ne osuđuje likove. Tako je la- ko uzeti ovu seriju i osuditi sve, ali on to nikada ne radi. Uvek ide putem koji ne očekujete. Imate i veoma aktivnu filmsku karijeru. Šta je to u ovoj seriji i ovom liku zbog če- ga želite da joj posvetite toliko svog vre- mena? – Za mene je kod Logana privlačna njegova mi- sterija. Ne znamo ko je on. I ja još otkrivam ko je Logan. U devetoj epizodi prve sezone iznenada su odlučili da je rođen u Dandiju, iako su mi rekli da je rođen u Kvebeku! Rekao sam: „Šta se dođavola de- šava? Igrao sam ovog tipa iz Kvebeka osam epizoda i odjednom sam Dandijanac!“. Džesijev odgovor je bio: „O, ali otišao si veoma rano, u redu je, pre rata su te odveli u Kanadu kada si bio dete!“. Kažem vam, stalno neka iznenađenja, i to je ono što mi je zaista bilo zanimljivo. Na kraju i zato što sam ja Dandija- nac – obojica smo ljudi koji su živeli u zemlji koju je vreme tako dugo zaboravilo. Dandi je pomogao, iako me je malo zbunilo to što sam morao da upoređujem svoje pore-

Logan Roy Logan has that Citizen Kane mystery Brian Cox
Jesse Armstrong runs a writing room full of writers who are constantly finessing the script. And he also lets the actors try the lines in a variety of ways. As someone who’s done a lot of stage work, does that way of working appeal to you? “Oh, I love the way Jesse works. He’s unique. He worries if it’s too perfect! He doesn’t like perfec- tion; he wants to mess it up! He’s just fantastic. And everything is always surprising. And it’s so human – he really does understand, and he doesn’t judge the characters. It’s so easy to take this show and judge everything, but he never does. It’s always going in the route that you never expect.” You have a very active film career, too. What is it about this show, and this char- acter, that makes you want to return, and to devote so much of your working life to it? “For me the appeal of Logan is his mystery. We don’t know who he is. I’m still discovering who he is. It goes back to episode nine of the first series, they suddenly decided he was born in Dundee hav- ing said he was born in Quebec! I said: ‘What the hell’s going on? I’ve been playing this guy from Que- bec for the last eight episodes and suddenly I’m a Dundonian!’ And Jesse said ‘Oh, you left very ear- ly, it’s OK, before the War, they took you away to Canada when you were a kid!’ But it was a bit of a shock. And that’s what’s really been interesting for me. Because I’m a Dundonian, We were the people that lived in the land that time forgot for so long.” So, having this deep-seated understand- ing of Logan’s background, what he’s been through, and of his mettle, helps you do the world-building of his character? “Absolutely. The Dundonian thing helped, al- though it confused me a little bit as I had to match my background against his. He had a much more bitter experience than mine – mine wasn’t too won- derful. I’ve written a memoir about my home and history… But Logan came up on a rack in some kind of way. He’s a very disappointed man. And in a way he’s got that Citizen Kane mystery about him. And that’s what you have to keep intact: Logan’s mystery. I’m too much of a blabbermouth, that’s my problem!” Where do we find Logan in series three? “There’s a new challenge. There’s this usurping son who’s trying to prove himself and Logan knows the boy is in for a bruising, just because he’s such a complicated lad, young Kendall. And he’s such a lone- ly boy. There’s nothing Logan can do about that. But he loves him. The thing I asked Jesse right from the word go is: ‘Does he love his children?’ And he said: ‘He absolutely loves his children.’ So once you’ve es- tablished that, how much his children mean to him, and how disappointing it all becomes, that’s fod- der for the whole show: at root, we never see it, he

oma simpatičan. Zašto onda volimo seriju punu toliko jezivih likova? – Zato što mislim da nas to podseca na to ko smo. Serija provocira toliko mnogo tamnih stra- na za mnoge od nas. Ali to je Džesijeva veština, to je ono što Džesi radi: namamio je ljude u ovu priču na briljantan način. Gledaoci su se uhva- tili na udicu Naslednika i ne mogu da se skinu. Razumem to. Naravno, serija je, osim toga, pre- puna zaista sjajnih ljudi, sve do kraja – ne samo glumci vec i garderoba, šminka, snimatelji – svi su bez premca. Čak i ja ponekad pitam zar nešto stvarno moram da izgovorim...’ Da li vam je lako da u sebi pronađete Loga- nov vulkanski gnev? – Da. Duboko u sebi sam prilično ljut! Samo uđem u bunar besa i tu sam. Prilično je duboko, ali mogu sa siđem. Znate, ja imam svoje razloge za ljutnju o kojima vam necu pričati! Ali mogu biti prilično ljut, tako da je to lakši deo. Pronaći tog biznimena bilo je mnogo teže. Ali na kraju smo stigli i tamo.
