3.3 Socioeconomic Variables Table 3-1 shows historical and forecast socioeconomic variable sources, terms and release dates. Subsections 3.3.1-3.3.7 discuss historical and forecast trends for population, employment, unemployment rates, real per capita personal income, real gross domestic/regional product, inflation, and fuel prices. Note that the latest available MD SDC income data are from 2015, which are a decade old, although employment was updated in 2022 and population in March 2025.
