Il n›y aura pas de panique pour les motoneigistes cet hiver concernant l›accès au sentier récréatif de Prescott- Russell, dans le cadre de leurs aventures touristiques. Les Comtés unis de Prescott et Russell (CUPR) et VIA Rail ont convenu d’une autre prolongation de l’entente d’utilisation du sentier récréatif de Prescott-Russell. La nouvelle prolongation se termine à la fin du mois de janvier 2022. Le conseil des CUPR a ratifié la prolonga- tion à la fin de sa session du 25 août, après un examen à huis clos de la proposition. L’administrateur en chef Stéphane Parisien a confirmé, lors d’un entretien téléphonique ultérieur, que les négociations se poursuivent entre les CUPR et VIA Rail au sujet de l’avenir du tracé du sentier récréatif. «Les choses se passent bien «, a-t-il déclaré. Le sentier récréatif de 72 kilomètres suit le tracé d’une ancienne voie ferrée du CPR qui appartient maintenant à VIA Rail. Les rails ont été retirés en 1986 et le sentier PR a été créé en 2006. Les accords d’utilisation passés entre les CUPR et VIA Rail étaient des accords de location. Les discussions entre les deux parties portent

Setting off fireworks is now a little more complicated. During its August 9 meeting, Russell Township Council examined a proposal for a new set of bylaws that would allow the use of fireworks during specific dates. Fireworks were always prohibited in the Township PG3VTTFMMVOEFS UIF/PJTF#ZMBXVOMFTT granted an exemption by the Council, but as of September 1, 2021, that will no longer be the case. Consumer Fireworks are allowed between sunset and 11pm on Canada Day, Victoria %BZ /FX:FBST&WF BOE4U+FBO#BQUJTUF Day, with no permit required. Display Fireworks and Pyrotechnic Special &GGFDUT'JSFXPSLTBSFBMMPXFEBT MPOHBT you obtain a permit first, which includes an BQQMJDBUJPOQSPDFTT BRVBMJàFETVQFSWJTPS and an insurer. Certain fireworks such as fire crackers and flying lanterns are excluded from these categories and are still banned outright. Pour répondre à cette question, vous devez tenir compte de votre situation actuelle. Combien de dents vous manque-t-il ? Est-ce important pour vous de les remplacer ? Connaissez-vous les conséquences de ne pas remplacer vos dents manquantes ? De plus, est-ce que ça vous gêne de porter des prothèses par peur que les gens autour de vous le sachent ? C’est l’une des préoccupations communes de plusieurs personnes. Fonction Les porteurs de prothèses éprouvent une diminution d’efficacité de mastication de 90 %. Toutefois, le patient moyen ne réalise pas qu’au fil du temps il compense cette lacune et s’y adapte naturellement. Par exemple, mastiquer un steak peut être difficile si vous portez une prothèse complète du haut tandis que croquer et mastiquer une pomme peut être difficile si vous portez une prothèse complète du bas. Après avoir écrit des romans pour enfants et s’être présenté en politique à trois reprises, Marc-Antoine Gagnier, de Russell, se lance dans un nouveau projet : animer sa propre émission de radio francophone au poste de radio communautaire CJRO. Lorsqu’il était candidat au conseil muni- cipal de Russell, en 2018, Marc-Antoine Gagnier a eu l’idée de créer une radio com- munautaire bilingue, mais puisqu’il n’a pas été élu, il a laissé tomber l’idée et a plutôt rejoint l’équipe de CJRO. Il a décidé d’approcher cette station, car il y a remarqué un manque de bénévoles. M. Gagnier, étudiant à La Cité Collégiale, avait pour projet d’enseigner la radio, mais en raison de la pandémie, cela n’a pas été possible. Dès le 1er septembre, M. Gagnier enre- gistrera son émission en français Gagnier aime se jaser, au petit studio situé à la place Embrun. Celle-ci pourrait être diffusée tous les dimanches ou tous les lundis. Cela reste à confirmer. Cette émission est présentée sous forme de talkshow. Dans le premier segment, l’animateur aborde un sujet de son choix, enchaîne avec de la musique et reçoit un invité spécial à chaque émission.

Occupant une place importante dans le quotidien de millions de Québécois, le transport par camion génère de nombreux emplois à travers la province. Voici quelques-uns des métiers que regroupe cette dynamique industrie! CAMIONNEUR
Très recherchés présentement, les camionneurs assurent le trans- port local (ex. : à l’intérieur d’une région) ou longue distance (ex. : à travers tout le continent) de marchandises et de matériaux en tous genres (ex. : produits forestiers, carburant, aliments). En plus de voir du pays, ils conduisent, selon leur spécialisation, divers types de véhi- cules lourds : fourgon, camion à benne, semi-remorque, camion-ci- terne, etc. MÉCANICIEN Les mécaniciens veillent au bon fonctionnement des véhicules lourds ou des remorques et interviennent en cas de panne. L’industrie du transport étant en constante évolution, notamment avec le développe- ment d’énergies propres et de nouvelles technologies, ce métier, qui peut comprendre certaines spécialisations (ex. : moteur diesel), ne risque pas de devenir ennuyant! RÉPARTITEUR Le poste de répartiteur présente de beaux défis. Celui-ci a pour tâche d’optimiser les chargements et les itinéraires des camionneurs qui lui sont attitrés afin que les marchandises soient non seulement livrées dans les délais, mais également au moindre coût, le tout en gérant les horaires des camionneurs de façon équitable. MANUTENTIONNAIRE Le rôle d’un manutentionnaire est principalement de charger et de décharger les marchandises et de veiller à ce qu’elles se trouvent au bon endroit. The weather wasn’t as cooperative for the Riceville Fair as it had been for other local agricultural fairs making a comeback after getting cancelled by the pandemic last year. In-person classes to resume, with an option for remote learning. The Upper Canada District School Board (UCDSB) released its back-to-school fra- mework on August 27, answering questions about the state of schools on September 7. Most students are expected to return to the classroom, but remote learning will also be available, with the option of synchronous or asynchronous learning. Synchronous teaching will occur simultaneously in-class and over Microsoft Teams. There will be no non-digital remote option for students. All students from Grades 1 to 12 will wear face masks while indoors at school, and Kindergarteners are encouraged but not required to do the same. Elementary schools will return to the “cohort” model this year, which will include recess for Kindergarten to Grade 6 students. Grades 7 and 8 will not require cohorting during recess due to the recent availability of the Pfizer vaccine for that age group. High schools will employ the “quadmester” system for the beginning of the year, meaning two 150-minute classes per day. Lockers and hooks can be used outside of classrooms in public board schools, but only for personal belongings. Cafeterias will resume hot lunch and student nutrition programs, but all physical distancing and cohorts must be observed inside. Modified sports, field trips, and music programs will all return. Details of the modifications to extracurricular programs will be available through individual schools. In the event of a COVID case being repor- ted in school, unvaccinated individuals that come into contact will have to isolate for 10 days and provide at least two negative tests. Vaccinated individuals will not need to isolate and only require one negative test before returning to school. “If there is a confirmed case of COVID-19 at your school, families will be notified. The health unit will do an investigation at the school to determine if there is any risk to other staff or students,” states the UCDSB advisory.
