Dragačevski sabor trubača, tradicionalna festivalska manifestacija koja se svake godine održava u gradiću Guči, u Dragačevu, u regionu zapadne Srbije, svakog avgusta dovodi gotovo milion posetilaca iz Srbije i inostranstva u gradić od 2.000 stanovnika. Guča je postala poznata u celom svetu kao mesto održavanja najvećeg festivala duvačke muzike širom planete. Otkako je 1831. godine knez Miloš Obrenović oformio prvi vojni trubački orkestar, truba je postala deo kulture i tradicije. Doživite trubu od 9. do 12. avgusta. The Guča Trumpet Festival, or Dragačevo Gathering of Trumpeters, a traditional event held every year in the little town of Guča, Dragačevo, in the region of Western Serbian, brings almost a million visitors from Serbia and around the world to a town of just 2,000 inhabitants every August. Guča has become famous worldwide as the venue of the planet’s largest trumpet music festival. Since Prince Miloš Obrenović commissioned the first military trumpet band in 1831, the trumpet has become part of Serbian culture and tradition. Experience the trumpet from 9 th to 12 th August.

Nenad Radujević is director and founder of Fashion Studio Click, the first private fashion agency on the territory of the former Yugoslavia. He is the author of the Belgrade Fashion Week project. Through his work on fashion presentations, he has introduced a series of innovations and new standards to the domestic market. For this issue he takes us to Berlin Fashion Week.

Bojana Andrić je višestruko nagrađivani dramaturg, scenarista, istoričar televizije, televizijski urednik, autor i reditelj. U Igranom programu Televizije Beograd je od 1971. kao dramaturg i urednik radila na više desetina drama i dramskih serija. U ovom broju vodi nas kroz 60 godina televizije u Srbiji. Bojana Andrić is a multi-award-winning playwright, screenwriter, television historian, television editor, author and director. Within the entertainment programming of Television Belgrade since 1971, she worked as a writer and editor on dozens of drama productions and serials. For this issue she guides us through the 60 years of television in Serbia.

Violeta Nedeljković je novinarka specijalizovana za zdravstvene teme , ali zdravstvo i alternativne tehnike nisu njena jedina preokupacija. Violeta Nedeljković is a journalist specialising in health issues, but health and alternative techniques are not her only preoccupation. She likes stories with soul, dynamism and those that are slightly mystical, just like the story you will read in this issue of Elevate. It is about Soko Grad, and few people are aware that this place is in a way a testimony to German- Serbian friendship.

WHY DO YOU LOVE PLANES? - Because they carry me faraway and because, when I was a little, planes were a symbol of luxury – flying

Umesto da otkrivam neke druge gradove i destinacije, ja moram u Rim, koji mi je kao psihološka banja, potre- ban mi je za mentalnu stabilnost. To je neka posebna veza, dovoljno je sa- mo da vidim taj čarobni grad, da osetim ukuse i mirise i da se osetim sreć- nom. Mada pamtim i put na Karibe i krstarenje tim delom sveta. To je zaista bilo egzotično. WHICH OF YOUR TRAVELS HAVE REMAINED IN YOUR MEMORY? - Rome, always. I spent some time living there due to my studies, so I have a need to constantly return. Instead of discovering other cities and destina- tions, I must go to Rome. It is like my psychological spa, necessary for my mental stability. That’s some kind of special connection, it’s enough just for me to see that magical city, to feel its flavours and scents, to feel happy. Al- though I do also recall my journey to the Caribbean and cruising that part of the world. That was really exotic.

Rim Putovanje kroz vreme u Koloseumu

Rome Journey through time at the Colosseum A new multimedia show, entitled Sangue e Arena , converts Rome’s Colosseum into a time machine and transports tourists back to the time of the first games to be held in this amphitheatre. Special lighting, holograms, and state-of-the-art visual and sound effects are designed to convincingly show the games organised by Emperor Titus Flavius Vespasian, which encompassed gladiatorial battles, fights between wild animals and horse races. Visitors can experience this unusual show, in Italian and English, every Thursday, Friday and Saturday until 27 th October. Dubrovnik Four ladies, one show Enchanting vocals, exquisite taste for costume design and two acoustic guitars are just part of what makes the band The Frajle special. In a short period of time, this all-girl band has won over audiences across the region, and Dubrovnik residents will be able to enjoy their hits on 31 st August. The concert will be held in the Sloboda cinema, giving the audience an opportunity to hear live renditions of songs from the band’s latest album “Love as a Gift”. This music that conquers audiences wherever they perform is described by The Frajle as a fusion of Vojvodina mixed with the Mediterranean, but also with tones from east and west.

