Sarajevo Otvoren muzej Valter brani Sarajevo
Sarajevo Museum ‘Walter defends Sarajevo’ Opens The capital of Bosnia-Herzegovina has been enriched with one more cultural in- stitution – the Walter Defends Sarajevo Museum, which is dedicated to director Hajdurin‘Šiba’Krvavac’s cult lm. The mu- seum contains parts of the lm’s interior scenery, original props, and wax gures of the featured actors. The family of late ac- tor Velimir ‘Bata’ Živojinović, who played the lead role in the lm, bequeathed to the museum a wristwatch that Bata re- ceived as a gift. This museum is expected to become a tourist attraction. London World’s best destination TripAdvisor, the world’s biggest trav- el site, has declared London the best tourist destination for 2019, based on the assessments of a million of its us- ers. Feelings of uncertainty caused by Brexit were this time outdone by the euphoria prompted by the royal wed- ding of Prince Harry and Meghan Mar- kle, which had a powerful impact worldwide. Demand for tours of Buck- ingham Palace is signicantly high- er, with people wanting to walk in the footsteps of the royal family along lanes and streets, exploring everything that London has to oer them.

Ljubljana Kapsule umesto hotelskih soba
Ljubljana Capsules replace hotel rooms
With a view to the Japanese model of ac- commodation, one Ljubljana hotel is of- fering guests the chance to sleep in cap- sules instead of rooms. Unlike a standard room costing around 140 euros per night, sleeping in a capsule costs just 30 euros, while the experience is certainly dier- ent. The capsules aren’t intended only for sleeping; they don’t lack in luxury and in- clude a TV, high-speed wi- connection, safe and mirror. According to hotel man- agement, this novelty is aimed primarily at millennials seeking relaxed, authentic and urban accommodation.

I odlučni smo u tome. Kroz iskustvo junaka proširili smo vidike. Stvorili smo nove formule, nova uživanja, nove Zlatiborac ukuse. Postavili smo nove standarde. Verujemo i u avan- turiste oko sebe.

Pored se- be uvek imam kompjuter, igram igrice. Južna Amerika me je takođe oduševila.
NA PUTU / ON THE ROAD
NEVEN BOŠKOVIĆ IGRAM IGRICE U AVIONU I PLAY GAMES ON PLANES Tekst/Words: Ljiljana Perović Fotografije/Photography: Uroš Arsić
WHAT DON’T YOU BOARD A PLANE WITHOUT? I don’t have any kind of ritual, but I usually check the documents I need for the journey. If the ight is short, then I buy daily news- papers, but if it’s longer I buy magazines or bring a book. I always have a computer next to me and I play games. WHICH DESTINATION HAS REMAINED STRONGLY IN YOUR MEMORY? I’ve travelled a lot and seen amazing lands, and it’s dicult for me to single out one, but Vietnam is a country that left me speechless. I like destinations that don’t resemble Europe, because I want everything to be dierent to me, strange. I was also delighted with South America.
WHY DO YOU LIKE PLANES?
WHY DO YOU LOVE BELGRADE?
Aeroplanes are the best thing that a man could think up. I adore them! There’s no oth- er existing means of transport that can take you so quickly and comfortably to some dis- tant parts of the world, not to mention that there are plac- es you can’t even reach except by plane.
First and foremost, I was born in Bel- grade and my whole family is here. I’ve lived in many countries and on dif- ferent continents, but no matter how beautiful they were as countries, and how good for life, I never felt like I be- long there as I do here. I grew up on this asphalt, and that’s where I feel the best.

MINIINTERVJU: ROLF DOBELI, WORLD.MINDS FOUNDATION MINI INTERVIEW: ROLF DOBELLI, WORLD.MINDS FOUNDATION
SRPSKI NAUČNICI MENJAJU SVET SERBIAN SCIENTISTS CHANGE THE WORLD Beograd će 23. maja 2019. u Narodnom pozorištu prvi put biti domaćin prestižnog skupa World.minds, koji okuplja više od 400 svetskih lidera u inovacijama, nauci, tehnologijama, ekonomiji, umetnosti, medicini, a koji je do sada uvek bio održavan u Cirihu Belgrade’s National Theatre will host the prestigious World. Minds Symposium for the rst time on 23 rd May this year – an event that brings together over 400 world leaders of innovation, science, technology, economics, the arts and medicine, and which has previously always been held in Zurich
– Iznajmio sam jedan bar u Ci- rihu, pozvao 20 direktora i 20 nauč- nika, dobitnika Nobelove nagrade, i rekao im: „Ispričajte nam zanimlji- ve stvari na kojima radite. – Srbija i World.minds sarađuju dugi niz godina.
Prečesto naučnici, poslovni lide- ri i umetnici žive i rade u svojoj zoni komfora.
godišnjim simpozijumima World.mi- nds u Cirihu. – Apsolutno. Kada je reč o prime- njenoj nauci, Srbija je svetska klasa. Osim toga, Srbija ima ogromnu di- jasporu izuzetno uspešnih naučnika i preduzetnika širom sveta, Srba ko- ji menjaju svet u mnogim oblastima. To povezuje naučnike i

