Dear Guests,
Upravo smo završili veliko unapređenje glavnih IT sistema Er Srbije, što će vam pružiti dosad najviše mogućnosti, kad god putujete s nama. Krajem prošlog meseca prešli smo na Sabre platformu, najsavremeniju među platformama za prodaju, prijavu na let i ukrcavanje. Prelazak na ovakvu modernu platformu je, pojedinačno gledano, najveći tehnološki napredak u istoriji srpske nacionalne avio-kompanije, a ujedno se poklopio i sa, za nas, veoma simboličnim trenutkom. Sledećeg meseca slavimo 90. rođendan našeg nacionalnog avio- prevoznika, koji je počeo sa radom 1927. pod nazivom Aeroput . Mnogo toga se od tada promenilo, a danas avio-industrija prolazi kroz digitalnu revoluciju čiji je fokus na tome da se obezbedi što ličnija usluga svakom putniku. Prelaskom na Sabre sada možemo da vam ponudimo mnogo više kada je reč o prilagođavanju putovanja vašim potrebama. Na primer, sada možete da rezervišete željena mesta prilikom rezervisanja karata na airserbia.com ili to možete učiniti i kasnije, preko opcije Manage My Booking na našem sajtu ili pak kad se onlajn prijavljujete na let. Dakle, bilo da više volite da sedite do prolaza, prozora ili blizu sigurnosnog izlaza, gde imate više prostora za noge, izbor prepuštamo isključivo vama. Videćete da smo onlajn čekiranje unapredili uvođenjem opcije za bording-kod na mobilnom telefonu. Kod se automatski šalje na mejl, ali više ne morate da ga štampate pre nego što prođete kroz aerodromsko obezbeđenje ili prilikom dolaska – imate ih odmah spremne na ekranu pametnog telefona ili tableta. Druga naša nova usluga podrazumeva mogućnost kupovine jednokratne ili godišnje propusnice za naš luksuzni Premijum salon na Aerodromu Nikola Tesla , kao i mogućnost traženja povećanja količine prtljaga pre samog leta. We have just completed a major systems upgrade at Air Serbia, providing you with more travel options than ever before when flying with us. At the end of last month, we moved to Sabre, a leading-edge platform used for sales, check-in and boarding. Our migration to this modern platform is the single biggest technology upgrade in the history of Serbia’s national airline, and it comes at a very symbolic time for us. Next month we will celebrate the 90th birthday of our flag carrier, which took off in 1927 under the name Aeroput. A lot has changed since then and today the aviation industry is going through a digital revolution, with the focus being on providing more personalized services. With our switch to Sabre, we can now offer you much more when it comes to tailoring your journey to your needs. For example, you can now reserve your preferred seat when booking a ticket on airserbia.com or you can do it later, through the Manage My Booking feature on our website, as well as when checking in online. So whether you want to sit by the aisle, window, or in the exit row with more legroom, the choice is yours. On the topic of web check-in, we’ve enhanced this service by introducing mobile boarding passes. These are emailed to you so you no longer need a print-out when going through airport security or to the departure gate - just have it ready on your smartphone or tablet. Our other new services include the ability to buy single-entry or annual passes to our luxurious Premium Lounge at Nikola Tesla Airport, as well as purchase additional baggage before you fly. All of these travel options are aimed at giving you more choice, comfort and convenience with Air Serbia, tailored to your personal needs, and we will expand our offering over the year. In other news, we are now just weeks away from launching our new four-per-week service between Belgrade and Venice. Ambasada Republike Koreje u Beogradu sa ponosom predstavlja Dane korejske kulture, festival koji se organizuje prvi put u Srbiji. Tokom maja i juna publiku očekuje uzbudljiv program koji uključuje muzička dešavanja, izložbe, modu, kulinarski događaj… Posebnu pažnju skrećemo na izložbu hanboka (tradicionalne korejske nošnje) dizajnerke Hesun Li, koja je svoja modna dela nedavno prikazala i u pariskom Luvru. Ulaz na sve događaje je besplatan. The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Belgrade is proud to present the Days of Korean Culture, a festival that is being organised in Serbia for the first time. During May and June, the public can expect an exciting programme that includes live music, exhibitions, fashion shows, a culinary event etc. We will pay special attention to the exhibition of Hanbok (traditional Korean dress) by designer Hye-soon Lee, who recently presented her fashion creations at the Louvre in Paris. Entry to all events is free of charge.

