MAYOR’S MESSAGE

As we welcome a new season of recreation programs in Tillsonburg, there’s plenty to look forward to across our community. I’m excited to share that aquatics programming is returning to the Tillsonburg Community Centre following maintenance work on the indoor pool. During the closure, many programs were temporarily relocated to the outdoor pool at Lake Lisgar Water Park, and we appreciate everyone’s flexibility and patience throughout the transition. We’re looking forward to welcoming swimmers and families back indoors this season. We’d also like to thank residents for their patience while the new pickleball courts were installed this past summer. The courts have quickly become a popular addition to our recreation offerings, and if you’re ready to get in the game, be sure to check out the upcoming Pickleball Tournament happening September 15. As we kick off the fall and winter season, Annandale National Historic Site is preparing an exciting lineup of family-friendly events and activities. From trick-or-treating and escape rooms to woodworking workshops and the annual tree lighting on the lawn, there will be something for everyone in the family to enjoy throughout the season. Remember, you can stay connected and up to date by using the Town of Tillsonburg app. Receive news, program updates, service alerts and more delivered right to your mobile device.

SWIM LESSONS

66

About our preschool and youth swimming lessons...

• Levels are progressive. If you are unsure of what level to register in, please contact us at aquatics@tillsonburg.ca or call 519.688.9011. • Children who are not toilet trained must wear a swim diaper, available for purchase at Customer Service Desk • Parents/guardians are welcome to observe lessons from the upper-level Pool Viewing Area in order to maintain Public Health guidelines. Exceptions requiring pool deck access may be approved by a Supervisor. • If you have questions regarding your child’s progress or lessons, see the Lesson Supervisor on Deck. • We don’t offer make-up classes for lessons missed.

• On occasion, the pool may be closed due to fouling. The pool will re-open once the water chemistry is balanced. If a pool fouling occurs during instructional lessons, we will provide a dry land lesson where possible, or provide each participant with a class credit. • Left something behind on your last visit? All found items are held for 2 weeks. After 2 weeks, items are donated to a local charitable organization. • If you miss the last day of lessons, report cards can be claimed at the Customer Service desk. Report cards will be held for 4 weeks from the last lesson date.

Aquatic user fees are included in all aquatic program memberships and admissions. This money helps fund capital projects and improvements.
