Letter from the Editor I am not an expert on many things. In fact, the older I get, the more I realize just how many things I don’t know. But one thing I do know – about myself – is what I’m good at. And one of the things I was great at was being married. Staci and I celebrated our 18th wed- ding anniversary about a week before she passed away. Like any marriage, ours wasn’t perfect. But it

was very good. It was steady. It was supportive. It was the kind of partnership where you knew you were on the same team no matter what. So, while I am by no means a trained expert on marriage, I am confident in saying I was a great husband. With this issue’s Spring Bridal Feature in mind, I thought I’d offer a little advice. Take it for what it’s worth. First: always have your spouse’s back. Publicly. Always. It doesn’t matter if the conversation involves your kids, your parents, their parents, friends, or anyone else. In the moment, your partner should know you’re on their side. Even if you’re not entirely sure they’re right. Even if you think they’re definitely not right. Support them in the moment. Then, later, when it’s just the two of you, talk it out if you need to. Things can be adjusted later. But that visible support in the moment matters more than people realize. Second: make time for each other. Once kids enter the picture, life becomes a whirlwind of sche- dules, activities, homework, sports, and trying to remember whose turn it is to bring snacks. It’s easy for couples to slip into logistics manager mode. I always thought of our time like this: 60 percent family time, 30 percent just the two of us, and 10 percent for yourself. That 10 percent matters because everyone needs a little breathing room. But that 30 percent is just as important. Date your spouse. Keep dating them, even after years of marriage. It keeps the relationship alive and reminds you that you are partners first, parents second, individuals third. If you skip that step, it’s very easy to wake up one day feeling more like co-workers running a household than a couple building a life together. Finally: fight. Not constantly, obviously. But disagreements will happen. Two people sharing a life, responsibilities, and stress are eventually going to clash. The key is to fight clean. Don’t say things you can’t take back. Sometimes it’s better to walk away and come back to the conversation later when heads are cooler. Just make sure you actually come back to it. Marriage is wonderful. Marriage is challenging. Marriage is always evolving. But if you put in the time, support each other, and remember that neither of you is perfect, and that you probably annoy each other equally, it can also be one of the most rewarding partnerships you’ll ever have.

Liam’s Cinnamon Rolls: A 12-Year-Old on the Rise by Peri Hayes In January of this year, Liam Tait — at twelve years young — began baking cinnamon buns with an initial goal in mind; to save money for a captivating 3,800 piece Lego set. Reaching his $600 goal merely after three weekends of baking, Liam has been immersed in the process of building his set. Liam dove into this adventure with an admitted combination of nerves and excitement, evidently met with great perseverance and determination. His first vendor show took place at the London Multi-Vendor Expo, which he recounts being a busy experience. Liam offers his cinnamon rolls in packages of half a dozen ($18.00), nine ($24.00), and a dozen ($30.00) – with lactose-free options also available. He sells individual cinnamon servings at vendor shows, about which he excitedly announces his latest participation at the May 2nd Shaw’s Scoop & Shop Market.

his Lego, he expressed that he wanted to keep the business going. He said, ‘Mom, if I continue, I can buy a car when I’m 16.’ Liam is certainly learning a lot throughout this process. He impressively sat down with his calculator and crunched the numbers to compare sourcing materials online versus at a wholesale supplier.” Liam and Angel have been grateful for the use of Gen Kroeker’s local Innovation Kitchen, where Liam prepares his products. As Angel further highlights, “Since Liam was very little, he always wanted to help others. Since realizing his impact, he strives to do so on a bigger scale through fundraising for local charities.” Liam participated in a raffle draw for the INN with a dozen cinnamon rolls, raising $245.00. He previously raised $250.00 for Animal Aide of St. Thomas-Elgin, and most recently contributed to a food drive for the St. Thomas Elgin Food Bank. As the flourishing entrepreneur shares, the construction of Liam’s Cinnamon Rolls website is presently in progress. In the meantime, the best means of contacting the business is through the ‘Liam’s Cinnamon Rolls’ Facebook page. On their announcement posts, orders are accepted in the comment section. Liam’s Cinnamon Rolls is also active on Instagram, for those wishing to follow along the ambitious Liam’s blossoming baking journey.