doesn’t express it, but he does love them.” You wouldn’t say any of these people are hugely likeable. So why do we love a show peopled with so many thistly characters? “Because I think it reminds us of who we are at rock bottom. It rings so many bells – and dark bells – for a lot of us. But that’s Jesse’s skill, that’s what Jesse does: he’s lured people into this show in an incredibly bril- liant way. And people are caught. They’re on the Suc- cession hook, and they can’t get off it. I understand that. And, also, it’s packed with really great people, all the way down the line – not just the actors, but the wardrobe department, make-up department, camera crew. So our community is pretty bloody good, really.” Similarly, it’s a show about the one per cent – or even the 0.1 per cent. And yet it’s relata- ble. How does it manage that? “I think that’s because we all have ambition. Some- times it’s thwarted. Sometimes we bury it. Sometimes we go for it. Sometimes we are ashamed of it. I think the nakedness of Succession is what catches people. Because it’s quite naked in that way – the language, the abuse… Even I sometimes go: ‘Do I really have to say that?’…” When you have to summon Logan’s volcanic anger, is it easy for you to do? “Yeah. Deep down I’m quite angry! I just go into the well of anger and it’s there. It’s quite deep, but I can go down there. You know, I have my own reasons for anger – which I’m not going to tell you about! But I can be quite angry, so that’s the easy part. It was just being the businessman that was suffering. But we got there in the end.”

Bez obzira na sve, kada je na vrhu, on je na dnu. Postoji osecaj da su svi na vrhu sveta u jednom trenutku, ali i na devetoj stepenici pakla. A Džesi uspeva da zadrži ta dva pola unutar ovog li- ka. Mislim da je moj zadatak kao glumca da poku- šam da obuzdam te stvari. Odakle potiče Kendalova „sputana tesko- ba“, kako ste je jednom opisali? – Mislim da to dolazi od života punog gušenja i osujecivanja. Mislim da dolazi od nedostatka nege i ljubavi njegovih roditelja. Ovaj lik ima mnogo poti- snutog besa i nasleđe štete zlostavljanja koje je en- demsko u ovoj porodici. Kako je bilo snimati te scene? – Brajan je jedan od najvećih glumaca koji su ikada hodali Zemljom, tako da je neizmerno uzbudljivo bi- ti u ringu sa njim. On je iskonska sila, kao Logan, ali i kao glumac. Brajan je opasan glumac, što mislim da je na neki način najveci kompliment koji može- te dati glumcu. Da, često se srecemo u ringu, on je teška kategorija, i to me tera da privučem svako zr- no umetnosti i hrabrosti koju mogu da prizovem. Kako ste se pripremili za snimanje final- nog preokreta druge sezone? Da li ste se, na primer, odvojili od ostatka glumačke ekipe da biste se izolovali na način na koji je Kendal bio izolovan u tom trenutku? – Istina je da se stalno odvajam i izolujem. Ne baš zato što je Kendal izolovan, vec samo zato što je to način na koji moram da radim. Moram da ostanem u negativnom prostoru i da budem tih. Pripremao sam se za tu scenu kao što sam se pripremao za bi- lo koju drugu. Na neki način, deo discipline glumca je da ne smete učiniti nijedan trenutak važnijim od bilo kojeg drugog. Ali ipak ponekad postoji misao – evo je velika scena, i bio sam toga svestan.
