The township has asked permission for ATVS to drive along County Road 14 from the Concession 10 intersection to the County Road 10 junction, and on County Road 10 from the Village of St-Eugène to the Moore Road intersection. The committee will forward its recommendations to a future UCPR council session. – Gregg Chamberlain LOAN APPROVALS Champlain Township council approved a bylaw authorizing loan applications for purchase of a new snowplow for the public works department and purchase of about 18 acres of land for an extension of the township’s commercial business park. The total loan is for $633,630, with the money borrowed through the Ontario Infrastructure and Lands Corporation (OILC), with a repay- ment period of 10 years. This provincial government municipal program provides municipalities with capital loans. Après avoir été conseillère pendant deux mandats au poste numéro 4 de la municipalité de Grenville, Jocelyne Louis-Seize entend maintenant occuper le fauteuil 6 à la faveur de l’élection partielle du 7 avril. « Je suis une fille de Grenville, mon village me tient à cœur, je m’implique beaucoup dans plusieurs conseils d’administration et je veux tenter ma chance », a laissé entendre Mme Louis-Seize. L’ancienne directrice des écoles primaires du village est en effet membre des organismes communautaires Horizon d’Or, Club Fadoq V’là l’bon temps, Bon déjeuner d’Argenteuil et le Centre d’entraide d’Argenteuil. &MMF TFOHBHF Æ BTTVSFS VOF TBJOF administration du village et un suivi rigoureux des différents dossiers. Se prononçant sur ce qui la démarque des autres candidats, elle promet de contribuer à une vision différente parce que, « je suis la seule femme », a-t-elle souligné. « J’étais à l’écoute des gens » Pour Mme Louis-Seize, ses atouts résident également dans son expérience municipale et ses 35 ans de carrière dans l’enseignement. « Quand j’étais conseillère, j’étais présente, j’étais à l’écoute des gens, a-t-elle reconnu. Je suis honnête, intègre et disponible. J’ai travaillé avec M. Grondin (Luc) et je connais aussi M. Thauvette (Pierre). Ça me ferait plaisir de travailler avec les gens qui sont là. »

L’Union Culturelle des Franco-Ontariennes est à la recherche D’ANIMATRICES pour offrir des ateliers aux personnes aidantes Vous avez déjà animé des ateliers. Vous êtes à la retraite ou semi-retraitée à la recherche de quelques heures de travail rémunéré. Vous êtes ou avez été une personne aidante, avec quelques heures de libres par mois qui aimerait se changer les idées, jaser avec d’autres francophones et êtes disponibles à offrir du soutien à des personnes dans votre communauté. L’Union Culturelle des Franco-Ontariennes vous attend avec sonprojet : «Vivre comme personnes aidantes ». Nous sommes aussi à la recherche de personnes-ressources pour soutenir les efforts de développement de cercles de soutien pour les personnes aidantes. Nous vous formerons pour animer un atelier «Vivre comme personnes aidantes », destiné aux personnes aidantes francophones ou celles qui désirent les soutenir et leur offrir du répit. Une formation sera aussi offerte aux personnes-ressources de cercles de soutien, pour les personnes aidantes. Une formation d’une journée et demie aura lieu mai 2018 dans votre région. Les dates et les lieux seront déterminés selon les candidates sélectionnées. Notez que les personnes aidantes incluent tous les genres. JOIN OUR TEAM C.H. Clément Construction is currently looking for an experienced Construction Project Coordinator at its Hawkesbury headquarters. We are a well established residential new- home construction company with development projects in several municipalities including Rockland, Cornwall and Russell. This exciting opportunity requires an individual to work jointly with a team in the planning, viability, development and the execution of residential construction projects. You will review and analyze architectural plans and liaise with architects and engineers to analyze, plan, follow and deliver on various construction projects. You will collaborate with the Municipalities in obtaining building permits and will effectively collect quotes and negotiate with suppliers in order to obtain the best prices as per the allocated budgets. You will participate in the development of project schedules and you will ensure that your deliverables are on time. You will take pride in the administration of your P.O.s and job codes and you will contribute by providing monthly analysis of the job sites related to your section of work. Exigences • Education – A University degree or College diploma in Engineering or related field; • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in the residential construction industry. • Proven knowledge of materials, methods and equipment involved in structural works and in the development of subdivisions • Experience in reading and interpreting architectural plans and contract requirements. • Ability to analyze information and evaluate results to recommend the best solutions and solve problems • Ideal candidate must be highly organized with excellent verbal and written communications skills. • Must be able to lead as well as work as part of larger team. Try adopting these three strategies: 1. CUSTOMIZE YOUR RESUME Sending out targeted resumes and cover letters to pro- spective employers is a must. This manoeuvre requires indicating how your particular qualifications bear on the specific hiring criteria and demonstrating how your experiences align with the job. Three tips for showcasing soft skills on your resume
By defining your skills on your resume, you’re letting employers and recruiters know why you’re going to succeed in the job they’re trying to fill. While it’s im- portant to list your hard skills — technical proficien- cies you likely learned in school or in a prior position you held— it’s just as essential to showcase your soft skills—personal traits that indicate how you interact with others. Here are three tips for effectively present- ing soft skills on your resume. Only include relevant soft skills. Care- fully look over the job posting and see which of the sought-after soft skills are ones you can lay claim to. You should also infer which additional soft skills are valued by the company or are relevant to the role by studying the job description, looking at the company website and researching the specifics of the position. 2.Set apart your soft skills. If you have an ample number of both hard and soft skills, present them in separate sections, which you might label respectively as “technical skills”and “additional skills.”This way, busy employers will see them when doing an initial scan of your resume. 3.Demonstrate your soft skills in action. Make sure to also weave your soft skills into the descriptions of your previous jobs. It’s easy to say you have a skill: 1.