Posebno osvetljenje, hologrami, najsavremeniji vizuelni i zvučni efekti osmišljeni su tako da verno prikažu igre koje je organizovao car Tit Flavije Vespazijan, a u okviru kojih su bile gladijatorske borbe, borbe divljih životinja i trke konja. Ovaj nesvakidašnji šou na italijanskom i engleskom jeziku posetioci mogu da vide svakog četvrtka, petka i subote sve do 27. oktobra. Dubrovnik Četiri dame, jedan šou Očaravajući vokali, izvrstan ukus za kostime i dve akustične gitare samo su deo onoga što bend The Frajle čini posebnim. Za kratko vreme ovaj ženski sastav osvojio je publiku u regionu, a Dubrovčani će u njihovim hitovima moći da uživaju 31. avgusta. Koncert će se održati u kinu Sloboda , a publika će imati priliku uživo da čuje pesme sa njihovog novog albuma Ljubav na dar . Inače, The Frajle svoju muziku, kojom osvajaju publiku gde god da se pojave, opisuju kao spoj Vojvodine i Mediterana, ali sa prizvucima Istoka i Zapada.

Berlin Evropsko prvenstvo u atletici

Nemačka prestonica biće domaćin 24. Evropskog prvenstva u atletici, koje će se održati od 7. do 12. avgusta. Oko 1.600 atletičara iz više od 50 zemalja takmičiće se u 47 disciplina na Olimpijskom stadionu, a maskota prvenstva biće medved Berlino, koji je prvi put predstavljen 2009. godine na Svetskom prvenstvu u Berlinu. Ovo je treći put da se prvenstvo Evrope u atletici održava u Nemačkoj, posle Štutgarta 1986. i Minhena 2002. godine.

Berlin European Athletics Championships

The German capital is hosting the 24 th European Athletics Championships from 7 th to 12 th August. The event will include around 1,600 athletes from over 50 countries competing in 47 disciplines at the Olympic Stadium, while the championship’s mascot will be the bear Berlino, who was first introduced at the 2009 World Championships in Berlin. This is the third time that the European Athletics Championships have been held in Germany, following Stuttgart in 1986 and Munich in 2002.

Ako se pokaže da ture izazivaju interesovanje, Luvr će uvesti i obilaske na drugim jezicima.

Paris In the footsteps of Beyoncé and Jay-Z The Louvre in Paris, one of the world’s most visited museums, is now organising tours dedicated to singer Beyoncé and rapper Jay-Z, who shot their latest “Apeshit” video there. The tour is currently only available in French, and over the course of 90 minutes it covers 17 artworks shown in the video – starting from the Mona Lisa, via Nike with its swoosh, to the Portrait of a Black Woman. If the tour generates interest, the Louvre will also introduce it in other languages.

Čarter-brend Aviolet obavio je re- kordnih 749 letova i prevezao 174.000 putnika do popularnih turističkih de- stinacija u Grčkoj, Turskoj, Španiji, Italiji i Tunisu, a Er Srbija nastavlja da beleži dvocifreni godišnji rast i kada je u pitanju prevoz tereta. The national airline re- ported net profits of €15.7 million for 2017, representing an increase of €14.8 million compared to 2016. In its fourth year of operations, the airline’s total operating income reached €288 million. Based on detailed business analysis, and thanks to a new approach and measures, operating costs were reduced by 7%, while sales revenues simultaneously increased by 4%.