R olf Dobelli, an entrepreneur and author of several books, is the founder of the World.Minds community, which will this year relocate for the rst time from his native Zurich to be held in Belgrade. And everything began when he rst realised that his business friends had lost touch with science. “I rented a bar in Zurich, invited 20 directors and 20 sci- entists – winners of Nobel Prizes – and said to them: ‘tell us the interesting things that you’re doing’. And that’s how we started,” says Dobelli. His community today includes a thou- sand people and can be joined solely via invitation. Ideas are presented and works agreed in the community, and this year that will all happen in our country. Tell us about the relationship between WORLD.MINDS and Serbia, and how it has developed to the stage where WORLD.MINDS Belgrade is happening. How did Belgrade become the only host besides Zurich? - Serbia and WORLD.MINDS have been working togeth- er for many years. Science has a long tradition in Serbia, and we’ve been fascinated by the rich intellectual fabric of the region. President Vučić and Prime Minister Brnabić partici- pated in WORLD.MINDS Annual Symposia in Zurich during the past couple of years, so we decided to bring our com- munities together. Does Serbia deserve to be recognised as a creative and innovative country for the arts, science and technolo- gy? What are your impressions? - Absolutely. In terms of applied science, Serbia is world- class. In addition, Serbia has a huge diaspora of extremely suc- cessful scientists and entrepreneurs all over the world, Serbs who change the world in many elds. World.Minds initially linked business and science, on- ly later to be joined by artists. - Our mission is to understand the world. Science and the arts are two avenues to accomplish this. The arts can of- fer perspectives on the world that are truly enlightening. Having said that, our main focus remains science. In your opinion, what connects science and the arts; and how do artists react when you invite them to your symposia? - If you want to be world class as a scientist or artist, you have to be incredibly imaginative and creative. This unites scientists and artists. Artists love exchanging views with re- searchers, so they love being invited. What are your predictions for the future of science and innovation? - By denition, it is impossible to forecast innovations or breakthrough inventions. If we could forecast them, we would know about them today and they would have already been invented. What impact / change do you want to achieve through your work on a global level? - We want to build the necessary bridges between sci- ence, business and the arts. Too often, scientists, business leaders and artists live and work in their mental silos. In to- day’s world, real progress mainly comes from collaboration. So, in short, you could say that our mission is not to be mere- ly interdisciplinary, but “anti-disciplinary”. What should the audience expect from WORLD.MINDS Belgrade? - A veritable reworks display of stunning presentations from truly world-class people from all over the world; fantastic discussions and a wonderful audience of leaders in science, business and the arts with whom to mingle.

JER NOĆ JE MRAČNA U ŽIŽI: IGRA PRESTOLA IN THE SPOTLIGHT: GAME OF THRONES
I PUNA UŽASA
CAUSE THE NIGHT IS DARK AND FULL OF TERRORS
Za „Elevejt“ govore Emilija Klark, prelepa Kalisi, i glavni šmeker u seriji Nikolaj Koster Voldo, poznatiji kao Džejmi Lanister Eight years have passed since the premiere of the rst episode, and the actors whose characters have managed to survive for eight seasons could never even have dreamt that the fateful date of 17 th April 2011 would forever change their lives, launching them into stardom. Speaking for this issue of Elevate are Emilia Clarke, who plays the beautiful Khaleesi, and the main heartthrob of the series, Nikolaj Coster- Waldau, better known as Jaime Lannister

W hen the nal episode of the seventh sea- son of Game of Thrones ended in August 2017, and the dragon that turned into the undead opened its icy blue eye at the end, it seemed that nobody would survive. Yes, of course, the chances are that many of them won’t sur- vive in the imagined lands of R. R. Martin when the zom- bies bring down the wall, but I’m actually talking about people around the world imagining that they won’t sur- vive for another two years until the next season! Never- theless, euphoria shook the planet this April, as many fans of Game of Thrones welcomed the nal stage of this popular saga. However, this popular TV phenomenon is nearing its end, with the main stars moving on to new projects. And no matter how sorry the audience is that they will soon part ways with their heroes and villains, it seems that it’s even tougher for the actors. In London, on the eve of the premiere of the rst episode of the eighth season, we had an opportunity to talk to them, and here’s what some of the most beloved characters told us on this occasion. Emilija Klark EMOTIVNA I MOĆNA MAJKA ZMAJEVA
Poslednja scena bila je magična, kaže Emilija My final scene was really magical, says Emilia
To me nije zanimalo. General- no, ne guglam čak ni sebe... Zaista, nikakve komentare ne čitate? EMILIA CLARKE: SENSITIVE AND POWERFUL MOTHER OF DRAGONS

