Nakon nesesera, torbi za laptop, cegera i drugih proizvoda izrađenih od rashodovanih uniformi zaposlenih Er Srbije, Humanitarna organizacija „Dečje srce“ pripremila je još jedan proizvod u okviru zajedničkog projekta „Uniforme dobijaju novu
Following the creation of toiletry bags, laptop bags, tote bags and other products made from retired Air Serbia employee uniforms, humanitarian organisation Child’s Heart has prepared another product as part of the joint project “Uniforms Given a New Purpose”. This time around, the product is a travel pillow made from material originating from former uniforms, continuing the process of repurposing them to create practical and durable items. The new product was made from skirts that were part of employee uniforms, while leftover material from vests intended for the production of laptop bags was used as filling.

Nov proizvod napravljen je od suknji koje su bile deo uniformi zaposlenih, dok je za njegovo punjenje poslužio preostali materijal od prsluka namenjenih izradi torbi za laptop.
Saradnja Er Srbije i Humanitarne organizacije „Dečje srce“ pokrenuta je sa ciljem da rashodovane uniforme nacionalne avio-kompanije dobiju novu namenu. Različiti delovi uniformi koriste se za izradu predmeta koji imaju praktičnu vrednost i mogu da nastave svoj životni ciklus u potpuno novom obliku. Poseban značaj ovog projekta ogleda se i u njegovoj društvenoj komponenti, budući da su u proces izrade uključene osobe sa smetnjama u razvoju angažovane u okviru Humanitarne organizacije „Dečje srce“. Na taj način projekat povezuje održivo upravljanje resursima sa podrškom inkluziji i stvaranjem prilika za radno angažovanje. Izradom jastuka za putovanja napravljen je još jedan korak u pravcu što potpunijeg korišćenja raspoloživog materijala. Čak su i ostaci nastali nakon izrade prethodnih proizvoda dobili novu funkciju, što dodatno potvrđuje ideju na kojoj je projekat zasnovan, da se uz dobar dizajn, kreativnost i pažljivo planiranje životni vek tekstila može značajno produžiti. – Od samog početka želeli smo da ovaj projekat pokaže kako održivost može da bude prisutna i u svakodnevnim poslovnim procesima. Posebno nam je važno što
The partnership between Air Serbia and Child’s Heart was launched with the aim of giving retired uniforms of the national airline a new purpose. Different parts of the uniforms are used to create items that have practical value and can continue their lifecycle in a completely new form. The project is also particularly significant due to its social component, as people with developmental disabilities are engaged through Child’s Heart and involved in the production process. In this way, the project combines sustainable resource management with support for inclusion and the creation of employment opportunities. Creating the travel pillow marks another step towards making the fullest possible use of available material. Even the remnants left over after the production of previous products have been given a new purpose, further confirming the idea behind the project: with good design, creativity and careful planning, the lifespan of textiles can be extended significantly. “From the very beginning, we wanted this project to show how sustainability can also be incorporated into everyday business processes. It is particularly important to us that we are able to find a new purpose even for material that

Prvobitni stanovnici, Gvanči, žive - li su u pećinama kako bi se zaštitili od surove klime i divljih životinja. Or - ganizovali su se u mala kraljevstva zvana „mensejatos“. Njihov život protekao je u savršenoj harmoniji sa prirodom. Nakon dolaska špan - skih doseljenika u 15. veku ostrvo, do tada poznato kao Ačineč, posta - je važno trgovačko uporište Kruna Kastilje. Godine 1833. Santa Kruz de Tenerife proglašen je za glavni grad Uprkos tome što je staro između 10 i 12 miliona godina, ostrvo Tenerife je u geološkom smislu najmlađa te - ritorija Kanarskih ostrva. Its original inhabitants, the Guanc- hes, lived in caves to protect them- selves against the harsh clima- te and wild animals. Organised into small kingdoms called menceyatos, their existence unfolded in perfect harmony with nature. Following the arrival of Spanish settlers in the 15 th century, the island, which until then had been known as Achinech or Chinet, which is generally translated as “my land”, became an important commercial bastion of the Crown of Castile. Santa Cruz de Tenerife was proclaimed the capital of the Canary Islands in 1833. Tenerife’s volcanic origins Despite being between 10 and 12 million years old, Tenerife is the Ca- nary Islands’ youngest territory in geological terms. And it could be said that it was born of fire. There were initially three distinct islands: Adeje, Anaga, and Teno, which for- med as lava accumulated on the ocean floor (submarine stage) and gradually rose to the surface (volca- nic building stage). In the third sta- ge, starting three million years ago and continuing to the present day (central building stage), the Las Cañadas complex was formed and, later, Mount Teide. O n 17 th September at the Kolarac Foundation Art Gallery, the Mihajlović Foundation - Feniks will present an exhibi- tion entitled World of Fantasy on Paper, presenting one of the few private collections in Serbia dedicated systematically to the preservation, study and presentation of the tradition of fantasy art. This exhibition is accompanied by a monograph of the same name that provides the most comprehensive overview of the collection to date. The exhibition will present works by top representatives of fantasy art, including Leonid Šejka, Vladimir Veličković, Miodrag Đurić Dado, Ernst Fuchs and Otto Rapp, and works by contempo- rary artists who are today developing and shaping fantasy poetics. Among them are Snežana Petrović, Željko Đurović, Vladimir Lalić, Julija Dašić, Sergej Aparin, Veljko Valjarević, Dragan Vuk Račić, Vladimir Dunjić, Marijana Rakićević, Slavko Krunić and others. By binging together creators from different generations – ranging from prominent representatives of Mediala and Euro-

F rom 18 th to 20 th September, Belgrade’s MTS Hall will become a meeting place for new film stories from Serbia, the region and around the world. This jubilee fifth edition of the FINE LINE FILM FEST presents a carefully selected programme of short films which – through varying po- etics and perspectives – address universal themes of love and loss, family, belonging, loneliness and quiet moments that change us. The Beyond Borders international com- petition selection and Made in Balkan re- gional programme will give audiences the opportunity to discover new filmmakers and some of contemporary cinematogra- phy’s most interesting voices. The FINE LINE FILM FEST isn’t only intended as a place to watch films. Rather, conversa- tions with authors, socialising with festi- val guests and the presenting of awards will further enrich the programme and create space for meetings between the audience and filmmakers.