The total number of passengers carried by Air Serbia in 2017 remained in line with the previous year. Despite the airline consol- idating its network and facing a sharp increase in competition, Air Serbia has welcomed more than 2.62 million guests. The Serbi- an national airline’s pas- senger carrying capaci- ty, measured in Available Seat Kilometres (ASKs), in- creased by four per cent to 4.24 billion by year’s end 2017. Despite an enhanced capacity following the in- troduction of new Recaro seats to the Airbus fleet, the average seat load fac- tor – a measure of capac- ity utilisation – rose by a further percentage point from 72.4% in 2016, to 73.4% in 2017.

Last year also saw a record 749 Aviolet charter flights, with 174,000 guests travelling to popular destinations in Greece, Turkey, Spain, Italy and Tunisia. On the cargo front, Air Serbia continued to post double-digit annual growth figures, ship- ping 6,158 tonnes of freight and mail in 2017, equating to a 25.3% increase in total uplift compared to 2016.

PARTNERSHIP WITH ETIHAD TO BE CONTINUED Air Serbia and Etihad Airways agreed that the equi- ty partnership between the two airlines will contin- ue. Etihad continues to own 49 per cent of Air Ser- bia and remains a fully committed and supportive shareholder in partnership with Air Serbia’s majori- ty shareholder, the Government of Serbia. Robin Kamark, Etihad Aviation Group’s Chief Ex- ecutive Officer for Equity Partners, said: “Etihad is honoured to have been able to help build Air Ser- bia into what it is today. We are looking forward to the next phase of our equity partnership as an en- gaged and supportive shareholder and cooper- ation partner”. RE/MAX also has an outfit in Montenegro, where it runs five offices. We talked with Kevin Buttigieg, CEO of RE/ MAX Malta and founder of RE/MAX Monte- negro, about the challenges in the Monte- negrin real estate market and his expecta- tions for future business. You have 29 offices in Malta and five in Montenegro. Is it hard to run a compa- ny in different countries with so many offices and employees? Our experience of working in small ju- risdictions has prepared us for dealing with the challenges put forward by such mar- kets, and I am certain that we do have the ability to overcome them. Wherever we do business, we strive to raise the standard of services in the real estate market to higher levels. When we founded RE/MAX in Mal- ta, we had only a few offices, and today we are one of the most successful regions in RE/ MAX Europe. I must say that we have a great team and, if we stick with the structure we have in Malta, then Montenegro will repli- cate the success. It won’t be easy but our team is ready for the challenge. When do you think the Balkan be- came an interesting market and what prompted this the most? The real estate market has been increas- ingly stable and growing in recent years. Lower interest rates are also partially respon- sible. The Mediterranean coast in itself has a strong allure —more than the rest of Europe — but real estate market growth is driven by several factors. This primarily includes tourism development, infrastructure invest- ments, and Life style projects that attract in- vestors. If the investments are on the rise, this signals that Balkan countries’economies are sound, which is indeed the main pre- requisite for the real estate market to grow. Do you expect that your network will be able to incite interest among pros- pects from other countries for the Mon- tenegrin market? This definitely is our plan. People around the world like to do business with well-known brands. First of all, this provides them with a sense of security and protec- tion. We at RE/MAX comply with stringent standards and ethics. We have educated ourselves already by studying the market for last 18 months before we’ve decided to open offices. We have to be precise in what we are doing and make sure we get it right from day one. So far, the feedback we have gotten from our local and foreign clients in Malta is amazing and we have also been in- undated with request from our colleagues around the world. What parts of the world do you expect your clients to come from? I believe that with the right means and good relationships with developers, strategy, and marketing, we will reach a point where we are able to appeal to cli- ents from Northern Europe, North America, Africa, South Africa, UAE, Middle East, Asia, and the rest of the world. There’s plenty of room for advancement, which is a great bonus. Montenegro being such a beau- tiful and young country is very attractive for any investor.

