La comédie Rond Point , présentée dans l’intimité de l’amphithéâtre de l’école, prendra également l’affiche les 20 et 21 avril. L’action se situe à Limou, village fictif où les habitants se confortent dans leurs habitudes solidement ancrées. L’éventualité du changement surviendra pourtant sous la forme d’une proposition d’un projet immobilier qui viendrait bouleverser leur vie sans surprise. Bien que le projet est loufoque, les habitants auraient pu se questionner sur les retombées économiques ou les impacts écologiques notamment. Mais ce n’est pas là l’enjeu du scénario, précise Nicolas Lacelle, à la barre de la troupe depuis plus de 10 ans et enseignant de théâtre au sein de la concentration Art et culture de l’ESCP. « On aurait pu en faire undébat politique mais cela n’aurait pas servi les objectifs de la pièce. On a plutôt voulu amener la réflexion, même si je suis bien dans ma vie, est- ce que je ne pourrais pas regarder ailleurs? On a voulu montrer les deux côtés. Ici, les gens ont pris une bonne décision malgré eux mais ils sont tellement confortables dans leurs pantoufles que la plupart n’ont même pas posé de questions. » Les comédiens, Benoit Bisson, Marie- Pier Chayer-Demers, Jasmine Desforges, Daniel Foucault, Alexandra Gauthier, Sarah Gauthier-Senécal, Patrick Gendron, Maxim Guilbault, Lisa Langevin, Kim Leduc et Enya Turgeon font ici honneur aux auteurs et livrent une brillante performance répartie sur 26 tableaux et
autant de scènes de transition. La mise en scène minimaliste mise sur le jeu et les acteurs n’ont qu’un accessoire par scène pour créer l’atmosphère appropriée. Un peu comme pour l’improvisation, ils se doivent d’entraîner le spectateur dans leur univers imaginaire, ce qu’ils font très bien d’ailleurs. Les services conseils du comédien et scénariste Vincent Poirier, fondateur de la troupe Improtéine , entre autres, ont été retenus pour cette création. Ainsi, l’histoire évolue en trame de fond mais chaque tableau met en relief un aspect des travers du quotidien, des thèmes aussi intemporels qu’universels comme la quête de l’amour, les influences au seindu couple, lacompétitionentrevoisinsetbiend’autres. Difficile de ne pas s’y reconnaître et de rire un peu de soi-même au détour. Les scènes de transition, quant à elles, symbolisent la routine quotidienne du village et sont aussi cocasses qu’attendues. Rond Point , titre qui correspond bien à ces gens qui tournent en rond, sera donc la 12 e création de la troupe. Écrite par Amilie Parenteau, Simon-Olivier Péladeau-Houle, Félicia DeRepentigny, Kalina Parisien- Cadieux et Lovanie Leroux avec la collaboration d’Anne Parent et de Vincent Poirier, elle fera ses premières armes lors du festival de théâtre en milieu scolaire à Ottawacettesemaine,avantd’êtreprésentée en première officielle à l’ÉSCP, le 19 avril à 19 h et les 20 et 21 avril à 20 h. Boudria écrivait « Ce projet est une belle occasion d’affaires et, de plus, permettra aux jeunes de la région de s’adonner à leur sport favori dans un endroit sécuritaire. » Depuis le 29 mars 2012, l’entreprise est enregistrée sous le nom Wheelers (enr. 220346209). Louise Barrette ne le cache pas, une telle entreprise nécessite un investissement important. « Pour arriver à convaincre les Dragons, je dois avoir beaucoup d’appui de la communauté ». Une résidente d’Alfred participera à l’émission de téléréalité Dragons’ Den le 28 avril prochain. LouiseBarretteaeneffetpiquélacuriosité des producteurs avec son idée d’un complexe multisportif qu’elle rêve de construire dans le secteur d’Orléans. Le centre regrouperait sous unmême toit une roulathèque et un parc de planche à roulettes. Ajoutez à cela une grande salle d’événements, de même qu’un simulateur de golf et un simulateur de tir au pistolet. Le centre hébergerait également un casse- croûte avec terrasse, un commerce de planche