He has been an organiser of more than 20 international film festivals and is also the author of the books Circles and Curses and Last Drop, as well as several screenplays for short and feature films. I pack all my stuff with me, which is why I usually have bigger bags. I often surprise myself with everything I have in them! In my hand luggage I always carry my phone, headphones, perfume, iPad and a book. I like to read because that makes the journey fly by

KO JE TIJANA? Rođena sam 22. decembra 1986. u Beogradu. Di- plomirala sam glumu u klasi profesora Neboj- še Dugalića. U mojoj porodici niko se nije bavio glumom, ali je kreativnost svakako izražena kroz profesije mojih roditelja. U seriji Vojna akademi- ja dobila sam priliku da se dokažem, pa me po li- ku Milice Zimonjić, zvane Zimče, ljudi uglavnom i prepoznaju na ulici. Van posla sam obična de- vojka, vrlo radoznala, a na trenutke znam i da bu- dem buntovna. WHO IS TIJANA? I was born on 22 nd December 1986 in Belgrade. I grad- uated in acting in the class of Professor Nebojša Dugal- ić. Nobody in my family had previously worked in acting, but creativity is certainly expressed through the profes- sions of my parents. I gained the opportunity to prove myself in the TV series “Military Academy”, so I am most- ly recognised on the street by my character from this se- ries, Milica Zimonjić, aka Zimča. Beyond my work, I am an ordinary girl, I’m very curious, and at times I can be re- bellious.

ŠTA VOLIŠ U BEOGRADU? Beograd volim u celosti. Poseduje zavodljiv šarm, pristaje mu njegova otmena ležernost. Nje- govom impulsu ne možete odoleti. To je grad pun neočekivanog, u večnom sukobu mangupa i gospodina. Ali i kao takav ume svakoga da zagr- li. Bilo da ste njegov stanovnik ili putnik namer- nik, on će vam pružiti ono malo neophodnog sa- učesništva. Suvišno je govoriti o broju slojeva i emocija utkanih u svaki kamen ovog grada. Ako bih baš morala da izdvojim neka mesta u svom gradu, to bi trenutno bila Savamala, koja postaje stecište kreativaca i ljudi koji uživaju u umetno- sti. Drag mi je i Dorćol Platz . WHAT DO YOU LIKE IN BELGRADE? I love Belgrade in its entirety. It possesses a seductive charm; its classy relaxedness suits it. Its impulse cannot be resisted. This is a city full of the unexpected, in the eternal conflict between thugs and gentlemen. Howev- er, even being like that it knows how to embrace every- one. Whether you’re a resident or a casual visitor, it will of- fer you a little of that essential compassion. It would be too much to mention the amount of layers and emotions that are woven into every stone of this city. If I really had to single out some place in my city that would current- ly be Savamala, which has become a meeting place for creative people who enjoy art. I am also fond of Dorćol Platz.
KOJA TI JE PRVA ASOCIJACIJA NA PUTOVANJA?
Radost. Uživam da upoznajem različite kulture i lju- de, a vrednost tih putovanja jeste u mom ličnom razvoju, u spoznaji i prihvatanju različitosti. Sva le- pota i jeste u tim razlikama. Zbog prirode posla če- sto putujem. U Srbiji ima dosta mesta koja volim, koja su prelepa na svoj način i kojima se rado vra- ćam. Kad je reč o inostranstvu, teško mi je da izdvo- jim neko posebno mesto, ali ovog puta poslužiću se Čehovom i njegovim delom Tri sestre . Irina Serge- jevna Prozorova na kraju drugog čina čeznutljivo usklikne: „U Moskvu, u Moskvu, u Moskvu!“ Eto, to je grad sa kojim priželjkujem ponovni susret. WHAT IS YOUR FIRST ASSOCIATION WITH TRAVEL? Joy. I enjoy different cultures and meeting people, and the value of those trips is found in my personal develop- ment, in recognising and accepting diversity. All beauty is indeed found in those differences. I travel often due to the nature of my work. In Serbia there are plenty of plac- es that I love, which are beautiful in their own way and which I happily return to. When it comes to places abroad, it is tough for me to single out a special location. Howev- er, on this occasion I will use Chekhov and his work “Three Sisters”. At the end of the second act, Irina Sergeyevna Pro- zorva wistfully exclaims: “To Moscow, to Moscow, to Mos- cow!”Well, that is a city that I desire to meet again.