Ako investicije rastu, to je znak da je ekonomija zemalja na Balkanu stabilna, a to i jeste glavni preduslov za razvoj tržišta nekretnina. Da li očekujete da ćete kroz vašu mrežu uspjeti da zainteresuje- te potencijalne kupce iz drugih zemalja za crnogorsko tržište? – To je definitivno naš plan. Lju-

di širom svijeta vole da posluju sa poznatim imenom. Prije svega jer im to daje osjećaj sigurnosti i za- štićenosti. Mi u RE/MAX-u imamo visok nivo etičnosti i visoko po- stavljene standarde. Moramo biti jasni i precizni u našem poslova- nju od prvog dana. Prije nego što smo uopšte odlučili da otvorimo kancelarije, poslednjih 18 mjeseci posvetili smo se boljem upoznava- nju i istraživanju crnogorskog tr- žišta. Reakcije koje dobijamo ka- ko od lokalnih tako i od inostranih klijenata sa Malte su jako pozitiv- ne, a naročito od naših kolega ši- rom svijeta. Iz kojih zemalja svijeta očeku- jete klijente? – Vjerujem da ćemo, uz prava sred- stva i odnose sa graditeljima kao i stra- tegiju i marketing, biti u mogućnosti da dovedemo klijente iz Sjeverne Evro- pe, Sjeverne Amerike, Afrike, Južne Afrike, UAE, Srednjeg istoka i Azije i ostatka svijeta. Postoji dosta prostora za napredovanje što je veliki bonus. Crna Gora je prelijepa, mlada drža- va, a takve zemlje su jako privlačne za investitore.

BELGRADE BEER FEST: MORE THAN A FESTIVAL Belgrade Beer Fest is the largest beer & music festival in so- utheast Europe. A-list performers and a wide selection of high-quality local and foreign beer draws record crowds. Total attendance over the course of the five-day event rea- ches half a million visitors over a period of five days, as the festival has a free admission policy. Several thousand vi- sitors from abroad attend the festival, which has become one of Belgrade’s key events on the tourist calendar. The festival promotes tolerance and open borders, whi- le the urban spirit of the new generation also forms part of the enduring ideas of this festival. Belgrade Beer Fest is open to new ideas and new ways of promoting Serbia as an attractive tourist destination, with a positive busine- ss climate conducive to the creative industries. This is why the 16 th annual Belgrade Beer Fest, which takes place on the Ušće confluence from 15 th to 19 th August, carries the slogan: More Than a Festival. The public will this year be able to enjoy another stellar li- ne-up, featuring legendary British punk rockers The Stran- glers and music diva Roisin Murphy. Apart from fans of mu- sic, beer lovers will also enjoy themselves and can expect the widest selection of brand-name and craft beers from the re- gion, as well as recommended beer from around the wor- ld in designated festival zones:“Gostionica”,“Craft land”and “Embassy of Beer”. The festival expands its offer each year, constantly adding innovations and surprises, so the messa- ge is the same for everyone:“Expect the unexpected”!

BELGRADE BEER FEST: VIŠE OD FESTIVALA

Belgrade Beer Fest je najmasovniji pivsko-muzički fe- stival u jugoistočnoj Evropi. Za pet dana, koliko traje, poseti ga više od pola miliona ljudi, a takvu posećenost festival ima zahvaljujući osnovnim principima – besplat- nom ulazu, izuzetnom muzičkom programu i širokoj po- nudi domaćih i inostranih pivskih brendova. Širenje tolerancije, otvorene granice, kao i urbani duh novih generacija osnovne su trajne ideje ovog festivala. Belgrade Beer Fest je otvoren za nove ideje koje donose mladi ljudi u pronalaženju novih načina za unapređenje promocije Srbi- je u inostranstvu kao moderne zemlje, atraktivne turističke destinacije i zemlje u kojoj vlada pozitivna klima za razvoj biznisa i kreativne industrije. Zato ovogodišnji 16. Belgrade Beer Fest , koji će održati od 15. do 19. avgusta na Ušću, sa pravom će se održati pod sloganom Više od festivala . Ove godine publika će moći besplatno da uživa u kon- certima grupe The Stranglers i muzičke dive Rošin Marfi, čije nastupe organizatori sa ponosom najavlju- ju. Osim ljubitelja dobre muzike, uživaće i pivski slado- kusci, koje očekuje najveći izbor industrijskih i kraft pi- va iz regiona, kao i piva sa preporukom iz celog sveta u okviru festivalskih zona Gostionica , Craft land i Emba - ssy of Beer . Svake godine organizatori se brojnim novi- tetima predstavljaju u sve boljem izdanju, pa je za sve posetioce poruka ista – „Očekujte neočekivano“!