à roulettes, un gymnase ainsi qu’une garderie. « Ce serait un endroit unique parce qu’il n’existe aucun emplacement du genre dans les environs d’Ottawa. C’est pour toute la famille et ça encourage bien sûr l’activité physique et ce n’est pas ce qu’on est tous habituédevoiraveclesarénasetlespiscines locales. » Le concept architectural a déjà été conçu. L’édifice s’étendrait sur 80 000 pieds carrés dans le secteur de Taylor Creek, à Orléans. Au total, le projet est évalué à environ six millions de dollars. « Au départ, mon idée était de concevoir une roulathèque mais il fallait rejoindre un plus grand public. Donc, on a rajouté plus pour tous les goûts », a confié Louise Barrette. Celle-ci a toujours eu un penchant pour la roulathèque qui lui rappelle le bon vieux temps, soit l’époque disco. Après un voyage en Italie qui demeurera mémorable, 13 élèves de l’École secondaire catholiquedePlantagenetetleurenseignant de la Majeure Haute Spécialisation en Environnement Plein Air International partagent quelques grands moments de cette expédition. Pendant une dizaine de jours en mars, ce groupe a vécu un voyage inoubliable. Histoire, architecture, culture, environnement et, bien sûr, activités de plein air étaient au programme. Depuis 18 mois, ces élèves se préparaient pour ce voyage à travers l’enseignement, les activités de fins de semaine, les formations et la vie de groupe caractérisant un tel périple. Les élèves ont premièrement eu l’opportunité de visiter les vestiges de la RomeantiqueetdesonColisée,sansoublier un arrêt au Vatican. Au niveau environnemental, la visite d’un vignoble et la production d’olives et sesdérivésbiologiquesétaitauprogramme. Alors que certains élèves s’attendaient à voir une Venise romantique, force est d’admettre que les élèves ont été stupéfaits de réaliser à quel point cette capitale de la romance fait avant tout face à de sérieux problèmes d’humidité. Une excellente guide sur place a bien su leur expliquer comment Venise gère ses déchets et quelle est la vie et la réalité quotidienne
du Vénitien. « Un appareil photo peut prendre tant de photos, mais mes yeux n’oublieront jamais comment c’était vraiment. Ce fut un voyage mémorable », commente l’un d’eux. Quant aux parents eux aussi impliqués dans le processus depuis deux ans, assister au départ de leur enfant à l’étranger revêt une fierté certaine quant à l’implication et l’accomplissement de leur progéniture. « Nous sommes très satisfaits du voyage que notre fille a fait en Italie. C’était très bien organisé et le groupe avait été bien préparé pour ce voyage. Quelle belle expérience de vie! Pas seulement pour le voyage, mais aussi pour toutes les activités auxquelles les élèves ont eu la chance de participer tout au long du programme MHS Enviro Plein Air International. Tout équipement électronique ou électrique usagé peut être déposé du lundi au vendredi, entre 8 h 30 et 16 h au centre Recycle Action, 1301, avenue Spence. Aussi, Recycle Action sera ouvert les samedis, soit le 28 avril ainsi que les 5, 12, 19 et 26 mai 2012 de 9 h à 16 h. Des conteneurs se trouvent aussi à l’extérieur pour le dépôt de matériel après les heures d’ouverture. Jeanne Morand, qui opère la restaurant La Canadienne sur la Route 148 à Pointe- au-Chêne, était parmi les citoyens exprimant leurs frustrations lors de l’assemblée du conseil municipal de Grenville-sur-la-Rouge mardi. Disant qu’elle a perdu 70 pour cent de sa clientèle depuis le prolongement de l’autoroute 50, elle demande la permission d’installer une affiche sur la 50 afin d’annoncer son commerce. Le maire John Saywell a rassuré Mme Morand lui disant que la municipalité tente de tout faire afin d’attirer des gens dans la municipalité. Le directeur général, Pascal Surprenant, a dit que le chef des pompiers, Marc Montpetit et lui discuteront d’une autre plainte de Mme Morand.
