Amélie Diotte , originaire de St-Eugène est enseignante à l’école Saint-Jean-Baptiste de l’Orignal.Depuis toujours, sa passion est le chant. Elle débute maintenant sa septième année de cours. Elle s'accompagne aussi au piano. Mélanie Couture , originaire de Lefaivre réside maintenant à Hawkesbury. Outre ses études universitaires en enseignement primaire, elle se passionne pour le chant. La musique fait partie de sa vie depuis sont plus jeune âge. Gabrielle Dubois est est originaire de Hawkesbury. Si elle gagne sa vie comme graphiste et photographe à Ottawa, c’est surtoutlamusiquequil’allume.Elleagrandi au son des vieux albums de jazz, de folk et de blues de son père, des styles qui lui collent parfaitement à la peau. < Tammy-Lee Martin est originaire de Cochrane mais se sent chez elle à Hawkesbury. Elle est adjointe administrative au Centre médical Ruby ce qui ne l'empêche pas de consacrer beaucoupdetempsauchant.Elles’intéresse à la musique depuis l’âge de 11 ans. Claudia Parisien habite Hawkesbury depuis toujours. Elle se donne une année blanche pour la musique ; elle participe présentement au concours « Ma Première Place des Arts » à Montréal et suit des cours de chant, de piano et de théorie musicale. Elle joint sa passion pour la musique à celle de l’écriture et compose ses propres pièces. Nouveau succès, le Club 100% Actifs s’est démarqué à travers des centaines de projets, cette fois-ci au niveau provincial avec la Fondation Trillium de l’Ontario. Le support de la population est une fois de plus sollicité, et ce pour une bonne cause, l’épanouissement de la jeunesse. COMMUNAUTÉ De beaux poissons et 1400 $ pour l’école St-Joseph
poissons beaucoup plus nombreux que par le passé, soulignent les organisateurs. Les trois plus grosses prises ont été enregistrées par Jacques Brazeau avec un doré jaune de 914,3 g, Henri Chartrand avec un doré noir de 373,4 g et Patrick Lortie avec un doré également de 311,7 g. Certains ont eu la déconvenue d’attraper des espèces moins appétissantes comme le “ dogfish”, espèce de croisement entre le poisson et la salamandre géante ont-ils décrit. Sous un soleil radieux, la rivière des Outaouais scintillait à perte de vue. Les participants s’étalaient de la marina de Lefaivre à plus d’un kilomètre à l’ouest, offrant un joyeux tableau parsemé de couleurs vives dans cette immensité bleue. Les enfants ont profité de la patinoire aménagée à leur intention, pendant que d’autres s’élançaient dans les glissades à l’arrière de l’école élémentaire catholique Saint-Joseph de Lefaivre. Les profits de l’activité sont d’ailleurs versés en totalité à l’école, environ 1 400 $. La somme sera remise au conseil d’école pour l’acquisition d’une nouvelle structure de jeux.

Une autre édition réussie pour la Journée Blanche du Club Lions de Lefaivre, le 11 février dernier. Plus d’une centaine d’inscriptions au tournoi de pêche, notamment, a permis de conclure au succès, sans compter 1 400 $ qui seront investis dans la structure de jeux de l’école élémentaire Saint-Joseph de Lefaivre. Tension came to a head in late January
when Baril, Monette and Councillors Alain
Carrière and Pierre Lessard approved the
vote of non-confidence against the mayor.
Councillors Teresa Ogle-Foreman and
Daniel Gauthier have backed Saywell, who
has dismissed as “frivolous” claims that he
is autocratic and disregards regulations.
According to the four, the vote of non-
confidence means that the mayor cannot
take any action or make any promises
without the approval of council.
Meanwhile, Saywell, who has
maintained he has merely been doing his
job, has threatened to take legal action
against his detractors. Baril has threatened
to sue Saywell for alleging he had ordered
the municipality to deliver sand to Les
Sources Véo, a Rouge River business where
Baril is manager. The delivery of eight tons
of sand, purchased at a cost of $128, was
done by a private contractor who hadmade
arrangements with a municipal employee,
says Baril. “I paid for the sand. There was
no freebee,” he insists.

the four, allowed they had a point. The
mayor cannot incur an expense greater
than $25 without the approval of council,
he said.