U svom govoru na dodeli Emi nagrada citi- rali ste pesmu Stivena Dana: „Sve što sam ikada želeo bila je knjiga toliko dobra da bih je završavao do kraja života.“ Da li je za vas serija Naslednici takva knjiga? – Znate, drago mi je što ste ovo pitali, jer mi to daje priliku da se iskupim zato što sam nešto izosta- vio iz tog citata. Pravi citat glasi: „Sve što sam ikada želeo bio je posao poput knjige tako dobar da bih je završavao do kraja života.“ Šta je ovo za mene? Sve. Serija je napisana na najvišem i najdubljem nivou, to je Džesi Armstrong, to je ova neverovatna glumač- ka ekipa. Opisao sam ovo kao penjanje na Everest, da je to planina na koju sam oduvek želeo da se po- pnem. Ali zapravo to je planinski lanac, sa tim dola- ze i ove duboke pukotine, a takođe i ovi neverovat- no visoki vrhovi. Kao glumac najviše čemu možete da se nadate jeste da prođete uspešno preko takvih vrhova i kroz takve doline. Ova treca sezona je sva- kako bila najviši planinski vrh do sada.

You said recently: “I remember things that are instructive. They are like northern lights for me.” What was the most instructive de- scription of Kendall from your earliest con- versations with Jesse Armstrong about the character? “I went to visit the writers’ room in South London, about four or five years ago, when we were starting the first season, and Jesse Armstrong had written on a note card: ‘Kendall wins but loses.’ And that stayed with me, the sort of, in a sense, paradox. No matter what, when he’s on the top, he’s on the bottom. There’s a sense of both being on top of the world at this mo- ment, but also in the ninth circle of hell. And there is a way that Jesse is able to contain those two poles with- in this character. And I think my task as an actor is to try to contain those things in myself.” Where does Kendall’s “muzzled anguish”, as you’ve described it, come from? “Well, I think it comes from a lifetime of being sti- fled, of being thwarted. I think it comes from a lack of nurture and love from his parents. I think this charac- ter has a lot of rage. It’s about a legacy of damage, and it’s about a legacy of abuse that is endemic in this fam- ily. I also think the anguish comes from what happens at the end of season one. Until then, it’s a story of am- bition. Jesse and I talked a lot about Crime and Pun- ishment. And that phrase that I used is what Dosto- evsky described as this ‘monstrous pain’ - pain of the secret that Raskolnikov has, and the way that that se- cret separates him from the world. And puts an un- bridgeable chasm between him and whatever was good in him. And so that, I think, is the terrible anguish that is muzzled because it can’t be shared.” You had a lot of intense two-hander scenes with Brian Cox in season two – effective- ly they bracketed the season – and presum- ably have more of them, at an even more in- tense pitch, in season three. How are they to film for you? “Oh, Brian is pound for pound as great an actor as has ever walked the earth. So, it’s immeasurably ex- citing to be in the ring with him. tor, which I think in a way is the highest compliment you can pay an actor. We just meet each other in the ring, and it’s just like he’s a heavyweight, and it makes me summon every ounce of artistry and courage that I can summon.” How did you prepare to film the season two finale twist? Did you, for example, take your- self away from the rest of the cast, to isolate yourself in the way that Kendall was in that moment? “Well, I mean, the truth is, I kind of take myself away and isolate myself all the time. Not really be- cause Kendall is isolated, although that is part of it, but just because that’s the way I need to work. I need to stay in a place of negative space and be quiet. I pre- pared for that scene the way I prepared for any other scene. In a way, part of the discipline of being an ac- tor is that you can’t make any one moment more im- portant than any other moment. But there’s this sense in the show sometimes of ‘here’s the big scene’, and I was aware of it.” In your Emmy acceptance speech, you quot- ed a Stephen Dunn poem: “All I ever wanted was a book so good I'd be finishing it for the rest of my life.” What makes Succession that book for you? “You know, I’m glad you asked this, because it gives me a chance to redeem myself because I left some- thing out from that quote. The actual quote is: ‘All I ever wanted was a job like a book so good I'd be fin- ishing it for the rest of my life. And so, what makes this that for me? It’s everything. It’s writing at the highest and deepest level, it’s Jesse Armstrong, it’s this incredible cast. I’ve described this as like climb- ing Everest, that it’s the mountain I’ve always wanted to climb. But it’s really not a mountain. It’s a moun- tain range, and with that come these deep crevasses, and also these incredibly high peaks. And so, as an ac- tor, the most you can hope for is to go through such peaks and valleys.