U 21. veku život bez selfija je nezamisliv. Snimamo ih svuda i u svim prilikama, a reč „selfi“ je čak 2013. dospela i u Oksfordski rečnik . Zato je u Londonu trenutno jedan od najatraktivnijih kulturnih događaja upravo prva izložba fotografija posvećena selfiju, koja je do kraja maja otvorena u Galeriji Sači . Ova jedinstvena postavka predstavlja hronološki prikaz autoportreta od renesanse do današnjih dana i potvrđuje preokupiranost čoveka da slikom zabeleži predstavu o sebi.
Life without selfies is unthinkable in the 21 st century. We shoot them everywhere and on all occasions, and the word “selfie” was even added to the Oxford English Dictionary in 2013. That’s why one of the most attracti- ve cultural events taking place in London is the first photography exhibition dedicated to the phenomenon of the selfie, which runs until the end of May at the Saatchi Gallery. This unique exhibition presents the chrono- logy of self-portraits from the Renaissance to the present day, confirming man’s preoccu- pation with using picture forms to present his own image. Rome Italy, the world’s healthiest country If the latest research is to be believed, it seems that pasta and wine are the winning combination for a long and heal- thy life. Indeed, according to a global he- alth survey conducted by “Bloomberg”, Italy is the world’s healthiest country. It won this title by beating fierce competi- tion among 163 surveyed countries, wi- th the criteria including life expectancy, the mental and physical health of citizens, availability of fresh water etc. Thus Italians, who live to more than 80 on average, ha- ve better overall health than Americans, Canadians and Brits.

Prag Češki festival piva Po ugledu na minhenski Oktoberfest , svake godine se u maju u češkoj prestonici, na prostoru Letenskog polja, održava festival piva. Na ovom svojevrsnom karnevalu češke pivare izlažu više od 80 različitih vrsta piva, dok stotine momaka i devojaka obučenih u tradicionalne narodne nošnje uveseljavaju i poslužuju posetioce iz svih krajeva sveta. Ove godine festival traje od 11. do 27. maja, a tokom manifestacije, osim u pivu, možete da uživate i u čuvenim češkim specijalitetima. Čini se da su pasta i vino dobitna kombinacija za dug i zdrav život. Naime, prema istraživanju o globalnom zdravlju, koje je sprovela agencija Bloomberg , Italija je najzdravija zemlja na svetu. Tu titulu ponela je u oštroj konkurenciji od 163 zemlje koje su bile obuhvaćene istraživanjem, a kao kriterijumi su razmatrani očekivani životni vek, mentalno i fizičko zdravlje građana, dostupnost sveže vode... Tako Italijani, koji u proseku žive više od 80 godina, imaju bolju zdravstvenu sliku od Amerikanaca, Kanađana i Engleza.

