Famous Yugoslav actor and artist Rade Šerbedžija will perform with his “Western Station” orchestra at Belgrade’s Kombank Hall on 26 th December from 8.30pm. With this concert, entitled “My soul doesn’t part from you”, Rade promises an evening of music and romantic lyrics, while the special guest of the concert will be Damir Urban. This Belgrade concert will be the first in a mini tour of Serbia.

ŠTA UVEK IMATE UZ SEBE U AVIONU?
KOJA VAM JE DESTINACIJA OSTALA U PAM ENJU? Pamtim jedan odlazak na Rodos dok je moj sin Miloš još bio mali. Tada smo iznajmili otvo- reni džip i obilazili smo celo ostrvo, svaki dan. Sve plaže smo obišli, razne uvale, skrivene plaže, vodopade. Pamtim Dolinu leptirova. Ove godine sam bila na Kritu i fascinirana sam tirkiznim morem i plažama sa roze peskom. To je nešto najlepše što sam videla. WHICH DESTINATION HAS REMAINED FOREVER IN YOUR MEMORY? I remember one trip to Rhodes when my son, Miloš, was still a little boy. We rented an open-top jeep and toured the whole island, every day. We visited all the beaches, vari- ous bays, hidden beaches, waterfalls. I remember a valley of butterflies. I went to Crete this year and was fascinated by the turquoise sea and beaches of pink sand. That’s the prettiest thing I’ve ever seen.
WHAT DO YOU ALWAYS CARRY WITH YOU ABOARD A PLANE? I always carry a book, and also often read some script. I went to Australia twice in two years and carried all sorts, because the trip is so long. Otherwise, it’s oblig- atory for me to carry wet wipes, a pillow for my neck, fresh oxygen spray and socks.

Ja sam u Beograd došla kao veoma mlada. Tu sam stasala i odrasla. Živela sam kod tetke u Skadarliji i, kako sam bila baš mlada, nisam bila svesna koli- ki značaj ima taj deo grada. Kada sam došla, bila sam facinirana Beo- gradom, činilo mi se kao da sam pala u Pariz. Beograd je divan, tu su moji pri- jatelji, pozorište, sve… Volim Kalemeg- dan, ali i Novi Beograd. Volim da odem u Zemun, a obavezno se prošetam kejom.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT BELGRADE? I came to Belgrade when I was very young. It was there I found my feet and grew up. I lived with my aunt in Skadarlija [Bel- grade Bohemian Quarter], and – as I was young – I wasn’t aware of the great importance of that part of the city. I was fascinat-
ed with Belgrade when I first arrived; it was as though I’d turned up in Paris. Belgrade is wonderful; my friends are there, theatres, everything... I love Kalemegdan, but also New Belgrade. I love to go to Zemun, and there it’s mandatory for me to stroll along the quay.

Prag Svetsko prvenstvo u florbolu
Ako niste znali, florbol (floorball) jedan je od najmlađih sportova i predstavlja varijaciju hokeja i igra se u dvorani. Postoji čak i svetsko prvenstvo u ovom sportu, a ove godine to takmičenje biće održano u Pragu od 1. do 9. decembra u arenama Sparta i O2. Na prvenstvu će se takmičiti timovi 16 zemalja, a zanimljivo je da je sport nastao sedamdesetih godina 20. veka u Švedskoj. Inače, florbol je danas najviše zastupljen u Švajcarskoj, Finskoj, Švedskoj i Češkoj.

Prague Floorball world championships
In case you didn’t know, floorball is one of the world’s youngest sports and represents a version of hockey that’s played indoors. This new sport even has its own world championships, which will this year take place in Prague from 1 st to 9 th December, at the city’s ‘Sparta’ and ‘O2’ arenas, and will include 16 competing countries. Interestingly, this sport originated in the 1970s in Sweden and is today most popular in Switzerland, Finland, Sweden and Czechia.

Amsterdam All the Rembrandts
Amsterdam’s famous Rijksmuseum is set to commemorate the 350 th anniversary of the death of great painter Rembrandt, which culminates at the end of the year, with the opening of an exhibition called “All the Rembrandts”. The exhibition will run from 15 th February to 10 th June 2019, as part of the Year of Rembrandt, and will include all the works of this Dutch master that are in the possession of this museum. The works on display will include 22 paintings, 60 drawings and more than 300 prints, while the Rijksmuseum claims that this exhibition will be a once- in-a-lifetime experience for visitors.