What inspired cinnamon rolls? Liam depicts fond memories of baking in the kitchen with his mom: “This is something that we like to do together.” Proud mother, Angel Davie, reflects on this experience alongside her son: “I love it! I initially provided the supplies and purchased the ingredients as my contribution to Liam’s Lego set, and Liam has been buying the ingredients ever since. When he saw how fast he made the money for

From There to Here: Raffa and Jovan by Peri Hayes Raffa Ambrosino and Jovan Dedic sit down for an earnest conversation about their experience residing in St. Thomas. Born and raised in Italy, Raffa felt ready to make a change in her environment and she took a leap of faith by moving to another country. Raffa initially moved to Toronto, enthusing, “I love the big city.” She then spent time in Boston, upon which recognizing her draw to Canada. She relocated to Vancouver in 2017, where she studied Hospitality Management in college and honed in on her background of previously managing a casino. Meanwhile, Jovan was born in Serbia and moved to Vancouver in 2016. Incidentally, he had studied at the same college as Raffa and the two had just missed crossing paths. Ultimately, in 2018, they met through a mutual friend and their love story blossomed. As Jovan lovingly describes, “I went to go see who is this Raffa – we began dating one week later.” Jovan works in the food service industry and has accumulated an array of experience serving, including travelling around the world while working on a cruise ship. Raffa exclaims, “I would love to travel more!” The pair welcomed their first child in Vancouver, and their second in London. Raffa shares, “I wanted to move to Ontario, as I thought that travelling with kids would be better in a big city. We moved to London in 2022 and honestly, I didn’t love living there. This led us to begin looking around in the local area.” “Transparently,” Raffa continues, “I am very social, and I have been feeling lonely here.” With two small children and often utilizing public transportation in the city, this has proven challenging at times. Raffa and Jovan did not know anyone when they moved to London, nor St. Thomas. They have been building their sense or community, about which Raffa expresses, “My work at the YWCA and being involved with this organization has been a light in my life.” Presently, Raffa is immersed in the Child and Youth Care Program at Fanshawe College. Grateful for the opportunities and growth which she has experienced through YWCA of St. Thomas-Elgin, she voices, “Jackie Anger (Director of Childcare)

is a person I need to say thank you to. If it weren’t for her, I don’t think that I would be in college right now.” As Raffa further details about her family, “We are travellers, and we love exploring the small towns in the surrounding area.” Raffa visited City Hall in September on National Day for Truth and Reconciliation: “I brought my kids with me, because they need to know – to respect the land, and to honour this important history.” Moreover, she and Jovan have been enjoying the local parks with their children. As Jovan concludes, “I also like spending time in Port Stanley, as well as in the downtown core here.” To this, Raffa proceeds, “I love the events in the summertime, such as Nostalgia Nights. The Pumpkin Prowl is also a great family event. St. Thomas needs — and thrives with — these events, bringing the downtown alive.” Their family moved to St. Thomas in 2023, wherein they foresee themselves raising their children and striving toward their goals.

The Return of Railway City Charity Car Show by Peri Hayes

Trust the professionals for all your moving needs! REEMAN THE MOVER LTD.

Christian Reith and William Goodman delightedly discuss the 2026 Railway City Charity Car Show. These friends joined forces last year to create a fundraising event in the community for the STEGH Foundation, simultaneously earning their high school volunteer hours. Before debuting the event in 2025, Christian and William sought financial assistance from family business, Reith and Associates. This dynamic duo surpassed their goal of $25,000 last year, which they have excitedly increased to $30,000 as they diligently prepare for the upcoming return. To this, William beams, “It is rewarding to see all of the support from the community as we build upon the foundation that we started last year.”

HELPING EVERYONE HOME

St. Thomas local, Christian, describes, “We chose to raise funds for the STEGH Foundation, because it’s more than a hospital to me; it’s where my family, friends and many people in our community rely on care. Supporting STEGH means giving back to a place that has always been there for us.” Meanwhile, London resident, William, offers his background: “I have been involved in other car events across Ontario, though this was a first-time experience last year alongside Christian and in this tight-knit, local community. We have found that people have been very receptive to this event and to our cause – coming together with the shared goal of celebrating the car community and supporting the STEGH Foundation.” Considering where an event such as this could suitably operate, Christian and William are thrilled to once again facilitate the Railway City Charity Car Show at the CASO Station – an aesthetic and spacious venue, which honours the city’s history. The vehicles are staged by Christian and William themselves, who encourage, “Come enjoy, and bring your camera for photos!” Moreover, they are grateful for the collaboration with photographer, Evan Lewis. Visit ‘evanlewis.expedition’ on Instagram to peruse Evan’s work. As these two car enthusiasts reveal, their shared passion stems from childhood and the cherished time spent with their respective fathers. Christian and William have thoroughly enjoyed bringing people together, about which they convey their gratitude for the level of support from local businesses, donors, sponsors, spectators and volunteers, along with the incredible car owners and their captivating cars. The featured cars will be travelling across southern Ontario, which includes participants from Windsor and Toronto. William cheerfully highlights, “We are in awe of how many people want to be involved, with 20 to 25 volunteers currently on board. This year, we are excited to be bringing the same kind of experience as before, now bigger and more refined.”