Prague Czech Beer Festival Following the example of Muni- ch’s “Oktoberfest“, the Czech capi- tal holds its own beer festival in the area of Letná Park (Letenské sady) every year in May. This carnival sees Czech breweries present more than 80 different types of beer, whi- le hundreds of boys and girls dres- sed in traditional costumes enter- tain and serve visitors from all over the world. Podgorica Međunarodni sajam knjiga
Podgorica International Book Fair Books are cold but trusted friends, said So- crates long ago, and that is something that all lovers of the written word are well aware of. That’s also why many of them can hardly wait to visit the 12 th International Podgorica Fair of Books and Education, which takes pla- ce from 2 nd to 9 th May at the city’s “Delta City” shopping centre. Under the slogan “We have the world for you”, the fair will bring together hundreds of publishers from the region, wi- th Romania being the featured guest of ho- nour country. This year will again see awards presented for the publishing production and the best edition, while visitors can also expe- ct an interesting prize competition.

Naša je sreća, te ona svoju nadmoć retko pokazu- je. Najčešće je tu da nas zaseni, baš kao na ovoj slici. Pred vama je de- talj iz Nacionalnog parka Džošua tri koji se nalazi na jugoistoku američ- ke savezne države Kalifornija. Park zauzima oko 300.000 hektara i obu- hvata delove čak dve pustinje – Mo- have i Kolorado.

Legacy of Olja Ivanjicki The Historical Museum of Serbia is hosting the exhibition “The Legacy of Olja Ivanjicki”, which presents the most comprehensive cross-section of her diverse artistic creativity. Energija tradicije Nacionalni ansambl Kolo obeležiće svoj 69. rođendan gala koncertom Energija tradicije 15. maja u Centru Sava . Te večeri ansambl će se vernoj publici predstaviti u novom ruhu, pa će posetioci bar nakratko moći da osete moć umetnosti narodne igre, pesme i muzike. Kroz Kolo je do kraja 20. veka prošlo više od 600 umetnika. Energy of tradition The “Kolo” national ensemble will celebrate its 69 th birthday with a gala concert entitled “Energy of tradition” at Belgrade’s Sava Cen- tre on 15 th May. That evening will see the en- semble present itself to its faithful audience in a new light, enabling those in attendance to, at least briefly, feel the power of artists specialising in folk dance, song and music. Until the end of the 20 th century, “Kolo” had included more than 600 artists.
Parallel Reality From 15 th to 28 th May the large gallery of Bel- grade’s KC Grad is presenting Jelena Jelača’s exhibition Parallel Reality, which consists of a series of futuristic-mythological portraits of real characters who the author interprets in a vivid and interesting way. The dominant the- me is (self)portraits with the inclusion of auto- biographical details. A character of deliberati- on and a gift for details reflect the intelligent and intuitive nature of this artist, and contri- bute to the portraits she creates being classi- fied among the most successful works of this kind on the local art scene.

F ilmovi, posteri, žiriji i vre- Slavna filmska imena rame uz rame s potpunim anonimusima, koji posle Kana postaju zvezde, poslovni krem svetske filmske industrije, parada taštine, glamur, žurke… Nijedan festival nije toliko elitistički i demokratičan me koje prati festival, to je ono što se u Kanu iz godi- ne u godinu menja. Ono što ostaje jeste tretman filmova koji se prikazuju u dvoranama festivalske palate – Limijer, Debisi, Bazen. Pri- sustvo u Kanu je najbolji način za predstavljanje jednog filma, ali i ri- zik za budućnost, ukoliko ga kritika i publika ne zavole. Kanski festival je oduvek bio ma- gnet za velike reditelje, glumačke zvez- de, one čije vreme tek dolazi, ali i za angažovane autore, koji zbog cenzu- re u matičnim zemljama tu pronala- ze utočište. Proslavljena rediteljska i glumačka imena, rame uz rame s pot- punim anonimusima, koji posle Kana postaju zvezde, poslovni krem svetske filmske industrije, parada taštine, star- lete, žurke… Nije baš jednostavno obja- sniti prirodu ovog festivala, ali izvesno je da je Kan u isto vreme i elitistički i demokratičan. Sve je počelo davne 1939, kada su se pobesneli Francuzi povukli sa film- skog festivala u Veneciji, za koji su sma- trali da je obojen fašističkom propa- gandom, i organizovali svoj festival na jugu Francuske, na Azurnoj obali, na kanskoj Kroazeti, dodeljujući kao glavnu nagradu gran-pri festivala. Fe- šta je nastavljena posle rata, 1946, kada je festival doživeo svoje novo izdanje. Prvih godina održavan je u sep- tembru, zbog osvete venecijanskoj Mo- stri, koja se odvija tada, da bi od 1952. festival zauzeo maj, što je i danas tra- dicionalno vreme za prikazivanje po- kretnih slika sa svih meridijana. Na- grada menja dizajn i ime 1954. u Zlatna palma, koja je i glavni motiv na grbu grada na Azurnoj obali.