P opular young Serbian actor Miloš Biković has become the face of Air Serbia’s new marketing campaign, which – under the slogan“Have it your way”- aims to present all the advan- tages of personalised travel with the Serbian national carrier. “In this new campaign we wish to ensure our passengers are bet- ter acquainted with the numerous options at their disposal, which are designed to allow them to fully personalise their travel and cre- ate a journey to their liking and needs. We believe we have found the right way to go about exceeding the expectations of our passengers in terms of their travel with Air Serbia. Bajaga causes a rumpus at the Arena Rock band Bajaga and Instruktori, as part of promotions of their current album “Rumpus in the Hall”, will stage a major concert in Belgra- de on 1st December (from 9pm) at the Belgra- de Štark Arena. This will be their second per- formance in the region’s biggest hall. They first filled the Arena in December 2006, while this solo concert in Belgrade will take place five and a half years after their unforgettable 2013 Kale- megdan spectacle. Alongside plenty of old hits and songs from the new album, band members also announce special surprises for their fans. Znajte da u najluđoj noći temperatura ume da se spusti i do 30 stepeni ispod nule, ali uz toplu odeću i obuću i poneku čašicu votke zimu skoro da nećete osetiti. Glavni doček tradicionalno se održava u srcu Moskve, na čuve- nom Crvenom trgu. Očaraće vas ogromna šljašteća jelka, Deda Mraz sa saonicama i prodavci toplih na- pitaka, a vatromet iznad Kremlja i Hrama Vasilija Blaženog pamti se celog života. Budite spremni na gužvu i gledajte da mesto nađete ranije. U suprotnom, spustite se do zaleđene reke Moskve, s mo- sta Patrijarši pogled na vatromet biće podjednako spektakularan. Nadomak Crvenog trga je ulica Tverskaja, gde do mile volje može- te đuskati uz najrazličitije ritmove. Zabavu ćete naći i u moskovskim parkovima, koji u ludoj noći nude za svakog ponešto. U Gorki parku je najveće skijalište u Moskvi i brdo za snoubord, a uz svetske di-džeje- ve garantovan je provod do zore. Prošetajte se i do ostalih moskov- skih parkova – Sokolniki, Viktori, Muzeon. Osvojiće vas igra svetla, lasera i ledenih skulptura, narav- no, sve uz dobru muziku. Ako ste pak zimogrožljivi, po- oskvu treba videti baš u vreme novogo- dišnjih praznika, ka- da blista prekrivena častite se večerom u nekom od broj- nih restorana. Ponuda je šarena, ali preporuka je da probate tradi- cionalnu novogodišnju trpezu: ru- sku salatu, haringu, šampanjac, kao i praseće pečenje, kavijar, pihtije. I ne propustite domaći običaj da u ponoć na papiriću zapišete že- lju, zatim ga upalite, ubacite u ča- šu šampanjca i popijte naiskap.
M oscow is a place you should see precisely during the time of the New Year’s holidays, when it glistens with snow covering its charm shines to the max. One of the world’s most beautiful cities is even more beautiful during winter, making it an ideal destination for those who love the spirit of olden times, while it also has plen- ty to offer those who like to party‘til dawn. Moscow is grandiose in its entirety, and thus so are its celebrations of New Year’s Eve. You should know that temperatures dur- ing that wildest night can fall to as low as minus 30 degrees Celsius, but with warm clothes and footwear, and the odd glass of vodka, you’ll barely feel the winter chill. The main celebration is traditionally held in the heart of Moscow, on the famous Red Square. You will be enchanted by the huge glittering fir tree, Father Christmas with his sleigh and sellers of hot drinks,
while the fireworks display above the Krem- lin and Saint Basil’s Cathedral is something you’ll remember for the rest of your life. Be prepared for large crowds and seek to find a place earlier. Alternatively, head down to the frozen River Moskva, where the Patri- arshy Bridge provides an equally spectac- ular view of the fireworks. Alongside Red Square is Tverskaya Street, where you can dance to your heart’s content to the most varied rhythms. You will also find fun in Moscow’s parks, which offer something for everyone during this crazy night. Gorky Park has the largest ski resort in Moscow and a hill for snowboard- ing, with the sounds of Djs from around the world guaranteeing a good time un- til dawn. Walk to Moscow’s other parks too – Sokolniki, Victory and Fallen Mon- ument Park. You will be won over by the dance of lights, lasers and ice sculptures – all, of course, to the accompaniment of good music. However, if you’re not a fan of wintry weather, treat yourself to dinner at one of the city’s many restaurants. The offer is var- ied, but it is recommended that you try the traditional New Year’s spread: Russian salad, herring, champagne, but also roast pork, caviar and aspic. And don’t miss out on the local custom of writing down a wish on a piece of paper at midnight, then setting it alight, placing it in a glass of champagne and downing it in one gulp.

It’s a dream of many to kiss a loved one on Times Square precisely at midnight, with millions of people all around and mandatory red caps on their heads. A magical fireworks display is held there every year and watched on televisions worldwide. The countdown begins at a min- ute to midnight, followed by the lowering of the huge ball containing more than two thou- sand crystals and weighing almost six tonnes. The euphoria at this world intersection reach- es its peak when this ball touches the ground. And don’t worry if you miss out on this spec- tacle. New Year’s Eve in New York is the right time to enjoy any of the numerous concerts of top musicians, from the Lincoln Center to the mu- sic halls of the Lower East Side. The most diverse New Year’s menus await you in wonderful res- taurants – all that’s left for you is to find the one that’s to your liking and book your place in ad- vance. You’ll find sizzling fun ‘til dawn at any of the clubs and bars, but be sure to enquire as to what your reservation includes. At some venues a reservation implies unlimited drinks, while else- where it can include food or just enough cham- pagne to toast the arrival of the new year. Ulti- mately, everything boils down to getting what you’ve paid for when the price is right. You can also await the arrival of 1 st Janu- ary aboard one of the cruise ships in New York Harbor. Choose between luxury yachts, leisurely socialising with drinks aboard a boat or a fam- ily cruise around the harbour.