Mother’s Day: Heart (and the Soul) by Peri Hayes I miss my mom. Fortunately for me, there is so much in this world which evokes fond and lasting memories of her. When I see beach glass, I think of my mother – and so, I collect a lot of it, I create with it, and I say her name often and loudly – Jennifer Hayes, my momma. With Mother’s Day on the horizon and nearly one decade (simultaneously feeling like yesterday and many unforgiving years) since my mom passed, I still celebrate with the mothers in my life and in honour of mine. I buy delicate flowers for resilient women, and I reflect on all that my mom provided for my brother and me – demonstrating before us, empowering us, facilitating a blissful childhood – oh, how I do not take this for granted.

With a burning question, I turned to one of the strongest women I have ever known and one whom I deeply admire – Sheila Martin, my dearest nana. Nana experienced that which no mother ever should and many do, the death of her baby. My mother was 47 when she passed and still, she is her baby. “In your words, what does it mean to be a mother?” Upon consideration, here lie Nana’s answers: “A mother is loving, giving, caring, understanding, forgiving and a source of comfort – especially with hugs, many hugs, limitless hugs.” “Mothers are the glue of the family, and they are the heart (and the soul) of all civilizations.” “Mothers worry, even well after their little birds fly the nest. When you leave for school and begin your careers, we worry about you, still – just the same as when you were young and climbing that tree. I spent many sleepless nights, and I would do it all over again.” Working with children is another fulfilling facet of my current life. “I miss my mommy” are words which frequent my ears – and so, I hold them, I assure them that Mommy will be so- o-o excited to hear all about their daily adventures, and I remind these precious babies that they are safe. I cry internally sometimes, because I miss my mommy too. Sometimes I will say exactly this, and my students know that they are not alone – they are never alone. Whether your mother is next to you or at a distance, close in heart or estranged, your community will scoop you up and hold you. Because of my incredible community, I have not truly felt alone for a single day in my life.

It is a privilege and a gift to be the grown up that you had (or that you needed) when you were young. To the mothers reading, you are ca- pable of magic because you are the magic. Through the selfless time and sleepless nights dedicated to bring- ing visions and wonders to life, I see you and I wish you a fabulous, most deserved, Happy Mother’s Day.

Step Together for Compassion: Hike for Hospice Returns to Elgin On Saturday, June 6, residents across Elgin County are invited to lace up their walking shoes and take part in a meaningful community event at Waterworks Park in St. Thomas, the Hike for Hospice in support of Barrie Family Hospice of Elgin. The event is more than just a walk. It is an opportunity for the community to gather, remember loved ones, and support the compassionate care provided at the local hospice. Barrie Family Hospice of Elgin, known as The Cottage, provides specialized end-of-life care for individuals and families from across the region. “Barrie Family Hospice of Elgin is a place where comfort, dignity, and compassion come together,” explains Larissa Caruana, Community Engagement Coordinator. “We provide exceptional end-of- life care, walking alongside individuals and families through one of life’s most tender chapters.” Every detail at The Cottage has been created with families in mind. From peaceful surroundings to thoughtfully designed spaces, the hospice offers a calm and supportive environment where families can spend meaningful time together. “At the heart of everything we do is a deep belief in the power of community,” Larissa says. “Here, you are never alone. You are surrounded every day, every step of the way, by care, respect, and kindness.” That strong sense of community is exactly what inspired the Hike for Hospice.

“Hike for Hospice is an opportunity for our community to come together, connect, and support the compassionate care provided at Barrie Family Hospice of Elgin,” Larissa says. “It’s more than a walk, it’s a chance to honour loved ones, celebrate community and ensure that no one in Elgin County has to walk their end-of- life journey alone.” As a not-for-profit organization, the hospice relies heavily on community support. While government funding covers just over half of operating costs, the organization must raise about $1.5 million annually to keep services free for families. “We are incredibly grateful to our community for helping us build this hospice,” Larissa says. “But now that our doors are open, the work of sustaining this care begins.” Funds raised through the hike support everything from around- the-clock care by hospice staff to warm meals prepared by the in- house chef, as well as grief and bereavement services for families. Participating in the hike is simple. Community members can register online at elginhospice.com or in person at the hospice office at 8 South Edgeware Road. Participants can sign up individually or as part of a team. While fundraising is encouraged, it is not required. Whether walking in memory of someone special or simply supporting a vital community service, every step taken during the Hike for Hospice helps ensure that compassionate end-of- life care remains available for families throughout Elgin County.