JEDAN TOPLES JE BIO DOVOLJAN
Prvi laureat Zlatne palme bio je američki reditelj Delbert Man, a na- građen je za romantičnu dramu Marti . Te godine Kanski festival je još imao provincijski duh – poznati reditelji i glumci intervjue su davali u kafeima, na projekcije su odlazili peške i pozi- rali foto-reporterima na plaži ili na bal- konima poznatih hotela. Ipak, incident kada je francuska glumica Simon Sil va odlučila da se slika u toplesu po- red tadašnje zvezde Holivuda Rober- ta Mičama učinio je da ceo svet čuje za Kroazetu. Od tog trenutka zvezde i fotografi počeli su redovno da pose- ćuju festival čija je legenda započela skandalom. Sa starleta kanski skandali prene- ti su u bioskopske dvorane, u kojima su se vodile prave bitke, poput one koja je usledila nakon projekcije fil- ma Avantura Mikelanđela Antonioni- ja 1960, kada je publika napala filmsku ekipu obasipajući je uvredama i gađa- jući je trulim paradajzom. Iste godine film Sladak život Federika Felinija, još jednog italijanskog velikana, izazvao je žestoke polemike i bes katoličke cr- kve, koja je pretila da će kazniti ver- nike koji budu išli da gledaju dekol- te Anite Ekberg. To je bila verovatno najbolja moguća reklama za film ko- ji će osvojiti Zlatnu palmu. U maju 1968. Fransoa Trifo i Žan- Lik Godar osvojili su pozornicu festi- valske palate, spustili zavesu u znak solidarnosti s radnicima u štrajku i pre- tvorili je u politički forum. Francuska knji- ževnica Fransoaz Sagan, koja je pred- sedavala 1979, otkrila je ono što je tre- balo da ostane tajna: da je na nju vršen pritisak da nagrada ode filmu Apo- kalipsa danas Frensisa Forda Kopole. Uprkos nadmoći koju nosi fabrika snova ispod brda s natpisom Holivud, ništa nije tako sofisticirano, elegan- tno, nenametljivo i slasno (poput uku- sa šampanjca) kao crveni tepih ispred Gran Palea na Kroazeti. Tu je sve be- sprekorno upakovano i mirišljavo, sa stilom, i to francuskim. Kan je svakog maja epicentar džet-seta iz svih kraje- va planete, gde posebno vole da de- filuju i predstavnici holivudskog kre- ma, ali i autori sa svih meridijana koji promovišu različite kulture.

