INTRODUCTION TO SQUARE DANCING Square dancing is a social folk dance for four couples (eight people) arranged in a square, guided by a caller who directs a series of movements to music. It is a collaborative activity where teamwork is essential, and the music can range from traditional styles to modern pop hits. The Campania region of Italy is rich in culture, food and wine, music, architecture, and archaeological sites. The wines are still made from grape varieties introduced by the Greeks in the fifth century BCE: a white Greco, with herbal and stone-fruit flavours; the rich, fruit red Aglianico; and a white Fiano, with floral flavours.