Celokupan ansambl – glumci, hor, balet i orkestar – tokom čitavog izvođenja boravi na sceni, stvarajući dina- mičnu i vizuelno bogatu atmosferu. T his classical ballet spectacle, based on Charles Per- rault's famous fairytale and set to the famous music of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, will be performed on 19 th September at Belgrade’s Sava Centre. The performance relies on the original and extremely demanding choreography of Marius Petipa. The audience can expect monumental sce- nography, sumptuous costumes and the ballet ensemble’s superb technical performance of one of the most common- ly performed productions on the world stage.

Over the course of this three-day festival, visitors will be able to attend practical weaving workshops and en- joy an accompanying cultural and artistic programme. The Pirot rug, which is recognisable thanks to its specific patterns and mo- tifs, each carrying a special symbolic meaning and protective pow- er, represents one of the most important brands of Serbia’s in- tangible heritage.

N acionalni muzički festival posvećen delu kompozito- ra Stevana Stanojevića Mokranjca biće održan od 12. do 29. septembra u Negotinu. Tokom sedam dana, Dom kulture i druge gradske scene ugostiće brojne doma- će i inostrane horove, orkestre i soliste. Glavna takmičarska okosnica festivala i dalje ostaje tradicionalno „Natpevavanje horova“, na kom se najboljem ansamblu dodeljuje prestižna statueta sa likom slavnog kompozitora. Festival ne samo da slavi bogato nasleđe srpske duhovne i svetovne horske mu- zike već otvara prostor i za savremene muzičke interpreta- cije i naučne tribine. Pored takmičarskog segmenta, publika će uživati u večernjim koncertima vrhunskih simfonijskih or- kestara, izložbama likovnih umetnika u Mokranjčevoj rodnoj kući i nastupima izvornih folklornih grupa koje čuvaju auten- tični melos istočne Srbije.
S erbia’s national choral music festival dedicated to the work of composer Stevan Stanojević Mokranjac takes place in Ne- gotin from 12 th to 20 th September. Over the course of seven days, the Negotin Culture Centre and other city venues host nu- merous domestic and foreign choirs, orchestras and soloists. The main competition forming the backbone of the festival remains the traditional “Singing of Choirs”, which sees the best ensemble awarded a prestigious statuette sporting the image of the famous composer. This festival doesn’t only celebrate the rich heritage of Serbian spiritual and secular choral music, but also provides space for contemporary musical interpretations and scientific discus- sions. Alongside the competitive segment, attendees will enjoy evening concerts by top symphony orchestras, exhibitions by art- ists in Mokranjac’s birth house and performances by original folk- lore groups that preserve the authentic melodies of Eastern Serbia.

D ugo očekivani nastavak filmskog hi- ta iz 1998. godine stiže na redovni bioskopski repertoar 10. septem- bra. Sandra Bulok i Nikol Kidman repri- ziraju uloge sestara Ovens, koje ponovo moraju da udruže snage i prizovu drevnu moć svojih predaka kako bi se konačno suočile sa mračnim porodičnim proklet- stvom koje ih prati generacijama. Nasta- vak filma „Ljubavne čarolije“ donosi zre- liji osvrt na sestrinstvo, porodične veze i prihvatanje sopstvene prirode, obogaćen modernim vizuelnim efektima i atmosfe- rom koja podseća na originalni bioskop- ski klasik.

San- dra Bullock and Nicole Kidman reprise their roles as the Owens sisters and must once again join forces and call upon the ancient power of their ances- tors to finally confront a dark family curse that has dogged them for gener- ations. The sequel brings a more ma- ture look at sisterhood, family bonds and the accepting one’s own nature, enriched with modern visual effects and an atmosphere reminiscent of the original cinematic classic.
BITEF / BITEF „Usudi se da saznaš“ / “Dare to Learn”
U septembru se zavesa tradicionalno podiže za Be- ogradski internacionalni teatarski festival, koji skoro šest decenija (59. BITEF) suvereno dokazu- je da ovaj grad ne prati svetske trendove, već ih i stvara i preispituje. Pod selektorskom palicom Spasoja Ž. Milo- vanovića, BITEF pored scena Narodnog pozorišta i par- tnera širom prestonice, od 14. do 20. septembra donosi bogatu međunarodnu geografiju izvođačkih umetnosti.
A s is tradition, September sees the curtain rise for the 59 th Belgrade International Theatre Festival (BITEF), which for almost six decades has independently testified to the fact that this city doesn’t follow world trends, but rather also creates and questions them. Under the selector’s baton of Spasoje Ž. Mi- lovanović, alongside the stages of the National Theatre and part- ner venues across the capital, BITEF brings a rich programme of international performing arts from 14 th to 20 th September.