me that would have remained closed if not for this show. What is the craziest thing you dreamt of as a girl that actually happened to you thanks to Game of Thrones? - I’m currently struggling to single some of them out. There have really been a lot, but perhaps it was that situation with Brad Pitt [the famous actor donated $120,000 at a charity dinner just to spend the evening with Emilia Clarke]. That seemed to me like some crazy dream that I’d wake up from as the twelve-year-old Emilia. But then I saw Brad sitting reclined on a chair winking at me. It was really crazy. Could you tell us something about that last day of shooting and the final scene – given that shooting it took ten years? -Oh,itwasveryemotional.Thatwastheday I realised that alcohol can cause one to fall into depression [laughs]. That nal scene was really magical. Teams came from other sets, because they knew that it was my last scene. Everyone waited a three full hours for it to be completed. Us actors received wonderful gifts; it was all real- ly emotional. My brother lmed it all, and I could just hear him groaning behind my back. I cried so much. In the end we all went out for dinner together, and I realised while drinking a glass of wine there that I was just even sadder.
- The series really addresses power a lot, and what makes it unique is that this pow- er is given to the female characters, which sends a strong and signicant message. This is a series about a fantastical world in fantas- tical times, but giving such roles to women is really very important. Have you read the dierent theories about how the series will end? There are many inspirational and entertain- ing ones. - I haven’t. I wasn’t interested in that. Gen-
D aenerys, or Khaleesi, the mother of drag- ons, future queen, who’s in love with the favourite Jon Snow, Prince of the North, but it turned out that she’s his aunt! Okay, we’ve yet to see all of that, but Emilia Clarke is a girl we certainly won’t forget. She speaks to Ele- vate about the last season, happenings be- hind the scenes during shooting and what all of that has to do with Brad Pitt. How do you now see those explicit scenes, especially those violent ones with Khal Drogo? - Uh, that’s so... That had to be like that, we had to see all the suering that Daener- ys went through, in order for the audience to reach that level of empathy with and com- passion for her; for them to come to love her through that suering. That certainly isn’t a part of the series that I would change in any way. What is particularly interesting is the fact that I’m still asked such questions, which says a lot about the kind of society in which we live. We often see some famous women around the world identifying with Khalee- si, who admire the power of that woman...
erally, I don’t even ‘google’ myself...
You really don’t read any comments at all? - No, because I don’t think that’s good for my mental health. There are too many dif- ferent considerations and observations on that topic. You know, I also had some theory of my own about the series, but after read- ing the script I realised that I’d been deeply mistake [laughs]. Do you think that George R. R. Martin will nally nish all the books? - He will, I’m sure. I have a lot of trust and faith in him when it comes to that. How signicant has the recognisability of the series and your role been for you as an actress? - It’s denitely opened a lot of doors to

Nikolaj Koster Voldo DŽEJMIJEVE SUZE ZA KRAJ NIKOLAJ COSTERWALDAU: JAIME’S TEARS FOR THE END
F rom the rst season to the - nale of the series, Jaime Lan-
nister has come a long way – from the most despised character to someone we’re cheer- ing on. Along with him, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who portrays this character, has also come a long way – to the status of a Hollywood star. He spoke ex- clusively for Elevate about the nal season of this biggest ever TV spectacle, and why he thinks that such a series will never be repeated. It is interesting that more than a year was needed to shoot six episodes... - Yes, it took twice as long to shoot these six episodes than to shoot a normal season. This is linked to the volume of things we did during that time. That’s unprecedented for television and even for many lms, in terms of the num- ber of people involved in the shooting and the number of characters in the series. Filming scenes with so many people takes a long time. Was it dicult?
- At one point, the team worked for more than 50 consecutive nights and still had smiles on their faces. That was a crazy nal season. But all of us – both those behind the camera and those in front – were determined to complete the series in the right way. Have you acquired any special skills that you didn’t have? - I’m better at horse riding, that’s for sure. I also use my left hand better. And you become technically better at acting; when you shoot for so long you develop an increasingly bet- ter understanding of the technical aspect of implementing action scenes... What was your last day like; the last scene you shot? - I can’t talk about the scenes, but it was the perfect end to the entire experience of shooting this series. A beautiful day, Northern Ireland, a great team, a great scene. By this point I’ve seen many fare- well speeches in the series, and I always wondered why people become so emotional? I thought that was ridiculous and that I’m too tough for that. And then they give you this beautifully framed section of the script – mine was about the time my hand was severed. On the back they wrote a few beautiful words and I suddenly felt my face becoming wet. I thought: God, I must have caught a cold [laughs].

To mi mnogo znači! Koja ti se konkurentska pesma do- pada?