City Councillor, Steve Wookey by Peri Hayes

City Councillor, Steve Wookey, has taken an interest in politics since childhood. He reminisces about watching Walter Cronkite read the news on his family’s television: “I always wanted to know what was going on in the world.” Born and raised in St. Thomas, Steve studied at Central Elgin Collegiate Institute before attending UWO where he was immersed in courses of economics and history. He ultimately shifted his focus from law to education, thereafter teaching at East Elgin Secondary School for five years before returning to his Central roots. While educating economics, history, law and philosophy, Steve also enjoyed coaching basketball and leading student trips to Europe. He retired in 2019, just before the pandemic. Meanwhile, Steve has been on Council since 2014 and seized an opportunity to run for Mayor in 2018. Asked what inspires Steve’s political pursuit, he responds, “The city doesn’t belong to me, I belong to it. With that, I want the city to be as good as it can be. My connections in St. Thomas are like an extended family. We live in a lovely community where everyone knows your name.” Furthermore, Steve expresses, “There is a commitment and resolve on Council, with strong leadership, compassion and compromise. We are working together professionally, and we get along very well – I feel a part of this team.” Steve intends to continue his involvement on Council in October, voicing, “I will remain appreciative to the people of St. Thomas if they show the trust in me to bring me back”.

Presently, Steve sits on the following Boards: Valleyview Home – Board of Management; Community & Aquatic Centre Steering Committee; Court of Revision - Drainage Petitions; Entegrus Inc. Board – Powerlines and Parent Company; St. Thomas Public Art Committee. Asked what Steve considers to be a significant milestone during his time on Council, he responds, “When the concrete and steel began at PowerCo. This is big for the community; creating an immense variety of work opportunities, allowing people to live and work in the city.” Steve is particularly passionate about offering healthy outlets in the community. “One of my core beliefs is that every human being has the capacity for growth and change. On Council, it is our responsibility as municipal government to provide local infrastructure and programming to help foster that growth and

On this note, Steve also highlights a need for a community recreation / pool complex. “We need more facilities in our rapidly growing community,” he encourages. “This is a process, all of vital importance for the long-term health of the city. Infrastructure and programming will support being active and nourishing physical, mental and emotional health.” Keen on building more outdoor trails and protecting the local parks, Steve conveys, “I am like the Lorax; I speak for the trees.” While honouring the gem that is Pinafore Park, Steve declares, “As we grow, we need another destination park. We are on the road to facilitating more green space.” As a long-term goal, Steve envisions a pedestrian bridge over the expressway at Hughes or Alma Street to connect people more easily to Waterworks Park. As Steve visualizes the city, he paints a picture: “Like Tetris, the evolution of St. Thomas is ongoing and pieces are fitting together. It’s a daily development of the city, and it is so cool.” Steve is grateful for his wife and adventure partner, Breeda Kevany, and their two children, Bridget and Owen. While detailing some of his favourite pastimes, Steve cheers, “I love learning new things. I enjoy gardening and landscaping, as well as golf, pickleball and tai chi.” Those interested in connecting with Steve are welcome to email swookey@stthomas.ca, or phone 519-633-8608. As Steve concludes, “St. Thomas has a lot going for it and has certainly evolved over the years, becoming that of a redemption story –

which I am personally drawn to. I see the improvements, and I feel proud to be in this community.”