Po presedanu žirija na čijem čelu je bio Stiven Spilberg, pamtiće se i 2013, kada su osim reditelja Ab- delatifa Kešiša, Zlatnom palmom na- građene i dve francuske glumice, Lea Sedu i Adel Egzarhopulos za film Pla- vo je najtoplija boja . Tokom sedam decenija Međuna- rodni filmski festival u Kanu je sino- nim kvalitetnog autorskog filma i gla- muroznih diva, ali isto tako zadržava svoj buntovnički duh. Publika, kao i kritika, i dalje se prepušta strastima i glasno reaguje. Za razliku od Holivu- da, gde se nikada ne zviždi dobitnici- ma Oskara, u Kanu se jasno i glasno iskazuje stav. Jubilarni, 70. Kanski festival, pun radosti, slobode i odvažnosti, i glumi- ca Klaudija Kardinale, simbol avan- turističkog duha i aktivizma, koja je na zvaničnom festivalskom plakatu, obećavaju veliko rođendansko slavlje u nijansama strastvene crvene boje i blistavog zlata. Duh otvorenosti i do- brodošlice i ovoga puta lebdeće Kro- azetom kroz filmove koji su ogledalo današnjice, bez ulepšavanja.

Naš prvi veliki uspeh u Kanu ve- zuje se za 1967. godinu. Tačno pre pola veka film Skupljači perja Aleksandra Saše Petrovića, koji je na autentičan način opevao sudbine Roma osuđe- nih na večno lutanje, pesmu i strast, osvojio je gran-pri i nagradu Međuna- rodnog udruženja filmskih novinara i kritičara Fipresci . Strani kritičari jed- noglasno su ocenili da je reč o izuzet- nom umetničkom ostvarenju koje su- blimira sve težnje savremenog filma, a pohvale su stigle i od američke glu- mice Širli Meklejn, koja je bila u glav- nom žiriju. Ipak, Zlatna palma pripala je Antonionijevom ostvarenju Uveća- nje . Razloga za slavlje bilo je i 1980, kada je Milena Dravić za upečatljivu ulogu usamljene žene u palanačkoj sre- dini u filmu Poseban tretman Gorana Paskaljevića dobila nagradu za epizo- du. Ime jednog od najoriginalnijih au- tora današnjice Emira Kusturice, koji ne potpada pod uticaje trendova, sma- tra se jednim od zaštitnih simbola naj- značajnijeg festivala na svetu. No festival is as simultaneously elitist and democratic as Cannes. What awaits us at its jubilee edition this year, from 17 th to 28 th May? T he films, posters, juries and times that follow the festival are what change in Cannes from year to year. What remains the same is the treatment of the films that are screened in the halls of the festival’s palaces - Lumière, Debussy, Bazin. A screening at Cannes is the best way to present a film, but it also poses a risk for the film’s future if critics and audi- ences don’t like it. Cannes has always been a magnet for great directors, movie stars, and those whose time has not yet come, as well as those filmmakers who find refuge here from censorship in their home countries. Cele- brated names of the film world jostle side- by-side with completely anonymous film- makers who become stars after appearing in Cannes, the cream of the global film in- dustry business, a parade of vanity, starlets, parties... It’s not easy to explain the nature of this festival, but it is certain that Cannes is simultaneously elitist and democratic. It all started way back in 1939, when the enraged French withdrew from the Ven- ice Film Festival, which they considered as being awash with fascist propaganda. And so they organised their own festival in the south of France, on the Cote d’Azur, on the Cannes Croisette, awarding the Festi- val Grand Prix as the main prize. The festi- val continued after the war, in 1946, when it experienced a new edition.

