Dragon drawing duo! Author visit
Y2 & Y4 Abbey’s Year 2 & 4 were buzzing yesterday as not one, but two top-notch authors swooped in for a visit! Joe Stewart and Steve Roberts had the children eating out of their hands with their jaw-dropping drawing skills. Our pint-sized reporters from 2J, Enayaa and Alexis, couldn't stop raving about the "amazing" pictures. "It was like magic!" squealed Enayaa, her eyes as wide as saucers. But the real showstopper came when the cheeky cherubs from Years 2 and 4 dared the dynamic duo to draw some cartoon critters. And boy, did they deliver! A fire- breathing dragon and a lovable pooch had the kids howling with delight. ASTON VILLA Eden Griffith in 4V has been offered a 12 month contract in the U12s squad for next season 24/25 with Aston Villa Women's Football Club. Eden recently returned to football after seeing 4/6 weeks out with an ankle injury. She has around a month to gain her strength and be ready for her trials to which she has done incredibly well. Her desire and tenacious attitude sees Eden push with her dreams most certainly in her football. Those who know Eden will understand just how much this means to her and she is naturally a football lover! Her family and friends are incredibly proud and pleased for Eden, looking forward to seeing her in her new journey. The sad thing is having to leave her grassroots teams Starz Academy Tigers, who she has captained for 2 seasons and been ever so proud of with her dad who manages the team! Eden is pleased with her achievement and proud to share with all she knows gaining their support as she continues her journey! Well done Eden reaching for her dreams!