Canadale Nurseries Celebrates their Flourishing Final Seasons by Peri Hayes Canadale Nurseries is a family-owned and operated garden centre and nursery dedicated to growing quality plants, supporting those bringing their thriving indoor and outdoor visions to life since 1955. Pauline Intven-Casier, Owner and Vice President, introduces, “Located in southwestern Ontario, we offer a wide selection of high-quality plants — from annuals and perennials to trees, shrubs and houseplants — along with gardening supplies, home décor and seasonal items.” Tailored to local climate and growing conditions, the knowledgeable team also offers their expertise through educational oppor- tunities, events and workshops. Pauline, alongside Tom Intven, Owner and President, discuss the admirable longevity of Canadale Nurseries: “From families returning year after year, to gardeners sharing their successes and stories, it became clear that Canadale was more than a business – it was a place that nurtured connections, creativity and a love of gardening. Continuing that tradition felt like both an honour and a natural next step for us.” What started with selling out of a wheelbarrow roadside has flourished into a cherished gem in the community. “At its heart, Canadale Nurseries is a place where people can connect with nature, find inspiration, and enjoy the experience of gardening – whether they’re planting their first container or designing an entire landscape.” “After many rewarding years in the industry, the decision to close Canadale Nurseries in 2027 ultimately comes down to timing and transition,” Pauline and Tom humbly proceed. “As

a family-owned business, it has always been deeply personal. The time is right to step back and enjoy a well-earned retirement, and this decision was not made lightly. Canadale has been a meaningful part of the community for decades, and that connection is something we are incredibly proud of.” As the business progresses through their final seasons, the Canadale Nurseries family strives to celebrate their rich history and ongoing connections within the community. “We hope readers understand that while we are closing, our focus over the wind-down period is on providing the same exceptional service, sharing our love of gardening, and making our final seasons meaningful and celebratory.” The pair continue, “We’re approaching the next two seasons with a sense of gratitude and celebration – honouring the relationships we’ve built, the customers we’ve served, and the role Canadale has played in helping people grow. now is on finishing strong and making these final years truly special for our community. After the garden centre closes, we are excited for a new chapter in our lives, while reflecting on the many years of rewarding experiences, friendships and connections that the nursery has provided.” With full hearts for Canadale’s impact over these 71+ years, Pauline and Tom earnestly express, “We would love to highlight the full legacy of Canadale Nurseries – not only the plants and products, but also the people and community. Canadale has been

a family-run business since 1955, built on principles of quality, care and service, and our staff have been central to creating the welcoming atmosphere our customers have come to expect.” With immense gratitude, Pauline and Tom conclude with the following message to the community: “Your enthusiasm for gardening and your loyalty to Canadale Nurseries have made our work truly rewarding. We hope to see many of you in the coming months as we continue to offer our full range of plants and products, and we look forward to sharing this wrap-up period with the people who have made our garden centre and nursery such a special place.” Located at 269 Sunset Drive, the garden centre will remain open until June 30th, 2027. St. Thomas and District Horticultural Society by Peri Hayes St. Thomas and District Horticultural Society, otherwise known as ‘The Hort’, was founded in 1870 and is regarded as the longest serving club in Elgin County. As Richard Cartwright reports, the red rose — his personal favourite — and the tulip, are the designated flowers of St. Thomas. The Hort organizes various events designed to celebrate community, connection and all-things horticulture. In 2022, the esteemed Annual Plant Sale was expanded and evolved into the Annual Plant Sale Garden Emporium. For this, horticulturists welcome the public to explore their displays of exquisite plants and garden materials. Richard assumes the role of Secretary for the group’s approximately 70 active members, with Diane Vaughan serving as President. Asked what inspired Richard’s involvement since ‘91, he shares, “I used to watch a program called The Victory Garden, which fed my interest in gardening and photography. I remain a proud member of The Hort, as I enjoy learning from the various speakers that we have featured over the years. I also look forward to the different activities, garden tours and flower shows.” The Hort supports causes in the local community, including Barrie Family Hospice of Elgin, the STEGH Foundation — specifically toward the new MRI machine — and the Thames Talbot Land Trust for the purpose of expanding Hawk Cliff in Port Stanley. The Hort’s seasons take place both from January through May and September to November, while members dedicate time to enjoy their respective gardens in between. As Richard announces, “We belong to the Ontario Horticultural Association (OHA), which is divided into districts and each holds an annual

general meeting. As District 10, we hosted ours at the CASO Station on April 18th for the first time since 2004.” Over 150

representatives were expected from societies across Elgin, Lambton Shores, Middlesex, Oxford and Perth County. There are several events upcoming this spring, which Richard excitedly highlights. On May 17th at the CASO Station, their Annual Plant Sale Garden Emporium will be celebrated. Richard emphasizes, “We’ll have annuals, perennials and garden accessories, as well as participating local crafters.” This grand event is open to the public, operating from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm. On May 27th at the CASO Station, Steve Peters will present during their Future of Food Production meeting. This gathering will commence at 7:00 pm, and members of the public are once again invited to join in on the educational and entertaining opportunity. On June 24th, members of The Hort will carpool to Sparta Lavender Farm for their highly anticipated field trip. In detailing the process of becoming a member, Richard warmly welcomes, “Come to our meeting, and visit the membership table where we will have information available. We have a speaker present at our meetings, as well as refreshments, door prizes, our Mini Flower Show, and we also have what’s called ‘Adopt a Table’ – where people bring in items they don’t want anymore, and individuals have the opportunity to pick up an item for free.” For those interested, membership costs $20.00 per individual, or $25.00 for a family with two adults residing at the same address.