That same year saw an- other film of an Italian great, Federico Fel- lini’s la Dolce Vita, spark fierce controversy and the rage of the Catholic Church, which threatened to excommunicate any of the faithful who went to watch the controver- sial Anita Ekberg. Foreign critics unanimously evaluated it as an exceptional artistic achievement, which sublimates all aspirations of contemporary film, while praise also came from Ameri- can actress Shirley MacLaine, who was in the main jury. However, the Palme d’Or was awarded to Antonioni’s creation Blow-Up. We also had reason to celebrate in 1980, when Milena Dravić won the Cannes Best Supporting Actress Award for her striking role as a single woman in a small-town en- vironment in Goran Paskaljević’s film Spe- cial Treatment. The name of one of the most origi- nal contemporary filmmakers is Emir Kus- turica, who isn’t influenced by trends, and who is considered one of the most impor- tant trademarks of the world’s most im- portant film festival. Cannes discovered him, and since then has revered this dou- ble Palme d’Or winner, who presided over the jury in 2005. It was the films When Fa- ther Was Away on Business, in 1985, and Underground, ten years later, that earned him victory at the world’s most prestig- ious film festival, while his 1989 film Time of Gypsies won him the 1989 Cannes Best Director Award. If we add to this list Life is a Miracle and Promise Me This, Kusturica has participated in the competition pro- gramme at Cannes five times. In 1993, New Zealander Jane Campion became the only female director to win the Palme d’Or for her film The Piano. Following the precedent set by the jury headed by Ste- ven Spielberg, the festival of 2013 will also be remembered for the fact that alongside the director, Abdellatif Kechiche, the Palme d’Or was also award to two French actresses, Léa Seydoux and Adèle Exarchopoulos, for the film Blue is the Warmest Colour. During the seven decades of its ex- istence, the International Film Festival in Cannes has become synonymous with qual- ity auteur films and glamorous divas, but has also managed to retain its rebellious spirit. The jubilee 70 th Cannes festival, filled with joy, freedom and courage, and actress Claudia Cardinale, a symbol of the adven- turous spirit and activism, who is pictured on the official festival poster, promise a huge birthday party with shades of pas- sionate red and gleaming gold. The wel- coming spirit of openness will again levi- tate above the Promenade de la Croisette via films that are a mirror of today’s world, without embellishment.

InMay1968,FrançoisTruffautandJean- Luc Godard conquered the auditoriums of the festival’s palace, lowered the curtain in a show of solidarity with striking workers and converted the festival into a political forum. That year saw the festival end in fias- co for the first time in its history. The maes- tro of the scandal was one of the jury mem- bers. It was French writer Françoise Sagan, who presided over the jury in 1979, and who revealed what was supposed to re- main secret: that the jury was pressured to award the prize to Francis Ford Coppo- la’s film Apocalypse Now. Despite the superiority carried by the dream factory under the hill with the label “Hollywood”, nothing is as sophisticated, el- egant, unobtrusive and delicious (like the taste of champagne) as the red carpet in front of the Grand Palais on the Promenade de la Croisette. There everything is seamless- ly packaged and fragrant, with style; French style. Each May Cannes is the epicentre of the global jet-set, where the“cream’of Hol- lywood in particular like to parade them- selves, but also filmmakers from all corners who promote different cultures.

Monika Beluči, jedna od glumica u seriji, imaće i ulogu domaćice ceremonije otvaranja i zatvara- nja festivala, a legendarni španski reditelj Pedro Almodovar dobio je zadatak da predvodi međunarodni žiri koji će done- ti odluku o dobitniku jubilarne Zlatne palme, koju i ove godi- ne izrađuje kuća Šopar. IN THE HUNT FOR THE JUBILEE PALME D’OR This year includes 18 competing films, among them works of Oscar winner Michel Hazanavicius, Todd Haynes, François Ozon, Andrei Zvyagintsev, Fatih Akin, Kornél Mundruczó, Nao- mi Kawashima, Sofia Coppola and double Cannes winner Mic- hael Haneke, who has again been given a chance to win a third Palme d’Or and thus enter the annals of the festival. The grea- test exclusive event at the 70 th edition of the Cannes Film Festi- val is the premiere screenings of the first two episodes of the long-awaited continuation of David Lynch’s cult series Twin Pe- aks. Monica Bellucci, one of the stars of the series, will also host the festival’s opening and closing ceremonies, while legen- dary Spanish director Pedro Almodóvar has been tasked wi- th leading the international jury that will decide the winner of the jubilee Palme d’Or, which is being made again this year by company Chopard.