To conclude, Richard voices what excites him about the St. Thomas and District Horticultural Society: “That we have been active in the community for so long. We are an open and inclusive society, valuing connection. We look forward to continuing our involvement in the community, and honouring the incredible longevity of The Hort.” With inquiries, peruse the St. Thomas and District Horticultural Society Facebook page to contact a representative.

Here comes the sun! by Kim Ariesen, Owner Studio Style May is the month of flowers blooming, warmer days and sunshine. It’s the month of renewed energy and growth, bringing the excitement of summertime fun ahead! And just like the month of May, fashion also brings forth newness, inspiration and fresh energy to its style, colour palettes and combinations. May is the bridge from early spring to summer, showcasing newness in silhouettes, looks and colour choices. Fashion for 2026 is taking centre stage with colour, inspiration from nature and the beauty that surrounds us. Eclectic mixes of floral designs, feminine touches of lace details, stripes, natural fabrics, minimalist styling and classic elements are representative of this season’s collections. Think of the white delicate flowers of lily of the valley, soft lavender tones of lilacs, the many pink/red shades of crab-apple trees, striped parrot tulips, colourful hummingbirds, ice cream colours and pretty things for Mother’s Day are all what’s in store for Spring/ Summer Fashion of 2026!

Spring into Summer with Colour! • Pastel pink, flamingo pink, bubble-gum and orchid pinks • Hydrangea blue, sky blue, vintage blues and denim • Lavender and soft lilac shades • Strawberry coral, melon and poppy reds • Tangerine orange • Marine blues and classic navy • Caribbean aqua, turquoise and spearmint tones • Chartreuse, lime and khaki • Soft white, creams, bright whites and honey coloured tan hues • And of course, black! Styling, patterns and details add character to every outfit. Fashion‘26 blends silhouettes, form and fit from both the 80s and the 90s, highlighting timeless prints and designs, yet they are new, current and modern. THE TURKEY SHOPPE Sweet Ginger Kabobs Perfect for Mother’s Day Don’t forget Turkey Breakfast

The secret to colour and its mixing and matching for 2026 is the level of choice. Elements of design in colour add dimension by using colour theories of monochromatic tones and by contrast, complementary colours of opposite shades. My favourite colour combination is the analogous colour palette of coordinating hues side by side on the colour wheel.

forth the best of both eras of the 80s and the 90s. Styling trends for 2026! • Wide leg jeans • Straight leg pants • Capri and ankle lengths • Shorter knits • Classic tees • Striped tops • Print blouses and denim shirts • Midi skirts • Floral dresses • Mixed metal accessories

The 80s gave us bright colours with high fashion styling, and the 90s, showcasing a subtle colour palette of black, white, light denim and tan tones that have transcended in time as simple wardrobe pieces. What a great year of choice! With the addition of a minimalistic wardrobe featuring a nod to the 90s styling, this era has been reintroduced into fashion for 2026. Carolyn Bessette Kennedy’s iconic style, wearing straight leg jeans, light-washed denim, classic tees, midi jean skirts, button-up shirts, slip dresses and sunglasses, is all good examples of simplicity and understated luxury. ‘Simply, elegant and inherently versatile, the magic of the 90s was an authentic expression of personal style.’ by Vogue in reference to Calvin Klein. I love this quote! Like all fashion trends, new fashion inspirations bring forward the best from the past, and Spring/Summer 2026 brings

• Comfortable trainers, ballet flats, sandals and loafers • Sunglasses as a statement

Natural fabrications of cotton, linen, bamboo, viscose blends and stretch fabrics are in full force. Casual wear of natural fabrics exudes effortless, chic styling with comfort and ease, leading towards artistic flair and versatility. With a contradiction of styles and colours from bright to subtle tones, Fashion’26 shows how it can be done! From modern, contemporary looks and attitude to classic, tailored designs of balance and harmony, make for interesting outfits you can create to call your own. Have fun with your style and remember to take a moment to enjoy the sun!
